My G3 started to blackout the screen when a call is made and removing the phone from your ear does not turn it back on. It has the quick window cse and if you open and close the small windows allows you to end the call. Any solution?

Confirm your battery is in good condition.. if so then try a factory wipe and see if it was a software bug... If it still happens then it is a hardware bug you will have to replace something

Some cases and screen protectors can mess with the function of the proximity sensor. Are you using either?
You could have dust in the sensor too. Use compressed air into the speaker grill. That usually cleans it out.
The screen protector/case issue mentions above is also a common cause of this issue

I've noticed when I leave my phone idle when going to bed at night and when I wake in the morning that my motion gestures stop working until I unlock the phone a few times with the power button. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this normal or is it a faulty device? I got a screen protector but it's a normal spigen one so I doubt it's that.
Everything work here at least if I don't cover the proximity sensor...
You have to pick the device up. Move it somehow then the motion detectors will work

Oh I see. That's what I do wrong probably. I've always wondered why double tap wasn't working when laying on my desk.
Edit: Well it works but not always. Odd. Thanks though

If it's on your desk naked, rock it gently in either direction, then double tap. It work that way too

I maybe wondered since the phone went into deep sleep maybe it would turn it off to prevent battery usage. I remember picking up device and trying to unlock. I'll try tomorrow again in the morning.

ok waiting for your reply.
That's deep sleep the gestures won't work unless proximity detects movement and if the phone is in deep sleep then sensors are also

Anyone else having issues clicking install when you load a new app? The area on the screen works fine, its only when installing. I rotate the screen from portrait to landscape and back again to fix issue.
I have had this on several devices, but only if an app that overlays something on the screen is running. If you have an auto brightness app rubbing or something like that try shutting it off.

I think I must have disabled something the stock voice recorder is dependent on. I still see an icon but its that default little android icon. I press it and it just throws an error. Any ideas? Anyone have the voice recorder apk? I can't seem to figure out if i disabled something or accidentally deleted it...

Exactly Same situation here. But I ve not frozen anything.
Anybody could help?
Edit: solved reflashing the rooted image. Probably LG backup fault.
Same issue...
Can you upload the priv-app folder containing the voice recorder? I want to see if it will fix it without having to flash sys img again

I'm having the same issue on my Canadian variant H812 and I factory reset the phone and it came back. Then after a few hours the icon became the little Android icon and no longer works.
What's going on?

Go into acsessibility and try turning touch respone to medium or long that helps a lot on some 9
Already did that and still the same. I was wondering if somebody there has the same issue.

I thought mine was extra sensitive too, turns out the screen was the problem and send it back for warranty. Lucky for me they took 2 days for a screen replacement.
Now everything seems fine, and for more, check my profile for my other posts.
