Sounds like a bad download, or you ran out of free space...
Did you download gapps specially for 7.1?
Maybe check the specs again, for the gapps version you are downloadning...

plenty of free space
gapps 7.1 arm aroma 20170219
lineage 14.1 20170213(running it at the moment , without gapps)
galaxy s5 klte g900m
on phone status version number says
14.1-20170213-nightly-klte
, already flashed original rom, backed it up, reinstalled lineage and nothing,
after some research will try using this gapps:
https://github.com/opengapps/arm/releases/download/20170115/open_gapps-arm-7.1-nano-20170115.zip
--SOLUTION FOUND--
as i said earlier, i tried using arm nano from 1/15 , it worked, got play store now .
--news--
when installed supersu and its updates, wifi lose its mac adress(stopped working)
By seeing this post I can say your system storage is less and when you tried to install nano it got installed because it is less in term of size, so it got installed.

about supersu ??... couldnt install it or i would lose wifi, currently unrooted.
It's missing awk in recovery due to the busybox->toybox switch. OpenGapps uses awk to get the free space on /system. Use TWRP instead.

idk what 'free space' is this you guys keep refeering to.
but i wipe it all before hand, the only thing on internal store is nothing, and on microsd is the backup of the stock os that i flashed when lineageos crashed on me

The space you run out of is space dedicated to SYSTEM, which i very much doubt is 9gb.

It does not free up space - you just have to work with space you have. Are you saying that even the smallest gapps package did not work for you?
You could try wiping system/cache/dalvik, flash ROM, gapps, reboot.

I personally have had great luck with using gapps-config with opengapps. Like Aroma, it allows you to install only what you want.

Hey,
I am a noob so kindly forgive me if I am doing something wrong.
I followed the instructions at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1813077&page=68 and http://androidforums.com/wildfire-s-all-things-root/480954-guide-how-root-wildfire-s-s-finally.html to finally get CM10 installed on my Wildfire S (Marvel).
But... I am having a problem, whatever I do G-Apps is not showing after I flash it.
Basically, I go to CWM and install from SD card then restart, it says "updating 75 apps" (or something like that, cant remember the exact text) then when it starts... I cannot find gmail and all the other goodies.
Do I have to clear / delete / reinstall something or do something after this?
Please help!
Thanks in advance

As far as I can guess you flashed Gapps lite version... That just bundles with playstore. You need to download other stuff from the playstore itself.

Thanks for replying!
But I dont even see playstore there
How can I delete the present installation completely and then reinstall from step zero?
Or can you recommend a good (as much bugs free) ICS rom which has no problem with gapps?
Thanks!

I never heard about this problem earlier. But here's a step by step guide to install it. Double check it. Also I recommend CM9 coz I guess you are new to custom roms and its wayy less buggy and will save you from frustration.
In recovery:
1. Wipe data/factory reset.
2. wipe davlik cache.
3. install zip from sd. (Install ROM)
4. Install zip from sd (Install G-apps package)
5. Reboot.
7. If everything goes well you'll see one time startup asking for your google id and all that stuff.
8. when it's fully booted install whatever you are using to incease memory like data 2 sd scripts or link2sd.
9. reboot.
You're done.

I went back to my backed up stock, but this time I used TB to remove some of the bloatware and it's good.
I am giving this mobile to my mom so I wanted it working good, but for her limited uses I think the stock htc room should be good and simple to use.
Will look into link2sd, never used it before.
Cheers and thanks again!

I would check it for you but it's not possible now since I went back to stock HTC (2.3) from backup and just removed some of the bloatware before giving it to my mom as I think she would find JB a little confusing compared to HTC's skin.
I guess thats best...

Why can't I install ROMS anymore. I never had a problem installing them. I did a nandroid and tried to install:
Blazer Rom - Jellybean edition: Goes to black screen. I read that you need to reboot a few times after the first install to work but I rebooted about 10+ times with no luck.
Jellybomb 8.0 & 9.0 - Most luck I've had, it goes to "Updating Applications" before going into the ROM but gets stuck.
"Goodness" - installed the JB LJ7 Modem Firmware as described in the installation instruction and then the rom and it goes to a black screen
I am using TWRP which might be the problem? Never had a problem with the non-touch screen version before, but it keeps telling me after I install ROM's that No OS is available and am I sure I want to reboot.
Luckily I can restore my nandroid and go back to this outdated version of Blazer
See how much free space u have on ur phone or SD card.. I had a issue awhile back, where no rom would install.. I kept failing or coming back corrupt.. I noticed that I bearly had any free space.. I free'd up about a gig or so.. and everything worked perfect after that..

Sounds like you have corrupted downloads, have you verified the MD5 Sum of the downloaded files. I would also recommend downloading them on your computer, and then transferring them over to your device.

Well I think I figured it out. Looks like TWRP was a bad/wrong version. I installed the newest one and Jellybomb appears to be working now. Thanks for the assistance
Today I installed the actual version (from 28th of February) of CM 10.2 brought to us by Rox.
I installed the I8160P version.
After that I get this error message after every reboot: "TeamCanjica-OTACenter has stopped"
I cleared the cache befor installing the new version of 10.2. Before that I used 10.2 from 4th of January.
That does this error message mean? What is the problem? How can I get rid of it?
Give me logcat i will do my best

Thanks for your great work, Rox!
Additional Info:
I startet the app TeamCanjica-OTACenter manually and allowed permanent superuser for it.
In the tab "Updater" I find the error message in red: Cannot read TeamCanjicaOTA properties.
Following the hints in the main development thread I looked up the string "teamcanjica.ota.version=1.0" in build.prop. It does exist.
i got same problems.

hi guys.. sorry i was kinda late for this, I just flashed cm10.2 and im getting the same error.. so the only solution is to remove the app? so how are we goin to update or know if there is an update in our cm10.2 if ever?
and I dont wanna create new thread about this so im just goin to ask it here,
C10.2
cm-10.2-20140227-UNOFFICIAL-codina.zip
gapps
CM10.2.x - 4.3.0 - 20130813
this where the one i flashed on my ace 2. my question is, will there be a problem if I flash the wrong gapps? for example i flashed CM10.2 and then used the gapps for CM10.1?
2nd question is gapps - stands for google apps? if it is does it mean it gapps are optional? if i dont flash the gapps there wont be any apps installed? like a clean format right? cos all the pre-installed apps in CM10.2 are downloadable at playstore right?

ohh another question, if ever there's been an update in that thread, I just need to flash the new update like what I did when I 1st installed my CM10,2 right?
I mean I have to flash the CM10.2(neew update) and the gapps again?
and flashing means i need to backup all my data coz it'll get erased?
correct me if Im wrong..
I also noticed the performance menu in system settings although i haven't change anything in it yet, I just wanna ask a link for a thread if there is where I can study what's governor, I/O scheduler etc? sorry I'm not really familiar with this forum yet..
and thanks again you've been very helpful :good:

Wipe the cache dont work. Instalation starting but within several seconds fail ( and information about the size of a partition). extension of the partition will be useful for other mods, so another room does not solve the problem.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Help! Thanks in advance.

you have to flash the gapps in the OP or the system fills and there will not be any of the "GAPPS" also the core gapps package is only the needed files for google play because that is what fits on /system, I could put the other stuff in /data but its a waste because you can get the apps from google play

Been having the same problem. I did some investigating, and here are some observations:
The particular ROM I flashed (given the timing, probably the same one you did) took up ~240 MB in the /system partition, which was ~250 MB large, leaving 10MB remaining.
The Gapps I attempted to flash was ~15 MB, meaning that it diddn't fit. However this did not throw an error, but reported a successful completion.
Given the above, I flashed CM11, then deleted some of the larger things that diddn't look importiant. (Turns out it was emoji icons and the keyboard). This actually worked, since there was now enough space in the /system partition for gapps to copy everything over. Unfortunately, there was no keyboard.
Simply put, /system isn't large enough. My question now is if its possible to combine /system and /datadata (or whatever's using mtdblk6, seems to be ~150 MB), then move /datadata to the internal sd card, where there's lots of free space.
I'm still too new to androind stuff to know how to apprach this, but I come from a linux background so even just a pointer to the right direction would be helpful.
Not sure if mtdblk can be repartitioned but it's worth a shot on my Inc since I won't worry much if I brick it. I think partitioning that would make sense. I know there's mtdblk4 and mtdblk5 that'd have to be deleted in order to make mtdblk3 larger. 5 is cache but I think the cache in mmcblk0 is used instead. Not sure what 4 is for.

Unfortunately I don't know if that will happen. The resizing of mtd partitions isn't as simple as resizing mmc. So we probably will be stuck as is unless we resize and repurpose the emmc partition. I think I started a project to do just that.
