Check out this Quality Best Buy ZAGG Glass installation. - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Accessories

Watch this Best Buy counter jockey install a ZAGG Glass protector upside down on this guys phone. The guy is going to have problems hearing people with the ear speaker covered up by the glass.
I believe you can get a better install from a $5.00 Crackhead on the side of the road.

Now, come on, be nice, why would you pay $5 to a crackhead when they'd do it for free?

lol that video is so sad

This is painful to watch

I had that clearflex screen protector installed at bestbuy, the first one he installed had a giant nick near the camera, he replaced it and the second one looked much better but obviously very crooked. How can someone install a wet screen protector so badly i'll never understand, anyway since they give lifetime replacements on these i'll just get it replaced at another bestbuy.

any good brands? or links to cheapies on ebay?
have you read any of the other 3 or so topics on this?
ya but none of them state which are good, clear hard screen protectors. they only say "this is a good one " or "I like this one" or "this one sucks" etc, etc...
maybe this will be helpful?

yeah I agree with you, I cant stand the way zagg feels on my TP2 its too sticky and makes my finger skip across the screen. I read 2 different threads at ppcgeeks and one on here and everybody just talks about which on is there favorite even on youtube all you find is unboxings and people talking about if they like it or not. I cant find anyone saying I have "_____" and it feels like "_____" so i understand exactly what you mean!
I even went so far as to ask on yahoo answers and got the same responses "Dude go with zagg its the best" or "heres a coupon code for phantom skins" nobody answered my question which was "How do the different skins feel?"
So... I emailed bodyguardz, phantomskins, ghostarmor, and clairvue.... they all replied except for clairvue and said they wernt sticky like zagg but the only one who is currently shipping the evo skin is bodyguardz and they wante like $40 to ship it to me b4 the june 4 launch date (NO FREAKIN WAY) now that its been a week and clairvue hasnt replied to me even if they do i dont wanna do business with them because if they poor customer service b4 i become a customer how are they gonna treat me once they already have my money?
Here is what I decided to do. I live in California so I'm surrounded by malls Ontario Mills, Montclair Plaza, Tyler Mall, Victoria Gardens and so on... I'm gonna go to one of them find a phone kiosk (you know those little carts in the mall that sell phone accessories?) and buy my skin from one of them because they will open it and let me feel it b4 i buy. I paid $45 for my full body zagg at the mall they guy put it on for me and everything but i hate it. My cousin went to a mall kiosk and paid $25 for some off brand one the guy put it on for him it feels great not sticky or anything protects his full phone sides and all (my zagg does not) and his phone doesnt have one scratch on it. I would go where he went but they closed down but all of those kiosks sell the same stuff its no big deal...
Ghost Armor.
It repels my face grease, my g'f's makeup, and my carkeys without fail. Comes with a lifetime guarantee, that will be good even if you have to switch the device through TEP! (Note: you have to bring the protector back to them and pay the installation fee again!).
It's not "terrible" on price ($15 for the screen, $25 for a full body + $5 for the installation) and works perfectly.
I've had others on older phones (Invisible shield) and they where sheer fail, but this one is exactly what I wanted!!
The feel is slightly rubbery, but I never have traction or grip issues. TBH it almost seems like my screen is MORE responsive with it on there!
Honestly, i picked up the 3 pack screen protectors they carry at sprint when i got my phone and think they're fantastic. They're a hard screen protector, easy to apply and have absolutely no stickiness or rubbery feel to them at all, my finger glides across without resistance. Like you i've been trying to find a "better" alternative but so far all i've found is more expensive and sticky options.
http://shop.sprint.com/NASApp/onlin...=Carry+&+Protect&selectedAccessoryID=ZCH6900V
I went with these after verifying with the seller that they are the hard type have a cut for the speaker and a hole for the front camera. they also cover from top to bottom including the buttons.
hkcyberport ebay
zagg is a little sticky, but doesn't seem to be interfering with anything yet. I was turned on by the whole "made for helicopter blade" thing, and it was the only screen protector I could get between the Sprint and Best Buy stores withing a few days of launch.
Turned on -> non sexually.
Add me to the list of Zagg haters.
I use the Seidio ones. They're pretty good. Nice and smooth to the touch(no stickyness). Also very easy to apply/remove. They do not have any adhesive on them, they are the "static" type. I really like them.
My only complaints would be that they aren't a 100% perfect fit, and they do collect oils from your hands somewhat. I wear glasses, so I carry microfiber cloth for cleaning pretty much everywhere I go, and a wipe of my phone every couple days keeps it in check.
Regarding fit: I have about a 1mm space on the sides that the protector doesn't cover. I re-applied mine a few times to get this unprotected space even on both sides. The edge overlap of the Platinum case I got from Best Buy ALMOST covers the unprotected space. So, not really a dealbreaker for me.
I am very happy with my Bodyguardz protector, I just wished it protected the back edges a little more.

I'm waiting for Amazon to stock the Seidio screen protectors. they got a 2-3 week backlog right now. But the Seidio's look great cuz they cover the entire front glass unlike the sprint ones which only cover the part of the glass that is above the lcd.

Add my vote! Boxwave is the best. I also have used on my Nexus One and Apple Ipad. Best bubble free screen protector IMO!
Just a quick update.. bought a few cheapies on ebay and they are the right textures. Clear hard and not sticky. I'll post brand/ seller / links when I get home. But they were the .79 cent cheapies. Only thing they are just slightly too short, there is about 2mm still exposed at bottom... doesn't quite fit the ear speaker but it was an easy fix. Got 3 diff ones from diff sellers just to try them out. They all ask to be same size layout ant texture..
I've read a coulpe of people's post about the screen flickering after using the screen protectors that require you to use a spray and squegee. I know everyone knows that the EVO has moisture indicating stickers and if they get wet it viods your phone's warranty unless you have the TEP from sprint. Are theses just isolated incidents or should these type of screen protectors not be used? Thanks for all your input in advance!!
If you apply too much liquid, you can cause that. Any time you are using a liquid around electronics you are taking a risk.
i tried quite a few before finding boxwave. I use those now for everything i can! I also like them because they are smooth enough to use swype with.

Looking good to get a different screen protector. Currently have a Belkin glare resistant one and don't like it when I'm looking at a white screen, looks dirty. Wondering what the best kind is. Thanks

haha I bet that confused ya
if you haven't herd of them. i would recommend an invisible shield by zagg. stuff is expensive but works great ($30 for screen). the main reason. they have a lifetime warranty so if you scratch the protector, peel it off and go get a new one free. i know at the store they had their new anti glare shield on the display ipad. not sure if they have it for the tab but its worth looking into.

I returned this. It's impossible to apply the film without having MANY air bubbles after it dries. It's a wet install, meaning you have to spray down both sides of the screen with an included spray bottle. I followed the instructions and installation was simple, but even after removing as many bubbles as possible with a flat plastic tool (also included), it dried with a lot of trapped air bubbles.
Is it worth $30? No, unless you're replacing it once a year to get your money's worth since you're paying a premium for the lifetime warranty.

ZAGG InvisibleShield

So I just got the ZAGG InvisibleShield for my i9300 for 29,95€, and I must say it was one of the most wasteful 30€ of my life. The cut is horrid, not covering large parts of the screen. Also why would they cut a hole for the led light?
My recommendation: STAY AWAY(at least until they fix it, which I doubt they will).
Getting a Copter one tomorrow as a replacement.

I think they have some kind of "money back guarantee", so I think you can get a refund or at the very least a working product when they have one.
But I do agree that ZAGG is overpriced and not at the level as some of their cheaper competitors.

Awesome gimmick
Seems like they were too much in a hurry to have a product so they can get on the GS3 accessory bandwagon.
Same experience here, paid about 15 ponds. The material is made of soft plastic, absolutely visible, looking from an angle at it, it looks like the Himalayan mountains. The fit is indeed very poor not covering the whole from side, thus making it prone to peel off. Going back to the cheaper protective shields.

Chears, smart decision! I am waiting for the original flip cover, so bought the Zagg as an intermediate protection, however since it's such a bad solution I took it of immediately. Get some shield on though... the S3 has such a pretty screen.

I don't want the zagg to cover the camera or the sensors, but I do want it to cover the area around them, which it currently does not do(it actually leaves the whole area above the speaker, sensors and camera completely naked). The copter I bought is cut in almost the exact same way, only it doesn't have a hole for the led light.

OH so are you basically saying its a large rectangle JUST for the screen?
(either way, I'll check back for your photo of it Not sure what else to use the gift card for lol)
edit: for a zagg type wet installation shield, I might even consider this - http://www.spigen.com/spigen-sgp-samsung-galaxy-s3-screen-protector-steinheil-flex-series.html
from the photo it looks like it will cover more of the screen. Steinheil make great screen protectors. Only issue is that I cant use the giftcard for it

Not only that, but the orange peel effect it gets is horrendous. Not sure if they're available for this device yet but XtremeGuard protectors > Zagg all day. Got mine for my Atrix 2 for $2 shipped on Amazon.
via Atrix 2/VictoryROM/XDA app
I got mine free with the phone, and of course I ****ed it up putting it on haha
I had bought one my self 4 years ago for my brand new HTC HD2.
I felt the same,a waste of money!!

Screen protection

So I was wondering if anyone had input on a good screen protector. I keep trying the cheaper ones an I'm always left with bubbles that I can't get out. Or its just not cut right.
Is it worth it to pay for the high end ones? Are they better with bubbles?? Amazon reviews I can't always trust, but you guys I do
Suggestions??
I'll take AOKP anything

I second this. They feel closest to glass to me.
OK cool. What about application? How hard are they to install? I used to do vinyl on windows and walls, that's no where near as impossible to apply smoothly

Go with Zagg Invisible Shield. BUT take it to an official Zagg/invisible shield employee..you can usually find booths in the mall. i say this because they take the time to apply it the correect way. unlike bestbuy or sprint who would just wipe the screen and slap the thing on there...or look up a youtube video on how to install invisible shield correctly...

Thanks! I just replaced a broken screen and wanted to get some good protection. I've bought off amazon before and their stuff just is cheap and doesn't feel right. Going to see if there is a Zagg booth in the mall by me!
hi
I got these matte finished screen protectors for like $5 on amazon there pretty good. if your still looking i can send you the link to it.
Honestly, I had a protector on mine for 6-8 months, I can't remember exactly. Took it off and never looked back.
I love the feel of the glass, and it's always in it's Sena leather slipcase, or charging. I don't think I would consider putting a protector back on at all, and when I upgrade this fall (Note 3???) I doubt I'll use one on it either.

[Q]Best BUDGET Screen protector

Hey everyone, I couldn't figure out whether this should be in QnA or Accessories, but I figured it should be here.
Anyway, is there any known brands that do screen protectors, but at a reasonable price.
I know about ZiggZagg etc, but spending £15 on a screen protector to me is ludacrus, they come off/start peeling after not so long, so I couldn't imagine paying that for 1!.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated !!!
Umm... the One X has gorilla glass? You don't need a screen cover. That's like trying to wear a sock over your shoe to protect it from the ground....

1 - Its nothing like trying to wear a sock over a shoe thats a stupid analogy
2 - I would of liked a suggestion thanks.
Actually i just ordered the dynaflo hard shield, but i've search for other screen protectors in case it won't be as good as i thought.
I came across skinomi screen protector wich look pretty great and covers almost the entire screen...it cost around 12$ (i dunno what's your budget but i think its pretty cheap..) here's a video about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otwcex1_uJg

Hense I want a screen protector.
CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND ONE ?!?!?!
I would stay clear of SGP ultra oleophobic...
Its nearly impossible to install correctly, picks up dirt quite easily and the rainbow effect is all over the place...
The only things i like it that it doesn't go round the edges so it wont peel off and the feel of the protector is almost identical to the HOX glass...
For the price i paid not very satisfied since i ruined the 1st one upon installation!
Best Skins Ever .

You can either get full body or screen only protection.
Cheapest price, BEST quality, the touch and feel is amazing.
I bought these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/6x-Clear-LC...901133?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4abb2d7fcd
unless u spend good money i find that most screen protectors are about the same. when i get them ill see how they stand up
I feel exactly the same as you. I've been looking for a decent screen protector since I got my One X. Unfortunately I can't advise you on any good ones as I haven't found one yet, but I can tell you don't bother with the official HTC one. I paid something like £8 (if I remember rightly) thinking it's the official one so it should be good but it didn't even fit the phone due to the curved edges. The edges were raise all around it which looked awful.
I'd be interested if anyone does recommend a decent one for a reasonable price.
And for the record, gorilla glass does scratch. It's not things like sharp objects that are the problem but minute grains of dust and sand rubbing against it. It scratches very easily under certain circumstances, such as in a gritty pocket or a pocket with sand in it.
well ijust recieved the ones from ebay... its clear but the protector doesnt cover the edges and ends like .2 in from the bottom
Well, the best that I have use so far is Skinomi. Have gone through all others and end up going back to Skinomi as it is the only which cover from edge to edge. The one who don't tend to collect dust on the side and it just annoying

Capdase makes pretty good screen protectors. Only thing you should be protecting your phone against is sand.
Thanks for all suggestions !
By the looks of it Skinomi looks best for me.
How is the install process, easy?
Does it catch dust or is it a clean install if that makes sense?
Thanks !!
Install process is not as difficult as dsbg, just make sure that your hand is wet

Bestskinsever are the best skins ever, super cheap, great support, i can recomend them enough
Hi,
i use bestskinever and i am very happy with it. The skin goes frome edge to edge and is very easy to install. I also compared it with de XO Skin which is much more expensive and coud not see andy diference.
Decided to stick with my 6 for £2 protectors
I Bought Gorillagard from Amazon for £5.99. It does not cover the whole screen but slightly wider than the ones just cover the center off the screen. The good thing about this screen protector is that if it gets dirty all you have to do is peel it off, wash it with water and stick it back on. It uses static to stick to the screen. The edges are a problem though but i ain't too fussed about it.
