Alarm clock when no alarm is set - LineageOS Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have had this issue since CM13. Though no alarm is set the alarm clock would show in the status bar and below the clock widget.
It is showing to go off at 10 PM and I do not know where this comes from. Anyone with the same issue?

I found the culprit. I had a tasker app installed to put my device into airplane mode at given times. For some reason that app set an alarm which I could neither see nor turn off in the clock widget.
I replaced the auto airplane tasker with another app and the problem is solved. Hope this helps someone else, too.

Do you switch your phone off at night? The alarm doesn't go off of the phone is turned off. If so, use aeroplane mode at night instead and your alarm should work and you won't be disturbed by calls and texts in the night.
Let us know if this works for you.

Do you turn your phone off at night? The alarm doesn't work if you turn the phone off. Try using aeroplane mode instead of turning the phone off, that way you won't be disturbed in the night.
Try it and let us know how you get on.

I'm not certain what you are trying to say here, but if you've been using a task killer and you have not told it to ignore the clock application, you've been killing your own alarms.

Dave
People are still using a task killer?
Add clock app to ignore list
I had the same problem until I added the Clock app to the list of ignored apps in Task Killer. Now, the alarm goes off every morning. And before you ask me why I use TaskKiller, I only use it to kill some games which don't seem to exit no matter what I do.

alarm not ringing

Hello,
I set multiple alarms to wake me up in the morning, but I have noticed that occasionally they will not go off. I am using the default stock clock app.
Has anyone experienced this problem before? Is there a solution to this?
Thanks.

[Q] Alarm didn't ring, clock widget doesn't update in sleep?

I'm using Gentle Alarm and my alarm didn't go off this morning... I have also noticed my clock widget only updates when I activate the screen...could this be connected?

Persistent Alarm Icon

I just got my XL and I had a rogue Android Auto icon in my notification bar. I restarted my phone and it went away, but then an alarm icon appeared that was set for 4:34pm the next day (Friday). I checked the Clock app and verified no alarm was set. I tried setting and deleting an alarm, no luck. I then let it hit the set time. The alarm did not sound, but the icon remained, and is now set for 2:11pm today. Restarting did nothing. I thought I saw this bug in Oreo with my 6T. Anyone have any way to get rid of this alarm icon? I don't think I have any other apps that set alarms. Thank you.
Try deleting all data in clock app
And Auto...
Sorry for the delay. After the 2:11pm alarm passed, it went away. It was weird. Thanks for the suggestions.

Question Alarm clock issue

I have been having a weird issue with my alarm clock widget, Google ambient mode and slide down notification panel. In all three places the alarm clock shows an incorrect value. It displays as it will ring always 40 minutes past the current hour despite I have only one alarm clock set in the morning.
I have had the Global ROM which I have just flashed with European ROM but the issue is still there.
Are you using stock Clock app or a third party alarm app? Make sure battery optimization is set to "don't optimize" and that it has permission to use background data.

I am using a stock one. Perhaps I should add that along with the alarm clock issue I have had another weird issue that the Ebay app had been firing up every hour exactly 40 minutes past the hour - that issue has gone since I reinstalled the firmware.
Ok I figured that out. It turned out the issue was caused by a few tasker profiles. One profile was set to run every hour and the other was set to run every night 23.40. I have temporarily switched the profiles off and now the alarm clock shows the correct values. I am still not sure whether this is an OxygenOS Launcher or Tasker bug?
