Can some one please upload the igo app program from joying and gps maps for tf card. Joying is taking for ever to send the maps.
I have purchased iGO Navigation app, but when I trying to copy over from file explorer, it's unable to ycopy the whole files, seems like some files are encrypted already.
If someone can teach me how to extract files from phone, then I can upload it.

I have the files now. But when I open the app the app uneexpectedly closes. Do i have to have all usa and Canada files in maps folder? When I put only cali in this happens.
You should install new igo app in the internal memory of the device, not in the sd card.

Hi,
Is it possible to place the TOM-TOM map to SD card? (have more free memory to running programs)
yes, of course. Just locate the tomtom map folder and move it to the root of your storage card. normaly TomTom map folder would be named like this (Example) :
Australia
or
France
or
Germany
etc, etc.
You will have to navigate to switch map in TomTom settings and set new map location as default.
Thnx
Thank you! It is working!
Hi,
To save more space, you can even compress the exe file with upx4ppc. I did it and it works fine.

I dont think I have the same storage card issue as the users who occassionaly lose their maps. I cant even get TomTom to see the maps after install, I can view the maps directly from file explorer and all the contents seem fine. I have also tried formating the card to FAT however this does not help. Can someone post their 'currentmap.dat' file so I can see the structure please? I am using TomTom6, thanks.
You might try this: make a folder called 2577 in the root of your sdcard. Inside that folder you add an empty file called autorun.exe. I realise that this might sound strange. So, just make a file with any editor, save it and rename it to autorun.exe. That should work.
That worked a charm, thanks!
i delete config file in tomtom and it is working again
I just installed Tomtom 6.02-7910 on my Artemis. I have installed the program itself on the device and the maps on the storagecard in a map called TomTom.
This ain't working. I already found the following:
6.02 wants the maps in My Documents so you have to move the maps to a new folder \Storage Card\My Documents.
And you have to modify the registry key 'My Documents' in 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Explorer\Shell Folders'
and name it \Storage Card\My Documents.
Now I have downloaded a program called Mobile Registry Editor. When I'm looking in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Explorer\Shell Folders I do not see a registry key called 'My Documents'.
Can anyobody tell me what is meant with the instruction written above? I also have Total Commander. So a work around with Total Commander is also fine by me (if I understood correctly, editing the registry is also possible with Total Commander)
Your first mistake may be placing the map folders inside another folder on the storage card. Mine (v. 6.02) works with the maps in folders located in the root directory of the storage card. For example, I am using the North America map and it resides in a folder called "North_America-Map" in the root of my card. The extra level of folders you have may be hiding the map from tomtom's view.
Anyway, registry editing should not be necessary for you to get tomtom to work. That's way to many hoops to jump through for a top sat nav program!!
If you need any other help (if this works for you) feel free to PM me. I'll be glad to help any way I can.
There is already a 6.03 update released. Read it on a navigation forum.
Maybe a stupid question but where can I find this navigation forum????
edit:
Ow you said "a" navigation forum.
Already found it. Thnx!

Well I did that. I renamed the folder "Western_Europe-Map" but that ain't working. An older version of TomTom works the way I did (with the map TomTom) but this version doesn't.
So I think if I want it to work with 6.02-7910 I need to do the register editing.
edit:
Installed TomTom 6.03 Everything went well, until I had to register the TomTom map. Well now I'm back to an older version. 6.01 I think.
Okay so I got TomTom Navigator 7 and a UK&Ireland map. I've installed TomTom on my MicroSD card and it opens, now it says there are no maps. Where do I put all the map files? I've googled and can't find a solution.
So far I've tried the root,
SD\Program Files\Navigator
and
SD\Program Files\Navigator\maps
Also I'm getting the BTTrayCE error thing, I've searched for the DLL's on my device to rename them but I can't find them -.-
And finally, I've heard about a lag in the app, how can it be fixed? I found a link but lost it -.-
Thanks

folder with any name on root
pna file is defining name and there you can find a version number too
(\storage card\UK&Ireland\<files> OR \storage card\map1\<files>)
for raster, voices, postcodes they can be on root or in PF folder

\windows\BtCoreIf.dll
\windows\BtSdkCE30.dll
just delete them. they replacing rom files with the same name but 5 years newer verions of broadband bluetooth driver
by deleting, original ROM files will reappear
you can't see them because file browser is not showing them.
There should be about 7000 files in \windows folder
(hidden,rom,system attributes)
you need different file browser. total commander is free and cool
another option:
2 files is the whole application, no regs.
backup those to SD card, copy shortcut file from \windows\start menu\programs,
uninstall TT
and copy them back
tomtom navigator.exe
data.chk
And finally, I've heard about a lag in the app

sorry, i didn't. can't help. just don't run it from SD and if you can install it on fresh ROM or burn to rom so they'll not be fragmented. and don't keep to many POI switched ON
but I heard about that it likes to crash in rhodo and mine is like hell.
still trying to figure that out, it's not crashing when I m not moving. could be I had wrong sett for gps.
I need to know the file structure where the map data is stored. I manually download the map data but don't know where to put it?
Nobody knows?
The folder to put in the downloaded maps is hidden
/Android/data/com.here.app.maps/files/.here-maps
I copied it into this path, and it's working.
Also I downloaded the voices and transfered it to my radio

I downloaded the maps on my mobile phone and transfered it via USB stick into the internal storage of the radio. Works perfectly

U need 2 install "here we go" on a smartphone/tablet and download the maps at that device.
Afterwards u can extract the files in the posted directory. and paste them into ur headunit
cheers
Do you know where are the voices/audio downloaded ? I'd like to retrieve them as well. Its most probably on my sd card since I chose that option but can't manage to find them.. Many thanks !! Mat

Does it created you two folder, one "com.here.app.maps" and an other "com.here.app.maps 1"?
