Unable to write data to SD-card - Huawei MediaPad M2

Hi folks,
I've bought the 16gb version hoping that using a micro sd card would resolve storage problems. It has proven to be true to some extent, but...
...I just can't seem to be able to copy data directly from the tablet to my micro sd card, which is extremely annoying due to the fact that I transfer a lot of data on a daily basis.
Is there any way to get it work somehow?
My emui version is 3.1 using android 5.1.1
The device is unrooted.
Thank you in advance!

[Q] Install apps on the sd card without rooting the phone

Hi to All,
After some search, i cound't find a solution to the following problem.
With jelly bean, the management of the external/internal sd card is at least tricky. I would like to install my apps by default on the (larger) external sd card, but without rooting my phone (not to loose orange cinema series, an app from orange france that doesn't work if the telephone is rooted).
I tried various possibilities without success, but i think that the right direction could be swapping the internal and external sd card by using adb or similar. Anybody has a good suggestion? anybody that succeeded?
Best,
Piero
I've been trying to find a non-root apps to external SD solution for weeks - it's not currently possible without root unfortunately. This is the ONE thing that's stopping me buying a 16GB SGNII but, unless the 32/64GB versions are released soon I'm going to have to give up and root a 16

[Q] tab pro can save to some sd cards only

Hi guys.
let me say first that I am aware of whole writing/permission issue with KitKat.
And I am happy to use the build in file manager to copy stuff around.
But as I had some issues with my sd card(files were copied then dissapear etc) I bought Samsung! Sd card Class10 32GB and to this card i am not able to write at all!
I can format, create a folder but that's about it. Not able to copy anything using the 'internal' file manager.
Everything works fine if I can connect the card via OTG.
Any ideas? As i am stacked now with 2 SD cards I cannot use.
And btw with all this write restriction explanations. Why I cannot write to internal card slot only?! If it is OTG I can do anything with any application. Somehow all the explanations I have read do not add up in this part.
Any enlightment highly appreciated.
Cheers

Sounds to me like you bought a counterfeit /fake MicroSDCard , if you purchased it off ebay then chances are it's a fake. the packaging looks identical to real Samsung products and it is very hard to tell the difference.
Do you have a card reader for your pc, you can do a test on it to tell if its fake, there are several programs that can do this but the most popular is H2testw .
Take a look at these threads for more info

The issue you are describing where files just disappear is a telltale sign of these fake or counterfeit cards, usually the cards only have about 2GB of writable space and the rest is bad memory.
Btw on a side note: I have no problems on my tab pro 8.4 , I have every single GB of my Sandisk 64gb sdcard filled. and have no problems with it..

Can't modify anything on my External SD Card

As the title says & I can't even save pictures to my SD card.
I'm running Android 5.0 via Cloudy G3 2.0. I didn't have this issue when I was stock I don't know if the problem is related to Cloudy G3 as I did adb push a file to my phone (moments before I installed the custom rom) and I have read that doing so messes up permissions regarding the SD Card.
I have done a Google search but nothing relevant is coming up regarding Android 5.0
I'd greatly appreciate it if help could be provided, thanks in advance!
I'm having the same issue, but even though I am running Cloudy 1.0 since I am on AT&T, I don't know if its a rom issue since I cant access my External SD card even through recovery. It shows up as if its empty, and it wont let me access it but I can access it through a computer without a problem. I have been having a lot of issues using my Windows 8.1 computer to transfer files and such. I dont know if its compatibility issue freezing up my sd card.
Anyone got any advice?

Try connecting your phone to a computer, transferring all the important stuff to your computer, and formatting the SD card. That's what I did and it's working again.
My phone no longer detects the SD card. I think the problem was with the card itself as I have no issues whatsoever with a different card

Using External Storage as Internal Storage: HTC Desire Eye - Marshmallow

I wanted to "adopt" a SD micro card as internal storage in my HTC Desire Eye running Marshmallow. Not knowing a huge amount about this procedure I bought a 32gb MicroSD HC 10 card which when inserted I was informed it was "too slow" & to use a faster card. I then purchased a 64gb Micro SDXC which has the number 1 in a U shape and also marked 10. Again the phone has indicated that it's too slow to use as internal memory!! Is there any way to force the phone to adopt the card? Or failing that, is it possible to root the phone using 1 Click Root, or is that a bad idea? Thanks
Be thankful that at least you HAVE marshmallow. I'm in the USA and AT&T has the Desire Eye as an exclusive, and those F_U_C_K_ers refuse to update to Marshmallow.

Can't help much with the card thing because I use it as external storage. Don't know much how it works but I fear that if things go wrong and Android installs some core apps in it I'd be screwed. Have you tried formatting it from the phone?
For rooting I just flashed pre-rooted roms. The first time I used windroid toolkit for unlocking and installing twrp and that was pretty much it.
How do we even write on SD Card? I can't access it with file manager, Titanium backup.... can't even download an picture and save it there....

Possible storage expansion?

Hi, I'm new here. So I've had my Galaxy Tab S 8.4 for a year now, and I've got a 64gb micro sd card installed. However, my internal storage is nearly full and moving apps to the card isn't helping the situation at all. I learned that I could use the Android SDK to make the sd card into an adaptable storage option, and I'm having no luck so far. I've got no experience with using the command prompt on my PC and I could really use some advice on how to do this. Thanks!

You need to install the adoptable storage patch first.
