[Q] [HELP] My Desire seems to be dead!

Did a search in the forum and the other "dead desires" don't seem to be like mine, so here's going -
1) I flashed to latest MIUI rom and vorkkernel yesterday.
2) The phone worked for a few hours, then all of a suddenly the screen just went blank and the phone shut down.
3) I tried to switch on the phone in both normal and recovery mode by holding down vol down button, neither way works. The only thing that happens when I press power button is the notification LED blinks orange then green repeatedly.
4) I took out the battery for a few hours and replaced it, same thing
I don't really think it is the rom or the kernel, since I did the same thing a few months ago and there was no problem. But I can't even power on my phone now
Anybody can help?
Help ? Or did I post in the wrong forum
just hope it's not motherboard related ...
Hey !
I might know the problem, take out the battery and look if the things that go into the battery on the phone are right. My friend had the same problem, but we fixed it. Just use something to fix those small things so they are up, and not to the corners.
Hope this helped
I guess its a battery issue, try with *new* battery.
Crap, still won't work

Phone won't boot

Hi All,
My phone will not boot. I have tried soft resets multiple times. It will not even boot after I selected the factory data reset by holding down the volume down and power button since it seems like that requires a full boot to reset. During boot it shows the LG logo and sometimes makes it to the AT&T logo but after that either black screens, back to the LG logo and powers off, or boot cycles and keeps showing the LG logo multiple times. I have taken out the SD card and tried all these steps with and without it. Took out the sim card and reseated it. The phone is stock and not rooted.
Let me know if you guys need more information or have any ideas.
Thank you all and I'm sure this is been solved before, but I'm at work and don't have time to research so thoroughly through all the threads/posts.
if it's not rooted and stock, i'd send it back to lg under warranty

I have already put in a ticket to LG before this post for their return shipping information and repair. I was just hoping by some miracle that someone had a fix besides a factory reset since it won't even boot to allow the factory reset.
Thank you
Ok, sorry for the lacking help! Good luck, hope someone else replies with a suggestion
This just happened to me too.
Shows the lg logo. Sometimes the att logo.
But, just doesnt boot up. All i see is a blank screen :/
From everything i read here on XDA it seems that many of the phones are faulty.
Symptoms are almost identical. Outta no reason reboots and dead phones. Many of them are stock not rooted.
I have still no answer from LG about mine. Hope to hear soon. Something is going on with these phones but what causes it.....that`s the question....
The same thing happened to my H-815 model. I went to bed listening to YouTube and woke up to a dead phone. The LED doesn't come on when charging. Just like you, when I turn it on all I see is the LG boot screen and then it shuts off. The phone repeats this twice and then doesn't turn on again.

My LG G3 is being a douche and I don't know how to fix it!!!

I need some help guys!
My LG G3 (JX) recently died and when I put it on to charge it showed up with a black reboot screen. It cycles through the three options and doesn't allow me to choose any of them.
I've tried the hard reset loads of times and my computer is not registering the device.
Its not even showing up with the LG logo.
The phone was a hand me down and came packed with random apps (which were causing random downloads). I was planning on doing a factory reset but I can't even get the phone to start.
If anyone can help me, it'd be much appreciated
(Also if you can let me know how to post pictures on to the thread I can show you what screen I'm talking about)
Cheers
I know this issue sounds like a bad battery try that ive seen a few do this and it was a battery

Lg G3 D855 Problem

Hi guys,so i have a problem with my Lg g3 d855,for some time everything works fine and than randomly when i try to call my call window freezes, and it stays frozen. Then when i try to restart the phone it goes into reset screen and than just stays on black screen with green/blue LED flashing.I try pulling battery and puting it back in,phone boots, but i have no service, and my IMEI is Null, and baseband is unknown.I have tried many things, none of them seem to fix my problem, replaced the battery just in case cas i also get random restarts from time to time, didnt fix anything.Tried flashing custom Rom,flashing Modem,etc..nothing fixes the damn thing.
PS: I menage to get it to work after reseting few times with battery pull/insert,but than it randomly happens again.
If anyone has any suggestions they are welcome, also its out of warranty so taking it to repair is not possible, and im out of cash,so i kinda wanna see if i can work something out and use that as last option.thanks!

Lg G3 suddenly went permanent black screen.

Hello all, this happened recently today.
My phone just "shut off" into a dark screen and pressing/holding any buttons does absolutely nothing. I've plugged out the battery and tried to power it on again but it would do the boot screen then straight into a black screen.
I've also tried different batteries but that had no affect either.
The phone does not connect to my computer also.
Currently about over 2 years old, 5.0.1 i believe running the dragon root (i forgot the name but the post had a purple dragon i believe?)
Have you tried Download Mode?? If phone shows the LG Logo then I guess you have a change to enter download mode and recovery with a TOT or KDZ

I've tried going into download mode, but it went straight into the blank screen again. Would it still be in download mode?
the problem happen to the hardware. i think its Emmc card.

Try that
Maybe it was a short circuit. Has your phone reached high temperatures to overheat? Have you tried replacing some parts or sending it to a specialist? Your problem is probably a hardware error.
According to you say you can not enter recovery, download mode, or load, based on all this an old g3 that I had, had the same defects and take it to the technician and told me that the motherboard had melted in some sectors, can Be that it happened to you.
