Relocking your bootloader then reset factory will be the best way.

Hello all,
I have a stock HTC One X that keeps rebooting.
I am attaching a a picture of the screen that comes up with the three androids starts with ***LOCKED***
Can anyone pls help ? and how can I prevent this from happening ?
I had bought the app 'TASKER', could this have caused it.
Thanks
Do a factory reset, otherwise send it for warranty
Tried factory reset from the ***LOCKED*** screen

Hi Mr Hofs,
I tried the factory reset from the ***LOCKED*** screen, that did not work it kept rebooting and unfortunately, I do not have warranty.
Thanks
So it boots to the BootLoader Screen, this is a good thing, so its not 'dead' ... yet
As you say you have no warranty, First thing I would try is unlocking it ... your in for a ride
go to http://www.htcdev.com/ create an account, and follow the steps for unlocking the device
The fact that you can get into the boot loader means you should be able to generate your bin code, to unlock the thing
If you do manage to get it unlocked, I would follow the instructions in this forum for flashing a custom rom onto the thing
you start by unlocking, rooting, then CWM Recovery
Once you have that done, flash a custom rom, such as IceColdJelly which is what I use
Hopefully this works for you, Its already busted, no harm in trying
Good luck to you!

I have also re-locked boot loader from HTC boatloader unlock after that i am unable to factory reset my phone. :crying:
Pls help i want to make my phone to stock version .
I need HTC DESIRE 816 DUAL SIM 5.0.2 stock version INDIA. pls do help
Hey
So i have this phone HTC DESIRE 816 ASIA dual sim and i am so new to htc because this was my dad's phone. As soon as i had my hands on it, i chose to root it and have super user access. I have successfully unlocked the bootloader but the rooting process was not so successful. I had also managed to install twrp recovery.
But now i cant install ota updates because it boots into twrp and not into stock recovery. So i tried to install stock recovery i got from one of htc desire 816 dual sim thread and tried installing it and locked the bootloader.
Now the problem is, bootloader status is 'relocked', phone's software is 'modified' and entering recovery forces me into a red triangle screen deadend.
Help me to overcome this so that i can have my ota updates install again. A step by step help will be great, because i am so bad at this stuff.
Also how do i unlock bootloader again when i have relocked it. ??
Every help will be appreciated..
I have htc desire 816 dual sim (india) running on Lollipop. For installing some updates i tried to relock the bootloader and change the twrp recovery back to stock recovery. I succeeded in getting the bootloader "relocked". and install stock recovery (when i select recovery, it shows a red triangle with an exclamation). i have been busy with things and could not follow it much.
But now i have lots of free time and so i want to start from the scratch, but i have a few doubts. I am mentioning them right below
1. Should i be worried about the recovery first or the bootloader?
2. Will i get bricked if i try to unlock the bootloader using htcdev website? if yes, is there any better option to relock a bootloader.? ( i have gone through a few threads and saw people having difficulties unlocking a relocked bootloader.)
3.at this point, Will a nandroid backup does any good ?
i am not very good at this stuff. i know that. So any help will be greatly appreciated.
Got it all sorted out. Thanks anyways
