Voice recognition timeout is too quick. Can this be adjusted? Can it be disabled or continuous? When I dictate any pause, catching your breathe stops the voice recognition. I wouldn't mind if it never times out.
Thanks,
Michael

Folks,
I have a Samsung WEP-500 bluetooth earpiece, which I keep various pockets. The problem is that I must keep catching the button which automatically redials the last number in the phone book. I have tried all things but which every pocket, I still keep catching the redial button. I presume that I could just empty by 'last received' calls from the phone but this is just a little too drastic.
Is there any ideas how to stop this behaviour with a setting or registry key? I have MS Voice Command and cannot do with this. Holding the same button for a longer interval enables me to place a call verbally. It just the single click that bugs me.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Is it possible to have speech recognition on demand i.e. without user holding home button.
What I am trying to ask is, Can I enable speech recognition using Speech APIs from my app?

While in a call on Skype or Hangouts my voice sounds very high pitched and sped up. Wifi calling and normal calls i sound fine. I've tried other kernels with no luck.
Turn off the "OK Google" Detection 'From any screen' which you'll find under settings in Google's 'Voice Search' app.
You may have to reboot.
how random is this!!!! I just tried searching this issue so many ways and tumbled upon this. i NEVER would have figured this out.
If I use voice commands, I rather use the "ok google" feature than tapping the screen. So is there a way to set the watch so it does not launch voice commands with a tap? It seems I accidentally touch the screen more often than I use the voice commands and each time that happens, it'll stop or pause whatever media related thing I'm doing on the phone.

I agree. It's really annoying when you're listening to music while walking or jogging.
Wait for te 5.1.1 update it will be changed to a appdrawer i believe.
