I have problem with GPS when using stock rom, so I decided to flash custom rom. Thank you, but I don't think stock rom is better than the custom rom
And you think GPS will work better on a custom rom ?
Try CM7.2 if you want so much a custom rom
Yes, I think so
Use 7.2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1381355
It's fast and stable.
Maybe your GPS working good. You should check its work in the open area. Not in the flat.
Use CM7.2. It's stable and fast, improves your battery life and so on.
If you want a ROM based on stock rom I would recommend GioPro 1.4
hi
i tried the cm7.2 and was a excellent ROM and the GPS pick up in seconds
but now i´m trying the cm9 lol xD
Before you go trying custom ROM's, make absolutely certain that your phone is a GT-S5660. If you've got the "other Gio", you're in for a suprise. Cause all the custom roms on this site probably won't work on it.

I have "the other" Gio and CM9 Beta 1 works fine. "Probably" you should try the ROM first before saying it won't work. The only difference between the GT-S5660 and the GT-S5660M is the radio. Mine appears to connect fine on Fido and finds Bell/Telus networks so it doesn't look like flashing a custom ROM had any impact on the radio. In the past I have flashed the wrong baseband on a number of phones and sticks and the fix usually is to just reflash the original.
Use CM 7.2! In 7.2 there's many more features worth looking
Definitely the best Custom ROM out there for both performance and looks (with appropriate theme of course)
CM 7.2 is the best so far.
well, Cm72 is the best ever, but if you see yourself a noob.. use cyanoobs

[Poll] Is it worth to change the stock rom to kitkat?

Hi.I have successfully converted my phone to e975 from f180l and I want your opinion on flashing a kitkat rom(doesn't matter which one,I mean in general) People who are using a kitkat rom,is it better than the stock one?
or shall I wait until the official kitkat update from lg(official kdz I mean if that's gonna happen)?
its your choice if to upgrade or not.... stock rom or stock modded are best for battery life......if you bother about about battery life..you can flash any 4.4 roms.. ..
I vote yes. simply because i love trying something new. and having many choices are good.
then test all roms u can find
u can tly miui, my fav. but its 4.1 try!!
by kk u have many roms here! its ur play and our playground, so test what u can dont forget nandroid backup!

I had another phone where I flashed a new rom every week and I don't want to keep doing so on this device I want to install a rom and keep it for a log period of time) forn now I like the stock one,but I know too that kk is lighter in terms of ram(if I'm not wrong) and it has more options and bigger customisation possibilities, but I don't want to meet new problems, like worse battery life, problems with the kernel, random fcs and so on)

Well atm I'm switching between cm11 and miui, it's nice to have two backups I can just switch between and I have my most needed stuff. For me this works just as Good as only having 1. But yeah, I don't like stock tom, and you can get good battery life with other 4.4 Roms, so dont worry about that. Go ahead and try it out, there's nothing to lose .

Stock is still the best IMHO whenever I use CM something is always missing or broken.
But what do we actually get from 4.1 to 4.4(if stock)?? Whats the big difference for ordinary user?
Like Win XP vs Win 7 vs Win 8. Of course we have to update to Win 7 to take advantage of DX11 but I don't think we have to update to Win 8 for a reason that its NEW, Just like what happen to Kitkat its new but for what? Maybe thats the reason why LG doesnt bother much to update because most of the apps/games only require you to install 2.3 and up
I have recently installed kitkat 4.4 cm11 and and I am having force close problems (not many) but still it restarts the device and lockscreen becomes unresponsive
So yes it is problematic but it is way way better than stock in terms of RAM usage and response
I am searching for a stabler ROM if you have know such stable kk ROM do tell

should I flash lollipop custom rom

I just need some opinions
I am experienced in flashing roms.. This is not my concern... I really need this device as a daily driver therefore I need to know:
How is the cm12 camera do I get good shots? Is it still buggy in all custom roms or can I use another camera app that is working
Do you have problems with battery life because I am enjoying the battery life of my z1c
What do you think And can you suggest me a rom?
Thanks a lot!!!!

Well, up to you
Read all threads of LP roms and decide...
For me, I'll stay with KK, as there is still no Xposed Framework for LP...

I prefer Custom, Stock rom consume more space & battery but in custom u can do what ever you want i.e. removing bolt, themes, partition, and lot more.

u have used both stock as well as custom roms! so i think u know the difference between both types featurewise!
on one side u have 4.2.2 with lots of bloatwares and features that u might never use and on other side u have 4.4.X/5.0.2 with no bloats and ability to have ur own sets of features(as far as the hardware permits)!
so weigh ur options!!
Better go with custom ROM as they are a lot lot more stable than any stock ROM and main thing they doesnt hang like samsung ui samsung ui slows down ur pone to great and newer versions of android actually improves ur phone speed so whats loss in custom rom....

custom roms specially AOSP based due to low/ no bloatware and better perfomance

first time flashing a ROM and i can't decide

Hello i hope everyone is having a good day
i bought an LG G3 D850 few months ago it's running on Lollipop
I rooted it and installed TWRP costume recovory only thing left from what i understood is downloading the zip file and flash it . (let me know if i skiped a step )
only problems is that i can't chose which rom to flash .
i want a rom that provides best battery life for texting , i usually get 3.5 h to 4h SOT while texting with WIFI . 3h SOT while texting with 3g and browsing facebook .
i don't care much about performance in gaming because i don't play much games only need a rom with decent camera quality and can provide better SOT while texting like 6h or 5h or something if that's possible (seen someone on youtube saying u can get 6h sot texting with fulmics rom ) .
big thanks in advance..

I don't flash roms very often but currently I'm on Viper OS on my G3. Battery seems pretty good, atleast better than on any stock rom I tried

It's best stock for battery. For battery customisation you can tweak with different kernels.
For custom ROM.. you can try resurrection its pretty good.

so the best thing to do is installing fulmics then search for karnel tweaks ?
I recommend "CleanROM" - its debloated stock rom with xceed kernel.

Just keep in mind that CleanROM is specifically labeled for D855 only. The OP has D850. It may work, I have no idea. But there is a lot of stories of people screwing up their phones by flashing incompatible ROMs...

First step is to flash fulmics. Kernel tweaking comes later if you are not satisfied with the stock kernel.
