I bought the last one i could find for the HD Mini.

Can you post a link to any of the ones you've seen on eBay? I don't see any at all right now... just searched for HTC Gratia.

Don't think I'd buy one of the above.. look, no antennae contacts!
The hd mini must use a different antennae design than the aria.
Here's one from a top rated seller on ebay.
It says it's for the Aria but there aren't any photos of the inside to show the antenae prongs so can't be sure.

Sorry, fail on my part.
I must have gotten this thread confused with another asking about replacing the back cover for a phone that someone recently purchased.
Im looking to replace the battery door on my aria as well. After using for little over a month it seems the oem back has become a little loose and is no longer as rigid as when first purchased. Ideally I'd like to find something carbon fiber with a high modulus of elasticity and shear modulus that is also light weight. I'm looking for functionality over aesthetics; I just want the thing to be stiff as a brick, literal, though the added benifit of a flashy weave would be nice as well. This seems like wishful thinking but if anyone knows of anything along these lines please let me know.

I'd like to find something transparent to show off that awesome ferrari yellow.
Possibility?
The guy at Icy Cell has made a mold of his Evo and
then made several colors of clear cases. My thought
is that if we could get 20-30 people who wanted a
clear back at ~$15 a pop plus shipping it might be worth
his while, know what I mean.
just google Icy Cell....
Hope I didn't break any rules in my post, haven't seen a group buy
on here before but thought this was a perfect opportunity
Of course we'd have to figure out how to make an antenna
This was posted in the General Aria section, but it doesn't specify if the cover includes the antenna or not. I have sent a question to the seller asking and will post back with results.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Battery-cover-H...035756?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item45f704e1ec
I posted this in another thread. but it doesnt look like the antenna is included.
-----------------------------
Dear XXX,
ARIA Battery cover's are to include a built in Antenna and Volume Rocker.
The cover will not work without an antenna, and seems to be an issue with
many of these covers.
Does this cover include an antenna?
-dexmix
-----------------------------
Dear dexmix,
not include.
thanks

Other than a few mentions of the Aria, I'm not sure what your point was with that link... the covers they are talking about are for the EVO.

Well, it does two things.
Firstly, it mentions the Aria a few times, which you already figured out. Secondly, it provides an easy-to-click link for others to see what they were talking about in the previous post about Icy Cell.
When I first read the icy cell post I was thinking "Gee, why didn't he just include the link? After all, this is the first tangible reference we've had to a clear back for the phone, or one of its siblings." It'd be pretty neat if we could convince the icy cell guy to make a clear back for it. I think it's a great idea!
Okay, I see... does anyone know if the EVO has its antenna in the back cover like the Aria does? I'm thinking we are pretty unlikely to see any aftermarket covers for the Aria since it will be too difficult for most companies to manufacture inexpensively.
HTC Aria back cover
i just received a battery cover for my aria from ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Battery-cover-H...ccessories&hash=item45f704e1ec#ht_1676wt_1048
and I can confirm that this does not have the antenna, nor the volume rockers. It also has a few protruding pieces of plastic which prevent the cover from being flush with the phone
in other words, don't bother getting one of these
Hey guys, found this on ebay:
I was originally searching for a custom back cover some of the Google employees got.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Ba...ccessories&hash=item3cbda658d5#ht_2449wt_1180
Seller says its "original" (wtf)
Think its worth it/looks nice?
oh heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell no
Is that the Verizon one?
I need to learn my different models...
Anyway, a 3rd party back plate may be problematic with the tabs. Probably crappier material and I can see the tabs snapping off.
You could always spray paint it yourself...
Galaxy Nexus - 4.0.3 CM9
Asus Transformer - 3.2 Revolver
It's for GSM, I'd like to try it actually, but the price is the same of a case from a reputable manufacturer, to pull or not to pull.''
What makes me curious is why it has white logos, instead of something like gray.(full invert of the real battery cover)
Well the prongs all seem to match up.. who's going to pull the trigger?
my guess with it saying "original" and having logos same shade as the rest of it is that it is an official back cover from samsung... just painted...
I'd like a custom backplate too, but that white does not match AT ALL with the rest of the Gnex.
Why would anyone do that? It looks terrible.

Maybe with certain white cases, it'll match up, shrug.
But given the seller's rating, I'd say it's legit - just seems overpriced for a flimsy piece of plastic.
Because they're original white because there making the the phone in white already is my guess. I would a got it in white

That is OEM and has the Google logo like the grey one and the Samsung logo...looks nice on the White Galaxy Nexus, not so much on the Grey one
You can't see either logo with the light they have, but it's there
it's not original, the original has the serial number engraved at the bottom, whiles this is near the middle on the right hand side, it seems like it was made from the same manufacturer as those metalic silver one that were on sale before in ebay, the connectors were in the wrong place, but this time, the white one has the connectors in the right place, and upto now i haven't hear of any white gnex, so I think why would a white cover surface before the actual phone.
I wont say a white gnex will never be in production in the near future, just that it's strange a cover comes out of nowhere.

A GSM Galaxy Nexus was hard enough to obtain in the states, now we're talking ablut a white version?
Any case/carbon skin combo this would look nice with? Just want to make my device stand out a bit.

I had a metalic cover it had both the google and samsung name, it doesn't fit, the pins are in the wrong place, many members also got the one i purchase, and we all got a refund.

yes they are, but it seems like it was made from the same company, as the engraving of the serial number is in the same place at the middle right, oem ones are at the bottom.
I'm not really into cases, but would you think a certain color of carbon fiber skin would look nice with this battery door?
you can just spray paint it if you want. wont harm anything at all.
Never done this before, I definitely don't want to screw it up and get a bad finish or something.
A white battery door, personally I think would look out of place. Now I'm debating on how difficult the phone actually is to dissect, and hoping to wrap the housing in some sort of white vinyl.

So today I got a package from HTC which was confusing being that I haven't ordered anything... Last time that happened was when I received the free USB type C cable that they sent to all the people who bought the 10... I had heard about that one though before it came so it wasn't a complete surprise, today however, totally unexpected.
I open the padded envelope and inside is a white envelope, with my name on it, then what looks like a black canvas bag, similar to the ones which people use for reusable grocery bags. It is all black and has the "uh oh" logo in bright green. Wrapped up in the bag, a case for the phone! It is a HTC "naked" style phone case, just crystal clear and very well fit. A perfect alternative to my ice view case for when you don't feel like you need the extra protection, like at home. This was like I said totally unexpected which made it that much cooler... I lOve HTC and I am SO GLAD that they did things right this year and pulled out of their slump. Things like this just show why they are such a better company than Samsung when it comes to customer experience. And guess what, along with that already awesome package of goodies, to try to persuade more people to give HTC a try, they also included, in the envelope, a coupon code that you can give to a friend ( or use yourself I imagine if you did it right), for $150 off if they (you) buy a 10.
Hope everyone is receiving their gifts and is as happy as I am about it, considering the company has now sent us two gifts for a purchase which we have already made is pretty unheard of in this category. :good: HTC! Thank you!
Wife & I just got green versions of the TPU case you described (LK).
Wife thinks they're neat. I think they're hideous. Interesting, that.
I am using it currently, however, as 1) it does go with the Halloween theme I'm using and 2) I'm having a hard time finding a case I like. (I returned the Incipio Octane and Spigen Slim Armour cases).
We are really liking this phone...which is really hard to put a case on since it looks and feels nice by itself...especially the red one.
How do I go by getting the case from htc, do I have to sign up?
I bought mine directly from HTC but I have never gotten any extra gifts. How do I get on that list?!
Can someone post a picture of the case?

Seems like only those in the US( and possibly only those who pre-ordered) got the free gifts.

I got the extra USB C cable for pre-ordering, but the bag / case came after I joined HTC Perks.

Mod Edit
Looks cool. I really like the modular design idea... I can easily see that being the future of cases.

Yes I agree
Bought it also. Not bad, but bulkier than the regular ice view, and the cover detaches much too easily in my opinion. And, no big deal, but the colors don't match my red 10 one bit...
The cover detached what do you mean you can remove the front cover and keep the back shell. Do you prefer original
Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
I mean the front cover goes off with no effort, it's too easy to remove from the shell. I don't feel too confident in it.
ah ok
im looking for a case... thinking spigen transparent currently have incipio octane but think its too heavy
The Diztronic is as perfect as it gets IMHO.

I just noticed this on htc.com today- I hadn't seen it before. Two things:
HTC needs to make their cases more known to the customer. HTC should include a case when purchasing the 10, or at least put a small insert in the box so the customer is aware they even exist!
Secondly, this case is very interesting. I would like to see other innovative attachments. I'm not sure what they would be right off. I don't personally need or use a stand other than when I'm at work at work for my desk. I would like to hear others' ideas for additional modules.
Interesting fact. I ordered this from Amazon, but before I received it, someone else also bought it for me, as a gift. The one I got as a gift works perfectly.
Today I got the one from Amazon, which I opened because I was planning on selling it to someone else, since I don't need two cases.
But this Klik case does not work properly, in the sense that the Ice View interface does not show up. It does light up the display and turn off, when you uncover/cover the display, but the double tap to wake does not work. I'll be returning the case to Amazon.
Has anyone else had issues with the IceView / Klik case?
Very weird. The only element that triggers the ice view interface and what goes along with it is the magnet in the round badge. It should work just the same, no matter which magnet sits on the screen... It even works with a fridge magnet.
Is this case light weight
Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
I weights about 45 grams, just like the first Ice View. Not the lightest around, but nothing dramatic.
i might just keep my phonenaked for now
shame no stores have the ice view to look at. how useful is the ice view notificaitosn
Has anyone found a case other than the included one that works on the Bold N1. This included case won't last long and I would like something a little more protective..
It seems that finally some protective cases for the new BOLD-N1 cellphones are starting to appear on Amazon/USA!

I'd be a little careful buying these - the pictures don't look like the N1 at all. Blu Vivo maybe?
Thanks for your advice!
I contacted the seller of these cases that apparently are for BOLD-N1, but I could not get them to send me some photos of these cases, to check if they were for the Bold-N1 and also if they were of good quality or not.
I also discovered, seeing some photos on Amazon (of the same case, but for another cellphone model), that unfortunately these cases come in two parts (a flat back and a side edge), which causes them to disassemble alone and not adequately protect the phone:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VDG42PS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AEBRMS661YQSQ&psc=1
To top it all, these cases are sent from China and it would take several weeks to reach the US.
For all the above, I decided not to order this case, as it does not seem to be a good quality product.
