HELP: mounting internal storage on HTC desire 816g MT6592 - Desire 816 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi devs,
My phone is HTC desire 816g dual sim(MT6592)
My problem is... whichever marshmallow rom I install... internal storage is not mounted.. so I can't use whatsapp... camera.. or any app that need internal storage.. Lollipop roms work perfect..
I read somewhere on the internet...that this problem is caused by twrp.. but there is no other recovery for my phone...
I searched a lot... but I didn't find any Marshmallow rpm that works... I flashed more than 10 marshmallow roms..
So please... help somebody..
Recovery tried:
TWRP 3.0.1 by ahmed hady (XDA)
TWRP 3.0.2 by keygen1( XDA)

hello, I have a solution to your problem, flash stock rom with sp flash tool then boot it, then shutdown your device and flash twrp 3.0.1 (ahmed hady) after flashing is done boot into twrp and go to wipe and format data and then boot into system again then shutdown your phone again and flash desired mm rom and your problem will be hopefully fixed, If you follow every detail I say, your problem will be fixed, it fixed mine after around 6months of struggle and should fix yours and I still don't know what the exact source of the problem is, just follow my instructions and your problem will be fixed
reply with the results and if it worked 'thank you' would be really appreciated

Every marshmallow ROM has high ram usage problem..
is there a fix for it?

[HOWTO]Endless Bootloop FIX (no wipe)

Hi I got a solution to endless bootloops (at least working for me ) every time I flash new ROM I got stuck with bootloops so I experimented little bit and this solution seems to be working ...
I am using CM10 with Semaphore JB
You will need fixrecovery.tar and Odin (I used v1.83) you can download them in attachments.
For those who don't have flashable kernel on Internal SDCard can skip step 5 and second half of step 3.
1. So first of all you have to remove SIM and SDCard.
2. Flash fixrecovery.tar with Odin and uncheck Auto Reboot
3. Get into recovery and wipe only cache and flash kernel you want
4. Flash normal kernel with Odin and again uncheck Auto Reboot
5. Get into recovery and again flash kernel of your choice
6. Now you should be ready to switch your phone on
Maybe this excessive flashing of kernel is not necessary but I did it this way
Did you make this fix by yourself? There is already a fix for bootloop from stratosk!
Yes I did... can you post stratosk's fix please ?

Didn't see that post earlier, but it's not working for me anyway ... I had to clear cache additionally
Thats big development time... Clear cache ftw!

Hello there,
Thanks for the guide. This hasn't worked for me?
I was upgrading versions of aways ROM (from ICS to Jellybean) and once I had flashed the ROM and GAPPS the phone rebooted. The link for the GAPPS was broken on the ROM website but it found me a replacement that I used. The phone does boot but FC on setup and no longer boots into recovery and is stuck in bootloop.
I thought this would fix the issue as I could still enter download mode but I still have the same problem? Phone won't boot into recovery and just loops...
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance : )
I have a device that is experiencing bootloop just stop at the logo, I think this is the kind of Mtk, rooted, Kitkat. I do not know exactly what causes it bootloop, Before bootloop I edit files and install Tweaks build.prop through the application My pimp and when I restart the device bootloop ensued, do you think this is file damage build.prop or else. So that my device bootloop

I've had that happen before when trying to flash from my external SD card. I had to move the file to internal memory for it to flash. Or if that's not it you could have a bad download of cloudy and need to try a new one.
same probleme
I've the same problem, even when I put the flashable on internal memory it doesn't work
I did erase by accidement everything on my device it's written ( no os installed )
and I can't flash a new rom due to the twrp problem, DID you fix it ? tell me how please.

help please ;) stuck on HTC boot screen

hi guys,
I knew I shouldn't have done this...have enough to do already without creating problems for myself !
So, all I did was flash TWRP which worked fine, then copied over UPDATE-SuperUS.zip and installed zip from TWRP then fastboot erase cache . Now I'm stuck on the boot screen...
is there a way to fix this ? I can still get into recovery and fastboot fine...just can't boot the OS.
I'm on UK Vodafone and had the marshmallow update recently. Hoping it's just a matter of flashing the stock ROM but I don't have it....
any help much appreciated..
Thanks,
Ant.
phew
flashing revolution HD brought it back to life....just gotta spend the rest of the evening reconfiguring now ;-(

Marshmallow requires SuperSU 2.65 or later. Using an older SuperSU version is the most common reason for stuck on boot screen after trying to root.
thanks mate, that will have been it...had 2.37. Revolution solved it (and SU) so happy...other than the fact I can't do an ln -s to link from sdrcard/show_box to push downloads to the external sd card. Says function not implemented...any ideas/work arounds ?

Internal memory loss - Installing twrp - Locked BL - Mi Max 32GB

Hi Guys,
I installed TWRP in my Mi Max (32GB) (locked BL) yesterday by replacing stock recovery.img with twrp image and flashing that miui8 dev build through MiFlash in EDL mode. After that my total space was showing nearly 8GB.
To mention, I followed all steps properly like clearing dalvik and cache as well as formatting system, data, internal mem but the same happened.
Again I completely removed mods and installed stock, 24GB space was regained. But now when this time also I installed Resurrection Remix CM13 in the same way as no other way worked for locked BL and unlocking bug has really frustrated me, same thing happened.
Somebody please take up this issue and help me. I wonder how people who installed CM13 RR on locked BL are not facing this issue..
hi karanhv post ur question in q&a forum that way more people will be able to respond to u . anyways from what i gathered ur trying to install global developer build over the global stable that came with ur phone so that u could unlock ur device so that u could flash custom rom like cm or rr . good news is that u can do that without unlocking ur bootloader just follow this guide here from step 1-17 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max/how-to/guide-install-global-miui8-root-t3435594 . just substitute the rom with cm or rr(personally tested by me on global dev rom.)
but things get a bit tricky if u want to stay on stock miui but want to have a custom recovery and root.skip steps 12,13,14,15. and go thru steps 16 & 17.now u will have stock miui with twrp recovery . now if u want to update the stock miui.go to updater app> click the 3 dot button on upper rt side> click on "download update" > the update will downloaded to "downloaded_rom" folder in ur internal storage.now boot to twrp recovery by switching of phone & switching it on again this time holding the vol+ button while it boots up.now after u boot into twrp recovery ,install the zip file that has been downloaded in the "downloaded rom" folder, immidiately after the install, flash supersu zip.now dont reboot yet, using TWRP's file manager navigate to system folder and delete file named "recovery from boot" and then reboot into system thus u will be updated on stock miui while still retaining root and twrp recovery. hope this clears up for u .if u follow all these steps u wont be faced with any memory loss
easy solution

I had the same problem with 64gb version.
In twrp go to wipe
Click option to delete data partition
It will tell you all data will be deleted and encryption disabled.
After data partition gets deleted twrp will report proper internal space, and ROM will also report proper internal space.
Be sure to backup everything before.

HTC ONE m9 boot loop after rooting

I have tried to root my HTC ONE M9. Like said, i followed the instructions and installed Twrp latest version. it went fine. And then it was asked to copy SUPER SU to the internal memory and then install in from recovery which i did. After that when i tried to turn my phone ON, its stuck in the boot page with HTC icon. I tried to clear cache, factory reset but didnt work. What i feel is the sense OS got corrupted. What should i do.I dont want to use a different UI as i want my default sense. What must be the problem.if i have to get a custom ROM, which one u guys suggest.Pls help me here
Than You
Restore from backup then use supersu v2.64 or v2.65
Where is the best place to get SuperSU 2.64 or 2.65?
When I was still using my M9 regularly this would happen sometimes. I think it has to do with the bootloader and/or kernel checking partition signatures and putting the phone in a bootloop if the boot/system partition was modified. Flash a custom kernel.
I have the same problem. Any solution that work ?
