[Q] Editing contacts tab in dialer?

How can i change the background of Contacts Tab? I could not find a way and it stays like in the picture.

the one that is behind the contacts tab is "dialer_tab_button_bg_normal.9". it is in DialerTabActivity.apk\res\drawable-hdpi

Any way I can get a different stock email apk other then what comes with the phone?

Have you tried maybe a AOSP variant? I haven't changed mine since it does five the option for a dark background.

Well there's no guarantee it will work but you could try pushing email.apk and exchange.apk from aosp to your system/app folder and see if they work.

Tried that already, didnt work for me. Tried doing it it root browser.

I would try different ones though..maybe try the slimrom version..
I say this because I have a working aosp MMS app that I use but the 5 I tried before hand simply didn't work..
If the slimrom one doesn't work try one built directly from source...that's the MMS one that worked for me...rootzwiki.com will have some...I always go to the Nexus section.

Slimrom worked but not exchange support. So I am getting closer. I will try rootwizi now.

Did you try renaming the lg exchange app? Maybe you can only have one?
I assume you pushed exchange.apk also?

Install?
It has to be pushed to /system/app/ and permissions set and reboot..
You can't install it like a regular apk..same for email.apk

When you say push, I just put them in system/app fold and gave them root access.

Did that way still no exchange.

Ill see if I can look t it later..I don't use my exchange much except for keeping my contacts backed up.

I figure it out, I found a 4.1.2 exchange and that worked. Thank you for your help.

please can anyone make a galaxy s5 lock screen effect for our s3.. i have seen the effects in many roms.. i just wanted that lock screen effect zip file... Thank You :fingers-crossed:

Go into galaxy s3 themes and apps and goto page 5 u will see s5 bubble lock screen. Let me know how it is I never used it

Yeah I didn't try it because I saw a couple complaints about it. Someone will port the developers on xda are amazing

i tried it.. it not same as s5.. Its a modified version of light effect and not bubbles !!

Wow, when i installed iconpack circles on "People" tile become smaller! I must try to change it to squares.

How can i get the default icons back?

New H2OS Oneplus Launcher (petition)

If someone have H2OS with root (update from today) could be awesome if upload new launcher with Pixel Launcher features, I was waiting for launcher update, but with my connection it's impossible to download 1.5gb to extract the launcher ?

Why don't a petition for a international H2os?

If somebody could let this to other ROMs, that's iukd be amazing! The launcher us one of the only things I miss from OOS.

I tried H2OS few months ago, and it's the same than OOS, little differences between both OS and I had problems with my contacts (I haven't my contacts with country code, so H2OS don't sync that contacts)

I'm using it in FreedomOS 2.6.1 (I'm updating to 4.1.1) I don't try it in AOSP.... A friend try on his Xperia Z5 and doesn't work

I change my screen density to 420, it changes number of rows in Oneplus Launcher and Pixel Launcher

Of course, H20s it's for chinese users. Chinese Market, chinese apps, NO google apps. Symlink error, google contacts error. That's why i sad about international version.
I've tested H2os, Aurora (H2os with some tunning).
