my s 8 plus does not work with charger stand - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Accessories

purchased fast charge stand [the one that costs around 28 pounds ,not the very expensive one] placed my s 8 plus on to with wall plug that came with the phone and it intermittently pauses charging .any ideas

must only be me then

Do you have a link for the charger you bought?

It's the charging plug that plugs in the wall. I had the same issue.
You need to try another plug. The only solution I was able to successfully use however was plugging in the USB into my computer port to make it work.

[Q] att zero charger problems

anyone having problems with theirs? when I plug in my phone it slows down and is almost unresponsive. if I plug the micro USB cable that came with my phone into this charger it thinks it is plugged into the computer. it says it is a 1A charger so I don't know what the problem is. I am definitely sending it back but wasn't sure if I should order another. I only paid 20 bucks for the charger, cable, and car charger through att but wondering if I should just order the blackberry chargers off Amazon for cheaper.
I also have the same issue..

Hi,
I also have the same issue. Did anyone has any resolution or should I return the charger?
Thanks
Not sure if it was the same charger, but I had to return one I got from AT&T a couple days later as the touchscreen stopped responding properly while it was connected. Swipe would jump all around and it couldn't track my finger correctly. No issues with the stock charger and cable or any generic cables plugged into iPhone converters since.
Ok just checked the AT&T site, it was the Zero charger. That thing is junk.

What USB cable to charge GN?

Guys, I have my normal charger at home which works fine. Here at work I have a fairly new (but cheap) USB cable. At work the charge never goes up, it stays at the same percentage all day. It charged my Optimus 3D fine.
If I swap it for a colleagues USB cable (came with his Windows Phone) it charges fine (same USB port or USB ac adapter).
Is there a certain type of Micro USB cable I should be looking for that's not stupidly priced? (in the UK)
Coming from an Iphone I didn't have any spare micro USB cables so I went to a computer store and bought 3 store brand (cheap) microUSB cables and they all work fine.
The only thing to take note of is some wall charges are seen by the phone as "USB" and not "AC Charger" and thus will only pull in 500mah which is pretty slow. If you install battery monitor widget by 3C it will tell you the amperage coming in and if the phone sees your connection as USB or AC.
I discovered my 1amp apple USB brick does not charge higher than 500mah only my samsung one does that came with the phone.

yeah, but if I use the same USB port or the same AC plug I don't understand why 1 cable will charge fine, the other gives just enough to keep it at the same percentage all day?

Car Charger - Slow Charging

Hello,
I'm trying to find a car charger that will work right with my One. So far I've tried two different 2-USB port car chargers and both 2.1A chargers and I've gotten an error of "Slow Charging" on my one. I've tried various chargers I had from before when I had an iPhone and they are giving me the same warning. Is there a charger that is known to work well with the One?
Thanks,
Tim
Try using a different USB cable as some of them have different pin configurations. I am using http://www.amazon.com/Anker%C2%AE-Output-Simul-Port-Charger-Built-/dp/B0080AWCTY/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1373316550&sr=8-4&keywords=anker+car+charger this Anker car charger and I have never got any messages. Although every charger does charge the One slowly. If you leave the screen on and use the phone (like ingress or navigation) the phone looses charge while charging.
Hi, i'm using this one for myself
Two USB ports and charges pretty fast
Also works at home

I just went through this as well and have solved it by buying the HTC vehicle charger. You can check your phone charging in the car by going into "Settings" and then to "Power". When the phone is plugged in it will indicate charging either by USB (slow) or AC which is faster.
I have several car chargers including 2.1 amp models and every single one would only go to USB charging mode. Another quick way to tell if you're in USB charge mode is that the screen will turn on when you plug in the charge cable. In AC charge mode the screen stays blank when you plug in.
I picked up the HTC single port USB charger online at Amazon for around $10 bucks. Plugged it in with my existing USB cable and boom, AC mode. Model of the charger I believe is C200 (pn 25531) and it comes with a coiled charger cord as well. They also have a dual port charger which is the C300 but I haven't tested that one.
I also feel a little more comfortable using the HTC charger as I know it's tested and sanctioned by HTC. Not that I haven't used a lot of really good in-car USB chargers by other manufacturers but in this case, the HTC charger is doing the job and was inexpensive. Cheers!
Thanks for the info, I'll check it out. I like having two USB ports, but it's pretty rare I charge both my Blackberry and One at the same time so I'll probably just get the single port. I see it on Amazon for less than $6, whereas the dual port is $25!

You're using the two port one? I just didn't want to pay so much extra to have a two port charger when I can get the one port for so cheap. Also, I did just discover that while running ARHD GE I don't get the error, so it seems to only be the Sense related error, but either way I ordered the HTC charger from Amazon, thanks!

I use Avantek. This little guy did an excellent job. With its combination of power ports and USB plugs it works perfectly for everything from iPads to radar detector. Charges my phone as fast as my home charger and always gives full charge to my One when I'm using the navigation app. FYI I found it on Amazon.
I buy from Amazon
Only have had my phone for 3 months but I have only used the HTC charger and cable one time. The charger got extremely hot when I charged my phone, since that first time I have used a samsung galaxy tab charger and samsung galaxy tab 6' usb cable. I have a 2.1 amp dual charger from pepboys in my truck. Phone charges quickly and does not overheat or any of the other issues i've heard of on here. I just chalk it up as samsung having good chargers and usb cables.
See my post regarding fast charging for specifics on the electrical damage in a car and the value of having a good charger:

Is a fast USB car charger harmful?
On that note. Monoprice.com offers great chargers at a great price. Guaranteed to charge at stock speeds. Great internal parts and quality control at near eBay pricing. I've bought many many of their products over the years and never has it once failed in me.
Alternatively, and unpractically, buy stock chargers.

The best car charger that I've found is from TechMatte. They have a black one and a white one, and I use the black one. It charges pretty quickly, and was only $8 to purchase, which was not bad at all for a high quality charger.

[Q] Note 2 charging speeds..

Here's the deal. I bought this http://www.ebay.com/itm/12131733658...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2648 last week and noticed it was taking forever to charge my phone using the provided wall and usb cables. I downloaded an app that told me how many amps my phone was charging at when plugged in and I got 500ma. I then plugged in an old garmin usb cable into my phone and it would charge at about 1500ma.
Now, the garmin wire is only a foot long so I cant use it in the car. I have a 3-in-1 car charging unit that is hard wired into the fusebox, for the gps, phone, etc.. when I plug the usb piece from ebay into the 3 piece with the usb cable provided it charges at about 300-400ma.. When it plug it directly into the car charging adapter in the car it charges about 500ma.
But when I plug the garmin cable into the 3-in-1 that charges at about 700 and directly into the car at about 11-1200...
So, my problem I believe is the cheap usb 'data' cable I bought from ebay.
Where can I buy a 6ft or so just straight usb cable that will charge at least at 1200ma for the Note 2??
I know this has been brought up 100 times but I havent really found a good answer yet.
I also tried cutting the green and white wires and even shorting the data pins with tin foil to no avail.
Please someone advise thanks!

USB from computer and car charging really slow....

Hi Guys,
I have a thinkpad which has regular USB and also a fast charge USB port. They have worked fine in the past on other phones and I used to see at least 1 amp charge rates. (on the fast charge port)
Using either port on the 20 X I only get about 200 ma charging rates?
I'm using "Ampere" to get the charging rates, it is definitely charging slower than normal...
Have you guys noticed this?
Also of note, It charges really slow from my car as well. On the hour drive home the phone only went up 4%. (This is a VW using android auto)
I think all bets are off when your using 3rd party chargers. I think Huawei might have some official accessories that you may need to buy.

I have a bunch of phones and every single one of them charges at normal charging rates off my laptop and in my car, this is pretty strange...
Huawei uses a completely different setup from QC 3 from charger to cable . How does it charge with the supplied charger and cable that you received with your phone? If you buy extra chargers for home or car make sure they say they do Huawei "Supercharge". They are a little hard to find but they are out there. Make sure the USB cable is rated for 5a(amps)

I haven't even used the included charger and cable, but plugged in at the house I do see 2 amp charge rates which is great.
The downside is that in the car with android auto I can't really plug it into anything other than the car's USB and that give me a really slow trickle charge. This is where a bulk of my charging occurs since I drive for work so much. Basically I have never charged my other phones outside of the car, I just use android auto all the time and the batteries are always topped off. So not being able to charge from car or laptop is not a deal breaker at all, but it certainly means I need to start carry a charging cube around everywhere.
Just seems odd for such an expensive flagship phone to not charge correctly via USB like every other phone I have ever had.
Try the supplied charger and cable just to make sure you do not have a defective phone. When you plug in the cable to charge watch your screen. It should show your battery percentage and a short lighting bolt. Then in just a second it should change to a long lighting bolt and say super charging. If it does that you know your phone is charging correctly. Take your Huawei supplied cable and use it on your laptop and car and see if that doesn't increase your chances speeds.

I gave the original cable a shot and it still basically charges at 200-250ma from my laptop. Very odd indeed. Not even seeing the normal 500ma that you would get on a regular USB port. (Tried both standard and high charge rate USB ports on my lenovo)
Anyone else seeing this behavior?
