Wanted: Tmobile Note 2 with JB. - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

If this post should not be here, I apologize. I am at wits end trying to find what I want.
I want a Samsung Galaxy Note or Note 2 for T-Mobile that has NOT been updated. Still has Jelly Bean.
dlw

Check out swappa for a used phone that has what you need.

From the Moderator: please post inquires in the Q&A section
To make a phone flashed back to Jelly bean ......... you need the pit files
Also there are 3 big frame work changes that happened. if I remember correctly they were 4.2 to 4.3 the 5.0 change and finally 6.0
The pit file would allow you to remap the framework and this allows you to reflash to the older version.
So if you could find the pit files for Jelly Bean, the 2 (maybe need all kit kat versions) and the lollipop plus the actual original Tar versions of the roms you are good to go.

New T-Mo firmware T989UVLI4

So as I was browsing around the interwebs, I decided to check Sammobile to see if there were any new firmwares.
Turns out T-Mo released a new rom this month (no idea when because I dont check daily) and I would assume its Jellybean.
Here is the Hotfile link they sent me to and I'm downloading it right now.
Its not jellybean, its 4.0.4

Crap, okay....
Mods, you can delete this thread
The improvements are: "Qualcomm fix, Security enhancements, Vlingo S Voice improvements."
I have a stock T989 with the LI1 firmware... it's ICS 4.0.4. The new LI4 version is... ?
I haven't updated because I don't trust that it will be stable yet. I'm getting 36 hours of battery life (with plenty of use!) out of LI1 right now. I don't want it to get all fubar'd again.
samsung galaxy s2 Tmobile

4.1.2 Sprint leak

4.1.2 Sprint leak
Here you can download it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37309956
Seems like multiview is not included, but 4.1.2 should be smoother than 4.1.1 (at least it was so on my other device).
Unfortunately until monday i can't work on it, otherwise my girlfriend will kill me... so if someone other wants to start porting it will be good.
@Do not flash the rom linked above: it is for Sprint phones.
I posted it because devs can use 4.1.2 base for a proper port.

I really can't believe you just got my hopes up, here.
I had ODIN open and ready for flashing until I saw your disclaimer for sprint.
I have been busy flashing everyone else's i9300/i9305 units this week, yet I eagerly await something new for my i747
The Verizon 4.1.2 leak is also here but in CWM flashable format (easier to pull files from than a factory image) and already deodexed. It has a few new things I want to pull for use with my ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2133235
Standard Disclaimer: DO NOT FLASH ON YOUR AT&T GALAXY S III OR YOU WILL BRICK

Has anybody been able to get the Netgear Push2TV PTV3000 working on any rom?

I can confirm it does not work on CleanRom ACE 5.0. Since the Note 2 is an officially supported device, I would really appreciate it if someone could post a link to a rooted version of the most up-to-date stock rom for ATT.

The most up to date stock rom is the official 4.1.2. There is a leak of 4.3 stock rom out as well. The 4.3 att mj4 leak is in the general section under design gears thread mj4 post 226 one click. This is stock but you will need to root it and it will erase all data to flash.

I have tried to flash several 4.3 roms with the newest version of TWRP

I haven't had any success. I am afraid to take a chance on a pure stock rock. I suspect I would lose root. I don't want to go through all that again. I will just ship the ptv3000 back. It doesn't work well with my Nexus 7 2013 either. It won't pass thru dts audio and has black bars on the top, bottom and both sides.

I know it doesn't help right now but it seems Chromecast is what you will be needing.

[Q] Looking to try out kitkat :D

Hey all im looking at manually updating to kitkat and my problem is im not sure how tricky that will be as my last run in with odin was a bad one..
well not odin, but 3 months after rooting my first note 2 it died from sds. Samsung replaced it which took forever - my original one was a french model. The replacement i now have is the hong kong one.
GT-N7100
And. V: 4.3
CSC: N7100ZSENE1
PDA: N7100ZSUENE1
I know its most recent version is 4.3, but seeing friends with n7105's and kit kat is just driving me nuts!
Anyywhoo upgrading to 4.4.2--
Will it be a straightforward procedure?
And am i likely to have problems with KitKat and my particular model?
Pros cons?
Sorry for being noobish >.<

Since you are already on 4.3 you cannot go back to 4.1.2 cause of being on the Knoxed bootloader which makes downgrading impossible (only 4.2.2 is possible).Well you got few choices when it comes to trying out 4.4 either you can flash stock ROM which is rolling out slowly to many countries or you can try the custom KK. So root your 4.3 if you don't want to upgrade to stock 4.4 and then flash any one of the custom 4.4 which comes in variety of flavours such as stock note 2 KK , note 2 and note 3 featured ROM or S5/note3/note2 featured ROM.You would have to try few custom ROM to see which best suits you.No one will be able to tell you which ROM is best since each custom ROM offers different tweaks.
To download stock ROM head over in General Note II section and there's a download link for FNE1 KK French version uploaded to mega.co.nz by an user called "robalm" .Download the zip file , extract it , you'll get the .tar.md5 , put the phone in download mode and place that extracted file into AP/PDA Mode of odin and sit back and let it do it's thing.

One word. Brilliant
Thanks bro
Hi, any hints to root this N7100ZSUENE1? I've tried Saferoot and CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100 with no luck..
Thanks and cheers,

New note 4 owner in need of some guidance..

Hey guys! So i now have a sprint note 4. Looking for a touchwhiz rom, prefer 6.0.1, with theme options, bluetooth, and air command. Any suggestions? Currently on stock rooted pg1, and if i coukd change the theme of my slide down tray, i woukd be satisfied, but the lack of theme options are killing me. Thanks for any info in advance!
If you only want to use "themes" option (which means that you prefer to be on "Stockish based" ROM), then I would suggest you 2 ways:
1. You can flash Dr. Ketan's Galaxy S7 Ported ROM (I have created a thread for it here). It has all the new features along with the Note capability of S-Pen.
It would require you to first downgrade to OK1 boot-loader & modem.
2. If you don't want to downgrade the boot-loader & modem, then you can try Galaxy Note 7 Ported ROM (I have created a thread for it too). However, if you are on Sprint network, It might not work for you as it is meant for users of unlocked N910P variant on GSM network.
Select as per your choice...
Else wait for some time. @carlosggb will soon be releasing a new version of his ROM that might have theme support baked in.

Full stock tar includes the bootloader and baseband.
The bootloader and baseband thread has its own purpose. Depends on what you're doing. Personally, I try to avoid those ROMs that require a different bootloader for data but may use the bootloader to revert back to an older TWRP backup. Not so much lately though.
I've been happy with Marshmallow and Wanam unofficial Xposed. PG1 has been the best on battery and fixed a Wi-Fi Calling issue for me.
But if tx_dbs_tx figures out that Note7 port with MM bootloader and kernel on latest update, I'll be all over that!
