bye.
Greetings!
As many of you know, G-Lite has been overdue for an update for some time now. There have been 2 T-Mobile OTA updates that G-Lite users haven't been able to take advantage of... until now.
After speaking with rmk, he's decided to allow me, tun4f1sh, to take over G-Lite development. I've rebased the ROM and cooked up a new kernel, and things are running OH-SO-SMOOTH. Here's all the stuff you'll need to know:
General info: G-Lite is a departure from other Virtuous ROMs in that it is effectively AOSP and designed to be lightweight, yet functional. If you find yourself discarding most of the features of Sense in favor of specific apps of your preference, this ROM is for you.
Features
Supported on the G2 and DesireZ only.
Minimalistic, lightweight ROM with +200MB of memory free at startup.
/system and user partitions partitioned and aligned with ext4.
Extremely battery efficient (dare I say, the BEST battery life of any Vision ROM?).
Based on Vision_Gingerbread_S_TMOUS_2.16.531.5, HTC's take on AOSP.
All device hardware fully functional, including wifi, bluetooth, camera, camcorder, etc.
Advanced power menu options (reboot/recovery)
Virtuous OC Daemon and memory optimizations.
Kernel 2.6.35.13 Vision Gingerbread kernel. Do NOT use AOSP kernels with this ROM (e.g. Pershoot, Cyanogen).
Market-sourced applications (Gmail, Maps, Voice, etc) automatically installed on first boot into /data/app for easy removal.
Replaced stock Gingerbread launcher with LauncherPro.
Wifi-Calling conditionally installed for US T-Mobile users.
Bloatware and unnecessary applications removed.
Rooted, deodexed.
All applications zipaligned on boot.
Trackpad wake fully supported.

Changelog
2.0.1
Code:
- Fixed installer script syntax error that was causing user preferences not to be applied. It was also causing extraneous data to be left behind possibly causing system instability (including notification bar lockups)
- Added option to use the "experimental" kernel compiled from MDJ's source (the kernel from 1.0.7).
- Create a "use_experimental_kernel" file in your /virtuous_glite directory to use the experimental kernel.
- The experimental kernel offers you more frequencies to overclock with, and has more features/functionality built into it (at the cost of stability/battery life in some cases, YMMV). See MDJ's github for more information on what's included.
2.0.0
Code:
- New kernel based more closely on HTC's source, and the original G-Lite kernel by rmk.
- Kernel changes:
- Rebased on HTC's original source (previously I used mdj's source)
- Fixed USB mounting (broken in HTC's source, was working with mdj's)
- Reduced Wifi voltage slightly
- Call volume levels slightly boosted
- Source: https://github.com/tun4f1sh/virtuous-kernel-7x30-gingerbread
- Screen on: ondemand 245->998
- Screen off: conservative 245->368
- Added "Reboot" and "Recovery" options to the shutdown menu (long press the "power" button)
- Create a "disable_apm" file in your /virtuous_glite directory to opt out of the feature and use the stock framework.
* NOTE: If you used UOT kitchen to theme the ROM, you'll need to redo your theme or opt out of APM as I've made framework changes.
- Replaced Mms.apk from TMO base with one compiled from AOSP. This resolves all MMS being converted to a slideshow.
- Replaced "4G" status icons with "H" icons.
- Create a "use_4g_icon" file in your /virtuous_glite directory to revert back to the 4G icons.
- Updated Market apps
- Removed all traces of Swype. Install it from their website if you want it.
- Removed some extra bloat from /system/app (~10mb)
- Removed htc_ebdlogd from /system/bin (Just to be safe, not sure if it has malicious/intrusive capabilities)
v1.0.7
Code:
- Fixed automatic mobile data connectivity (APNs) for international users.
- Included CM7 sensor driver (should resolve capacitive/qwerty backlight issues)
- SD Card read ahead set to 4096
v1.0.6
Code:
- EFS partition wiped during ROM flash (this should always be done when switching ROMs, just automating it to make your life easier)
- Added conditional trackpad wake (create "disable_trackpad_wake" file in your /sdcard/virtuous_glite directory to opt out of the feature)
- Fixed notification on LED not functioning (thanks cswroe for the tip)
- Added CM Tones, changed default from lame Tmo jingle :)
v1.0.5
Code:
- Fixed USB
- Fixed Camera
- Added ext4 support
- Added CM7 APN list
- Other fixes and things :)
v1.0.4
Code:
- Rebased on the latest T-Mobile US OTA 2.16.531.5
- Kernel patched up to version 2.6.35.14 (sources [url]http://goo.gl/yYUn7[/url], defconfig [url]http://goo.gl/VLfvV[/url])
- Market applications, superuser updated
- Zipalign script/binary added (thanks Darky, tsubus)
Customizing the ROM
By creating any combination of the following files (in bold) (contents do not matter) on your sdcard in the /virtuous_glite directory (create it if it does not exist) will allow you to customize the ROM to your liking. Once the files are in place, simply flash the ROM, and your settings will be picked up by the install script and your ROM will be customized accordingly. These preferences will persist between upgrades and re-flashes of the ROM.
use_stock_launcher - override the use of Launcher Pro in favor of the stock GIngerbread launcher.
disable_trackpad_wake - opt-out of trackpad wake feature
disable_apm - opt-out of advanced shutdown options (restart/recovery) and use stock framework.
use_4g_icon - use the "4G" (marketing) icon instead of the "H" icon.
use_experimental_kernel - use the older kernel (last seen in version 1.0.7) that's compiled from MDJ's source (with a few of my own fixes). This kernel allows more frequencies for overclocking, as well as some other features that MDJ has merged in. See his Github for more information. (Not supported)
Patches
Patches should be flashed via recovery after the ROM.
Desire-Z Physical Keyboard Patch - Flash this if you find that your physical keys aren't mapped correctly. Thanks to revolution48
Please don't forget to hit "thanks" and rate the thread high if you enjoy the ROM!

Does this rom has dutch language?
International users, please let me know if the Wi-Fi calling auto removal goes over without a hitch. It's the same logic from the other Virtuous ROMs, so it SHOULD work.

No, English and Spanish are the only languages HTC included. Sorry
why tun4 why... I just got sense 3.5 set up nicely.. looks like its going to nandroid. ill give this a shot, thanks
EDIT: Is there extended settings or is the notification bar blank? this is a no no for me ): because i do not know what to replace the toggles with
Very nice I am downloading this as I type this. I will report back if there is any problems, but chances are, I won't which means I will be one happy camper.
erichung, there was no extended settings in the previous version, so I seriously doubt it will be in here.

Disappointing..
I just finished doing a complete wipe via CWR, flashed the ROM and have been using it for the last couple of minutes.
tun4fish, I am very much thankful for your work and pushing for G-Lite to getting its much needed update. With that being said, I am by no means whining about the things I'm about to post below, but just small things I came across already and I thought maybe this would be considered feedback and to help towards that original G-Lite feel to it. Much thanks for your work!
- Just like in the previous version, the power control widget is usable only after applying to a homescreen and rebooting.
- Some bloatware that was removed in 1.0.3 seem to have made a comeback in this version. Such apps included are Setup and News and Weather. Nothing that Titanium Backup can't fix, but still.
- Battery indicator is AOSP, while 1.0.3 had a different mod (I have no idea who it belongs to)
Again, thank you very much for making me a happy camper with my G2 all over again. Your work is much appreciated.
erichung, for confirmation sakes, there is no extended settings. Sorry
Well well it's nice to see this I have been waiting quite awhile. Many thanks for taking over the project. I can't wait to get this installed and give it a spin.

Can anyone fill me in on the improvements the OTA bring? I mean, it will be improvements, but what exactly are the biggest changes?
Thanks for releasing this Tuna, will be flashing this tonight and let you know what I think
EDIT: Also, any thoughts on Google not redownloading my apps?
Thanks for the camera fix!
Anyone having issues with the Power Control widget? Not working for mine
FIXED: Rebooted and works fine. Sorry guys
Nice to hear there's an update . Does anyone know if the build in FM radio is supported in this ROM? The previous G-lite didn't. Thanks....
Does not seem to support ext4 like previous version.
Hello.
This is a Q&A or F.A.Q Thread for all 4.4.x ROMS.
First of all note that for flashing any 4.4.x ROM, you have to have a 4.2.2 TW ROM or a stock 4.2.2 ROM or if you have already flashed any 4.4.x ROM, that will be it.

Note:
1) Don't ask for help on roms which are in alpha or beta stage. Developers will solve them.
2) Note that most Samsung stock apps will not work on these roms.
3) Don't ask about ETA's of dual sim. Till date only cm-11.0 has implemented dual sim.

*I will not answer these type of questions. It is your wish which ROM to flash.
*How to upgrade to a newer build of the ROM?
*Simply flash the newer build upon the older one.
*Which recovery should I use?
*Use pawitp's 6.0.4.5 CWM recovery non - touch. Or use xenon92's 6.0.4.7 CWM recovery non - touch.

CM-11.0 FAQ
How do I enable Dual SIM?
Starting from the 20140309 release, Dual SIM support is available on an experimental basis. To enable or disable, run the following command from adb or terminal emulator and then reboot. SIM Settings can then be found in Settings -> Multi Sim Settings.
Enable:
Code:
su
setprop persist.radio.multisim.config dsds
Disable:
Code:
su
setprop persist.radio.multisim.config none
Note that Dual SIM mode currently has the following limitations:
Both SIMs are always enabled (no way to disable one SIM)
"Receive incoming call while data is enabled" is always enabled
The QuickSettings tile will display the status for the currently selected SIM for data
There is no arrow activity indicator in the status bar.
Changing 2G/3G network mode using the QuickSettings toggle is not supported, only do it from Settings.
Changing 2G/3G mode in Settings may show too many options if the language used is not English. If more than 3 options is shown, only use the 3 top options (which will be WCDMA only/GSM only/WCDMA preferred regardless of the actual label shown).
3G may not work properly if Dual SIM mode is enabled with only 1 SIM inserted
Cannot set different ringtone for each SIM
Baseband version not displayed in Settings
What are incremental/delta updates?
Delta updates allow updating from one version to another downloading only the difference rather than the full ROM, for those on limited bandwidth. They are named like "cm-11-20131215_to_20131216_delta-UNOFFICIAL-i9082.zip" which means that it can be used to update from 20131215 to 20131216 (simply flash it in recovery like any other update). Delta updates will not work if you have installed custom kernels or other system modifications, including editing build.prop. In those cases, downloading the full update is recommended.
Can you include Feature X into your ROM?
No. This ROM will have CyanogenMod's feature set.
Can you include S-Note/S-Planner/MultiWindow/Insert Samsung App Here?
No. This is an AOSP ROM and cannot have TouchWiz applications.
Can you include call recording?
No. CyanogenMod does not include call recording to avoid potential legal issues.
Can you add Feature X to the stock ROM?
No. I don't work on stock ROMs.
What kernel does this ROM use?
A slightly modified version of the stock kernel, the source code is linked above.
I've heard that Broadcom doesn't release source, how can you make this ROM?
Contrary to the popular belief, userspace driver source code is not always required to make an AOSP-based ROM as long as the proprietary binaries shipped with the device does not modify the API too heavily (or is from a very different version of Android). Instead of modifying the source code of the drivers, the Android source code was adapted to be able to use the proprietary binaries.
Can I use your ROM as a base?
http://source.android.com/source/licenses.html
Most of Android/CyanogenMod is licensed under the Apache License with other small parts licensed under other open-source licenses. Which means that you may modify and redistribute without asking for permission as long as the proper credits is given and it is not misappropriated as being the official CyanogenMod. (In other words, you must say that it is based on pawitp's unofficial CyanogenMod, but is not related to CyanogenMod in any other way.)
Will you make this official CM?
Due to the amount of work and commitment involved, I am not planning to make an official CM port.
Can contacts be saved to phone/SIM?
No. It is not supported in AOSP-based ROMs.
Can I mirror your ROM?
You're free to, but I will not list it in this post.
Is overclock (OC) available?
Since 20140101 build, 1.3 GHz OC is available in Settings -> Performance -> Processor (enable developer mode first). Higher frequencies are not enabled since benchmark does not show additional benefit.
Will feature X from a previous version of CM be implemented?
I don't know, probably will be, eventually. I don't really involve myself in the feature-set side of CM.

pawitp has strictly mentioned in his thread that you report bugs in his thread.
ProBam KK F.A.Q
when probam in black turn on , the systemui make force close
try to switch off black ui then restart and try enable it again
after dirty flash the device hangs and systemui make force close
you need to make wipe all and clean cache and make fresh install in this case
when try video recoding the device freeze or slow down
screen video record with ondemand or pegasusq governors u will have a laggy recorded video. If you try with performance governor from performance in settings , then the video will be a lot smoother.
Camera crashing some times and not works anymore "camera not connected"
the rom included an small application "camera restart" you can use it for fix this issue
titanium recovery not restore my applications
For those who cannot find their previous files, because CM based rom will target the sdcard storage to use root/0/ directory.
So normally all the files besides the root/0/ directory will not be shown on the file explorer.
To solve this, you will need a file browser that has ROOT capability, eg. Root Explorer
then go to mnt/shell/emulated/ all your file should be here.
Now move all the files into mnt/shell/emulated/0/ folder.
Should solve the problem.
Privacy guard IS working?
after enabling privacy guard in security settings
you have to switch to settings>apps and then choose to enable or disable each app individually.
I'm sure nobody would want to tick every single app, that would almost be the same as enabling airplane mode.
I want PIE!

PACman FAQ
PIE FAQ
Q. What is PIE?
A. PIE is a new way to interact with your notifications. It provides easy gesture based interaction with all your system information without taking up valuable screen space. PIE is what you see in this image.
Q. How do I access Pie?
A. Swipe your finger from the pie gravity edge (default is the bottom) toward the center of your screen. While keeping your finger on the screen, drag your finger to the desired button and release to click.
Q. My PIE doesn't look like the ones in the screenshots. I don't see the Clock or notifications.
A. Notifications work either through the status bar or PIE. If the status bar is enabled, PIE reverts to just the softkeys. To enable the full PIE experience, enable Expanded Desktop by going to Settings -> System -> Power Menu -> Expanded Desktop (Status bar hidden). Access the power menu and turn Expanded Desktop on.
Q. How do I change PIE colors?
A. Go to Settings -> Hybrid Properties -> Interface and change the Navigation bar color.
Q. Buttons or keyboard rows near the edge of my screen are nonresponsive.
A. PIE's trigger area overlay is covering the edge of your screen. Change either the Trigger Area or Pie Gravity in Settings -> System -> PIE Settings.
Q. I don't like PIE, how do I turn it off?
A. To disable PIE set Trigger Area to None in Settings -> System -> Pie Settings. Remember to disable Expanded Desktop to turn status bar on again.
ROM FAQ
Q.Do I need to do a full wipe before installing this ROM?
A. Unless coming from a previous version of PACman it is highly recommended to do a full wipe before installing. This includes coming from ParanoidAndroid ROMs.
Q.What do the settings in Hybrid Properties do?
A. ParanoidAndroid has an extensive guide to the settings at this thread: [GUIDE][PARANOIDANDROID] A Complete Compendium on ParanoidPreferences [PA-Settings] Please do not post questions related to PA Settings in this thread, they are not ROM specific and all we'll do is point you to that thread.
Q.How do I turn on the Navigation Bar??
A.To enable the NavBar open Hybrid Properties, swipe the screen to the right to peek through to the menu.
Select Interface, now set your desired NavBar size with the slider.
Q.Something isn't working. What do I do?
A. First, make sure you are running the latest stable version. That should solve half the problems. If it persists, backup data using Titanium and do a full wipe reinstall. If the problem persists, report what it is and what triggers it so the dev can duplicate it.

Sprint Hybrid ROM SeriesLOLLIPOP 5.1.1
(Android 5.0.1 ROMs are in post #2)
I bring to you a Hybrid Sprint N910PVPU4COG5 ROM. Built from the official Samsung OG5 tar ball. The initial ROM release is available in Odexed and Deodexed. Both are identical beside being odexed or deodexexd. The ROM will self root upon flash and it has init.d/busybox support (to be determined once we have a kernel that supports it). Knox and Sprint Itson has been removed completely. The "Basic" ROM includes the stock pre-rooted OG5 "Beastmode" kernel provided by @freeza
Other than a few small mods and the REMOVAL of Knox, Sprint Itson and several pre-installed "bloat" apps, this ROM is stock in every other way. I spent a lot of time with root and the updater-script to make it flash and pre-root as it should with no hassles. I DO NOT give permission for ANYONE to use this ROM or any future version of it for your own ROM base or any other derivative of my ROM. So don't do it! I will build a stock base ROM soon and it can be used for other peoples' projects. Thank you. Enjoy!
About ROMs:
Hybrid Sprint N910PVPU4COG5 ROM **initial release for Android 5.1.1 software rev. OG5**

Build.prop tweaks
Important Note: Before flashing this ROM. you MUST first have done one of the following: Taken the Lollipop OB7 ota update OR odin flashed the stock N910PVPU1BOB7_N910PSPT1BOB7_SPR rom tar or NEWER Lollipop build such as OE1, OF5 or OFG. If you are still on ANY KK based rom (including any KK AOSP/CM based roms) then you MUST first update to Lollipop by one of the two methods I mentioned above, BEFORE flashing this ROM. If you are still on the first Lollipop 5.0 OB7 rom or a stock/custom KitKat ROM and have NEVER updated to Lollipop before then I highly recommend flashing my custom OB7/OG5 rom tar found HERE. Read that thread for more information.
Flashing Instructions***Before beginning the flash/setup process MAKE SURE your battery has at least 50% charge and/or connected to the charger!!!***
1. Backup anything you don't want to lose off your internal storage to another location.
2. Download the rom using your pc. (downloading with your phone has a much higher risk of file corruption. Not recommended with large files).
3. VERIFY the md5!!! Once the download has finished, compare the AFH md5 using a md5 tool on your pc. (Google is your friend).
4. Put the downloaded rom onto your internal storage or external micro sd card.
Before you go any further you need to odin flash the latest TWRP (recovery). Uncheck the "auto-reboot" option in the Odin tool before flashing TWRP. Once it finishes flashing, press and hold the home button, volume down and power button for several seconds until it reboots then QUICKLY press and hold home, volume UP and the power button and it will reboot to recovery without the need to do a battery pull. Otherwise continue to the next steps below.
5. With phone powered off, reboot into recovery by pressing and holding volume up, power and the home button until you see the samsusung logo then release all buttons.
6. Once in recovery choose the wipe button and do a factory reset three times. Optional but recommended is to do a "Data" wipe. This will wipe all of your internal storage so MAKE SURE you backed up first like i said in step #1 above! Then go to "advanced wipe" and select all of the partitions EXCEPT micro-sd card and internal storage. Internal storage is optional but recommended on first time flashing Lollipop.
7. Choose the "Install" option and select the rom "Hybrid_Sprint_N910PVPU4COG5_Deodexed" from either your internal or external micro-sd card. It will flash the rom and give a confirmation once completed.
8. Press "Reboot" then "reboot system".
9. Initial rom setup will take around 10 minutes and remain on the yellow Sprint Spark screen for much longer than what you are used to. Let the phone setup/optimize for at least 10 minutes and the screen WILL eventually turn off OR show the setup wizard screen once it finishes.
10. When you see the screen turn off, you can proceed with the setup wizard. Once finished with setup wizard, you will be prompted for the "connections optimizer". Quickly set it to what you want and close it. That's it! You're done! Setup your rom as usual. Enjoy![/B]
WARNING: Flashing anything on your device is done at your own risk. There is no way myself or any other developer can guarantee that flashing this ROM or any other file will not brick your device or otherwise cause some other type of damage. Sprint Hybrid ROM SeriesLOLLIPOP 5.0.1
(Android 5.1.1 ROMs are in post #1 above)
About ROM:
For those of you who want your phone to have that pure stock look, feel and reliability along with the extra features that should have come on the phone straight out of the box..... this ROM is for you. It is completely stock other than disabled knox, root and some added features which will make you Happy Happy Happy!!!
This is the ROM that should have come on your phone when you opened the box. For my "Basic" ROMs the list of extra features will be limited because these are the base ROMs for all future builds which will include more features, mods, theme, etc.. What this means is that these stock "base" ROMs (along with it's few extra features) will remain just as they are and will NOT be changed, themed or modded in any way, unless an issue arises which I will fix. Later on, as time permits, I will release modified/themed versions which will have even more added features, tweaks and mild theming. This is the Hybrid Series ROM, which basically means combining the best mods & features from different devices and developers from XDA and making it better and more enjoyable, while at the same time giving you that reliable stock look and feel which you know so well. This is not an over the top themed rom. There's no developer signatures, names or logos throughout the ROM. I always keep everything looking clean professional and stock with no flamboyant icons, colors etc. This is my personal ROM that I use. It will progress and remain true to these standards. Enjoy!!!

***This Basic OB7 X-Series ROM will not be changed or updated. More features will be included in future builds of Hybrid X-Series ROM which can be found below***
Install Instructions:
If coming from stock NIE or NK2 KitKat rom you MUST first take the Lollipop ota update OR Odin flash the stock Lollipop OB7 ROM tar found HERE
Thanks @-viperboy- for uploading the stock OB7 tar! This is MANDATORY that you do this before flashing any stock or custom lollipop rom via recovery. NO EXCEPTIONS. There are necessary carrier partitions and updated bootloader etc that must be written to your device for Lollipop. BEFORE you Odin the stock OB7 rom tar you MUST reboot into recovery and do a factory reset AND wipe everything (except micro sd-card) several times. If you don't do this you will have left over data that will cause issues once you odin flash OB7. You have been warned. If you ignore these instructions then you are to blame for not following these simple instructions. Once you do these steps and you're on the stock Lollipop OB7 rom you can proceed to the Instructions below
* Flash using the latest version of TWRP custom recovery
1. Download my ROM zip file and copy it to either your internal storage or external micro-sd card.
2. Reboot into custom recovery. Do a factory reset. Then wipe cache, wipe dalvic cache and wipe system. Wipe each three times for good
measure. DO NOT ACCIDENTLY WIPE MICRO SD CARD!!!
3. Choose Install and select the rom zip file
* Lollipop flashes take a few seconds longer than KK roms. Once it finishes, choose reboot system. First boot will take around 15 minutes.
When the screen turns off it's ready for user setup.
* Done!!!
* Enjoy your fully working stock Hybrid Edition ROM!!!

* fixed Advanced utilities apps so they now show up when set to quick settings
* Added V4A/Dolby audio link in Samsung music settings for easy access and futher improves the stock look & feel.
* updated Galaxy tools to 3.1.8
* I may have forgot something... this will be the last release for a while and I wanted it to be stable and bug-free.

Fingerprint recognition working after NAND restore?
I'm still waiting on my Note 4 to arrive but have been reading through the forums looking for this, a very basic stock ROM to start with 'til I see a custom ROM with the kinks worked out.
One of the ROMs had an issue with Fingerprint recognition not working to unlock the device after a NAND restore. At that point they hadn't figured out if it was something relative to the Chainfire root process or the ROM or some Samsung issue after root. They were able to use the backup password but couldn't get the fingerprint recognition to work anymore at all, even after going back through the setup for it.
Has anybody tested fingerprint recognition after a restore? Any issues with that?
They were having some issues with Xposed as well. Is anyone running Xposed on this ROM yet? Any issues?
Glad to see everything is working!!
I took a hiatus for the holiday period and being in retail my time has been primarily on making them $$
Back for the next few weeks till the big Christmas hits and i may go dark for another week!!
Great job on getting things fixed and running right! !
ROM looking good!

You are talking about the actual saved fingerprint continuing to work from your nandroid restore correct? I personally haven't tested a saved fingerprint after a nandroid restore but I would have to assume that IF fingerprint scanner stops recognizing a saved fingerprint after a nandroid restore that it could likely be caused by the encryption getting broken during nandroid backup or restore process. If somebody has time to test and confirm the fingerprint scanner still works after a nandroid restore using the same saved fingerprint prior to the nandroid backup, please report back. Otherwise ill test this as soon as I have time. The fingerprint scanner itself should work just fine after a restore.
Edit: saved fingerprints and scanner work perfectly after a nandroid restore. This is not an issue.
fingerprint scanner
I have done a restore after system my system went haywire from trying to change dpi.it recognized my finger print
Will you port over download booster from a tmobile rom? Also do you have a flashlight toggle?

Flashlight toggle and torch light option is already in my plans for future release. Download booster is already in the rom vi toggle. Just long press the toggle and it will take you to download booster. I will try to add it in regular settings menu when I can. I don't need to port anything from a different rom to do this.

The download booster can be toggled in the factory ROM as well but it doesn't actually work. The one from T-mobile actually does. Did you import that or are we working with what came shipped on sprint phones? Thanks.

It is the way it come shipped from Samsung & Sprint. Download booster is not enabled on the Sprint version and there's no toggle for it either. I did add the toggle but not the settings menu entry. I haven't tested it but if it doesn't work then that would explain why it wasn't an available feature out of the box. Why it doesn't work i couldn't say... other than incompatibility issues.

Sounds like a post I made & I still haven't been able to get fingerprint scanner to work. I am currently running Semper Fi ROM, which is nice & smooth, but I'm downloading this right now to give it a try.

I'm not responsible for any damage to your device of any sort.
By flashing this you take responsibility of anything that happens.
Process at your own risk!
This firmware was developed for the p905. It doesn't apply to the p905v at this time because it's bootloader locked and a custom recovery isn't possible.
If you want to check firmware - please make backup. Better to store all partitions, at least efs and may be modem.
This port based on the "QS_N7_Port_v2.2" port for samsung note 3, big thanks for @qaraqumus
This is first preview version, a lot of problem here, it need to clean-up. Some applications has only vertical, because this is port from phone.
The point of this thread and the test port to see if we need any port, or enough lineage? On the one hand lineage easier to control, it's building from source. On the other hand - the stock and all its features
Instructions
1. Install custom recovery
2. Download the zip - firmware
3. Backup all partitions (it least efs) and store somewhere - it need to do - because you can loose imei
4. Full wipe all
5. Flash firmware
First boot will be very long (about 10 minutes). Be patient.
Work
Almost all work: calls, mobile data, wifi, bluetooth, sound, vibra, sdcard, mtp, s-pen, gps
Known Issues
- microphone in skype
- phone app vertical only (need replace phone\contacts to tablet version)
- crash in the contacts
- problems with the keyboard in the floating\split views
Need check
- wi-fi calling - is it possible?
Tips
If you get crash on swith language - just reset keyboard's settings.

I am using ultimate rotation control and manualing changing orientation from its persistant notification setting. I downloaded your suggestion and will try it when i have more time thank you for pointing me in the right direction.:
Woooow downloading right now
edit. its working great except that that i also have some issues with Sim reconizing and connecting.

Only I think UI size a bit upscaled? Can't fix it by settings.
Also has some crashes of Chrome. Windows preview in task manager looks a bit dirty, probably because it's not visible at small phone screen, but easy noticeable at tablet screen.
But aside from that I like this firmware very much, I hope Valera will continue develop this firmware.
I liked get back full S-pen functionality, including possibility to press physical buttons with it.
Here is my flashable zip wich contains some mods for this Rom:
Lockscreen fixed in landscape
Theme Store fixed in landscape
Games Launcher fixed in landscape
And Rom Control.
sim card isn't recognised at all, the signal is unstable and comes and goes..... ;( had to go back to stable stock ;(

Features1. ROM works freely in the standard SELinux Enforcing mode, while not very lagging and most of the ZenUI functions work
2. Added the main features of ZenUI: Asus themes, long screenshots, reassigning navibar buttons, gestures, reassigning the button of the latest applications to the screenshot action, TwinApps, GameGenie, manual and automatic voice recording of a conversation without root, different melodies on SIM cards, separate call volume adjustment and notifications, the ability to set the phone number of a specific SIM card, weather animation on the lock screen, slide shows, and more, see screenshots.
3. Whenever possible, I keep the stock ROM components and code for seamlessly working with our hardware in SELinux Enforcing, so that in some places the AOSP style with familiar with the drain settings will appear (for example, Screen color)
4. Adjusting the vibration intensity for vibration feedback, notifications and ringing tone
5. Made an extended display of system information (processor, amount of RAM on board, driver version, current SELinux status, firmware information, release date, link to my profile, etc.)
6. Added the item “BORETS ROM Settings” to the main settings menu, where you can customize the device a bit: turn on / off the internet connection speed indicator, set the number of rows and columns in the curtain, set the number of tiles in the curtain header, select the weather widget from 3 -h options, switch to the SELinux Permissive mode, if something suddenly does not work and the firmware starts to crash (after all, it’s known that bad Google made changes to SELinux policies that interfered with the operation of fully deodexed firmware, which BORETS ROM is)
7. Something is backporting with ZenUI4.0, namely the weather clock widget on the lock screen with the possibility of its complete shutdown. I consider why the place should disappear, put a weather widget on the desktop, when on the lock screen it doesn’t bother anyone and the weather is available even without unlocking the screen.
8. Advanced reboot menu in a new style, where I added a quick reboot, reboot into recovery and into fastboot mode.
9. Activated SystemUI Tuner, where I added the ability to remove the brightness slider from the curtain
10. Free recording to the memory card even from those programs that do not have an API for this. For example, it is possible through UC Browser to select for download any folder on the memory card and there will be no abuse on the policies of android
11. The Asus engine with the top-end Asus ROG Phone, which is capable of changing the style of not only the main settings menu, but also all of its sub-items (of course, except for those I added)
12. Modified by me ZenUI Launcher(better known as Asus Launcher) version 4.5.3.15 with the ability to select the number of icons in the dock bar, separate adjustment of the grid on the desktop and in the application menu. Note: I do not like Lankers of version 5.x, because they cut out almost all the best that was previously, but you can upgrade directly from the lunch menu
13. Built-in GAPPS from stock 340 ROM, some of the GoogleProg updated to the current versions
14. A lot of Asus programs instead of Google, but I tried so that users had a choice, so I left stock, Google messages, Google phone, Google contacts, etc. along with Asus Lancher, Asus phone, Asus SMS / MMS, etc.
15. Added a dictaphone tile, night mode, as well as a tile to launch the Asus flashlight into the curtain, if you use this application (if the application is not installed, this tile will not be)
16. Priority led notification over charging
17. Added 3G / 4G network mode

This ROM based on stock Oreo ROMs for M1, ZC554KL and ZE620KL
Features
Note: I do not like Asus Launcher version 5.x, because they cut out almost all the best that was previously, but you can upgrade directly from the Launcher menu
13. Built-in GAPPS from stock 340 ROM, some of the Google Apps updated to the current versions
18. Asus Powersave modes
19. Fixed Light sensor work, it working even in dark room after reboot
20. ExFAT r/w support, NTFS support(read only)
Other modifications
How to install:
1. Required unlocked bootloader and TWRP 3.2.3-0
2. Reboot to TWRP
3. Wipe data partition only, NO NEED clean internal partition and another. If installed my previous ROM versions then NO NEED any wipe, enough dirty install
4. Flash ROM, boot phone and wait. ROM have long first boot time because fully deodexed
Bugs/shortcommings:
1. I don’t know why, but after almost every full reboot, the WiFi itself doesn’t turn on, you need to turn it on manually or through settings.
Note: Item 1 is not relevant if you have performed a quick reboot, and not a normal one.
2. Since I have my hands tied as the stock firmware base, I cannot add policies for the operation of some ZenUI functions, for example, changing FlipFont fonts, will work only in SELinux Permissive and not completely.
3. Fast charging is supported, as on the stock ROM, but not displayed, since SystemUI ZenUI-like firmware determines the charging speed not by the remaining time before full charging, but by other parameters that are not in AOSP
4. Lags are possible, especially with a large number of installed programs, to eliminate this, you need to switch SELinux to Permissive and restart the phone (thanks to Google for creating all sorts of obstacles to the normal operation of deodexed firmware, see details in item 6 of the description).
5. In the application from Asus-SMS / MMS, the choice of a melody for the second SIM and problems with MMS does not work. If it is critical, then use the "Messages" from Google, which is included in the firmware package (or another client to your taste)
6. VoLTE mode on SIM2 cannot be disabled

Sir, but ROM already based on stock 340. And this thread about BORETS ROM ZenUI5.0 Edition ROM only but not requests about another ROMs. My specialization is ZenUI styled ROMs and I hate AOSP, MIUI etc User Interface.

No, I not add f2fs support in my kernel. I sceptical about this, f2fs appeared many years ago and if it was really better than ext4 then ext4 died already but still f2fs didn't support Linux by default even. Placebo effect. But, may be, add this format later for joking.
Thanks Borets for the stable ZenUI rom. The previous ZenUI from other Dev BT was not fix. Good choices for the ZenUI Launcher, the updated one, icon resizing option was taken out. Thanks again.

Yes, new Asus Launcher 5.x is bored and terrible where cut many functions which was like many users... therefore I take lastest 4.x version with icon resizing, text size etc and modified it for adding some features: split grid size on home screen and app menu, choose number of dock bar icons etc.

You are just everywhere man. Why are you requesting for some other ROM. In the thread made for zenui based ROM. When you can find oxygen port threads on XDA why are you irritating everyone?
#request , addition of advanced menu in settings where we can customize the rom like battery bar , clock color , recent ram , long pressing back button etc , same as we do get in almost all custom roms.
thanks in advance . best of luck for your work in future and appreciation for this mod.
any feature that you added on your kernel?
