Hi,
I need to use my tablet for some Google Cardboard apps. I'm building a large VR viewer. But there's an issue, since i updated the accelerometer is very laggy on the Cardboard app. Its unusuably slow. I'm not sure if it was like this before I updated to b202 from stock android. I'm in the process of reverting to Android 5.1.1 to see if this fixes the issue, will report back.
In the mean time, anyone have any issues with the accelerometer on the m2? Have people used it for gaming and so on? Temple run for example...?

Has anyone noticed that the phone runs slower in landscape mode. I'm not taking about rotation which works fine with a custom ROM, but it seems like the phone is twice as slow when rendering and input lag.
Open WhatsApp or maps(really any app) and look at the frame rate and how laggy the input is when scrolling. Then go to landscape mode and and do the same thing; it's way slower. I've noticed with every version and ROM that I've installed. I've searched around and found nothing about this so I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. It seems like an ICS issue that google will need to fix because there should be no different between the two modes.
I think this is the same problem with the keyboard being a little slower in landscape.
I have noticed a small hinderance of performance in landscape mode, but not across the board nor in every app. Google Music works perfectly for me in landscape mode. I am running GummyNex with Imo's kernel so maybe it got tuned differently.
I have noticed this in the Nova launcher too. Really annoying.
Has there been any progress on it?
Hi,
It's a bit old,but maybe an advice...:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1546552
There are also other threads about that.
Kernel and other factors can help...
Hey folks,
has anyone of you found out how to use the OP3 with Google Cardboard apps, YouTube 360° Videos or other VR apps?
The moment i enter a VR mode in any of the apps or YouTube 360°, the OP3 doesn't react to any movements (which is the sense of VR) any more. So looking around isn't working, mostly the apps even don't start and are stuck one the initial screen. In YouTube 360° videos i can only look straightforward, a look left or right is impossible.
I'm on the latest stock OTA 3.2.0 version of OxygenOS. Nothing else changed, no root or other modifications.
Regards,
Mika
Oookay, this was a software issue. I just restarted the OP3 once, and everything is fine and working like expected. God knows why ...
I want to ask you for help with vr games issue. Now I tried download and play some vr games, if is game launched game works about 1 sec, after that is issue with rotation of screen. Rotation to left/right works fine, but if the phone turns up, the screen is turned down ( upside down issue). Here is video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30WeGJx2g4E&feature=em-upload_owner . I use LeTV x800 with cyanogenmod 12.1 BetaHydriV42 dated 2016 09 21. The problem described I have with playing all vr games. I tried to reflash to new stock ROM without malware with same result. Here is also video with tests of gyro and accelerometer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1Exo7d9zK4&feature=em-upload_owner . Gyro test shows this issue, like is smartphone on screen. My girlfriend has same mobile, all vr games work perfectly. She has same cyanogenmod rom like me. In first video link you can see also like is screen drift back to the center position, after rotation.
I tried to play with VR glasses bobovr z4, I had the same problem
Thank you for reply
Hey!
I tried to watch some VR Videos with my Honor 7x. 360° on YT is fine, but as soon as I enter VR mode by clicking on the cardboard button I can't look around anymore or it just works veeeeery slow, like I am turning my head in super slow motion but I don't. Also tried different apps for viewing VR content, it's all the same. Anybody with the same experiences and a solution for this problem?
Thank you

I too have the same problem YouTube VR videos run smoothly but viewing 360 degree photos in Google Photos using VR mode doesn't work well, it almost doesn't move when I move my device. It is most probably a problem with the Gyroscope as it was disabled before but was enabled after a software update.

experiencing this since Nougat... hoped that the Oreo update fixes this problem but nothing changed. So you think its a software issue?
Does nobody have a solution for this? The gyroscope for VR usage was the thing that made be choose the Honor 7x over the Huawei Mate 10 Lite, so I really would like to get it to work
I have this problem too, gyro is crazy .. slow or not moving at all, unusable for vr things..
Any solutions?
Did anyone find a solution to this because i just bought my phone and i NEED the gyro to complete a project i was working on for a long time.
Any updates from anyone?
The gyroscope in my honor 7x is tooo slow when compared to other phones....i use gyroscope while playing pubg.... does any 1 know how to make it fast....?
Google Lens is "compatible" on Tab S4 (WiFi, SM-T830) but the Google app (Lens is included in this app) crashes all the time. That is my problem.
When I want open Google Lens over different ways, Google Lens crashes. I tried to open it in Google Photos and with the Lens Launcher app from the Play Store. Sometimes Google Lens re-launches after the crash in Google Photos and it works.
Google Lens is available in my country and it works on my OnePlus. I am also logged in. That's not the reason for the crash.
I also tried different versions of the Google app and I also resetted my Galaxy Tab S4. The issue is present since the start and the update to Pie didn't solve it.
The answer of the Samsung support was: please contact Google.
Does anyone have an idea to fix the issue or to get the reason for it?
I would suggest to reflash the whole system.
I am not interested to root the tablet or install a custom rom.
the same problem after update pie9 on T830 - the application closes continuously - crashes...
(on my op5 oos 9.0.5 works very well without problem )
