Hi guys, I have a Tilt2 with the EnergyROM...
My phone recently started acting up, and wont charge the battery when plugged in (oem HTC charger)
The orange light turns on, and phone says charging but battery level doesnt change, in fact it drains as usual. Yet sometimes if I leave the phone plugged in it will start charging?
I also get the current charge isnt enough switch to AC charger or close applications error sometimes when plugged with the AC charger...
I'm leaning towards a bad battery but wanted to see if anyone had this problem before?
Thanks in advance!
That sounds like a charger problem. try a different one.
thanks for the response...i tried a charger that had the usb plug to it, i tried a charger with a usb end on it, and two car chargers and i get the same effect...i did hard resets and even installed a new ROM to see if it would help. but no luck

It's the the charging points , look at the middle bar is it staight across try bending it just a little , a smidge left or right , I had this issue before and also on my original tilt and it fixed it.
Guys, my one x just ran into a devastating issue, and by the looks of it, so did my £1500 pc rig. As I plugged my phone into its charger the computer shut off and the phone refused to charge. No sign at all. (just to be clear I did NOT plug it into the PC) The one x is on 4% battery and will probably cut off in 5 minutes. I need help urgently, (my pc needs a new PSU as well) I've tried plugging it into other chargers but that doesn't work. I used the main charger on other phones and they still charge fine.

a few questions did you try other chargers, have you rooted you phone and install a recovery and did your pc shutdown normally or did he just go black
Not trying to state the obvious but ... try another power outlet and another charger perhaps?
Maybe a voltage spike in your power line killed the charger for your phone and the PSU of your PC, or just tripped the CB of your extension cord?
Tried multiple chargers, cables, and outlets. Rooting the phone has nothing to do with the device issue. My computer has a surge protection motherboard (Gigabyte) which started working this morning, the phone could probably do the same thing later on, I'll try later
Hi,
I need some help regarding my phone, (huawei p6) it will only charge if the phone is off.
When the phone is on and i put the charger in it wont charge and it wont connect to pc (all drivers installed)
If i start the phone with the charger connected it will keep on charging when it boots to os.
If i then take out the charger and put it back in it wont charge anymore????
The one thing (i think) caused this problem is that i used an charging pack (battery charger).
I have had the phone for a few weeks now and no problems.
Anyone any idea?
PS syncing to pc not possible even when i reboot (red led)
Thanx,
Oscar

Hi everyone,
Something really strange happened to me last week (or at least I started noticing it last week)
First, when my HTC10 was turned on, it didn't recognize the charger at all, I tried different chargers and cables and the result was the same. If I turned off the phone it worked perfectly. I wiped the cache and tried again with the same result. I booted in safe mode and got the same result.
I hard reset my phone and loaded all my apps again and now the USB C just works when I plug it in a certain way when turned on(one of the two possible ways, impossible for me to know which of them). When turned off it works perfectly.
Does anyone has experienced this? I think maybe it's related with one app, since when turned off it works with no problem.
UPDATE:
I just hard reset my phone again and loaded NO apps but still the same behavior: when turned off USB C can charge the phone no matter which way I plug it, but when turned on it doesn't.

Power phone up with it plugged in. Does it charge then? I get that problem often. I've narrowed my problem down to when I start my car with phone connected on charge (using car charger). Won't charge after that till I restart phone. I'm assuming it gets over or under voltage and safety circuit kicks in until restart. In your case it might be a charger or cable problem (or combination of both).

I think the problem was the cable I was using, after a while it started doing some crazy stuff like saying that I was not using a powerful enough charger. After I changed it everything is working like a charm
I'm experiencing similar problems, but this happened to me after my phone totally discharged, i repost my experience:
Hi guys! i'm occuring in a big problem, i was wondering if anyone of you had this experience with this or others phones, two days ago my htc 10 was totally without battery and died, so i put it on charge, but nothing happens, no led on, if i try to power on, no signs of life, unable to make it boot, even after hours of charge, i noticed that the phone anche the charger were cold, instead of hot like it should.... but after hours, even without led indicator on, i trying to recover it, with surprise, it was hot, i tryed to power on, no signs, i tryed combination of power button and volume buttons and it booted into dowload mode, and after a millisecond it re-died, and booted normally with 65% battery. BTW from that point the phone is unable to charge if i plug the cable into it, nothing happens, but if i put the cable, when is off, it charges even after boot, i tryed to recalibrate battery but nothing happens....
today, one day later, it seems the things are getting better, i'am able to charge it without having to put the phone off, but i always got the message that the charge is slow.
Clean the connector on the phone, make sure it's nice and shiny.
Give the cables a buff up, reboot your phone.
Allow it to boot, connect the official HTC charger in the wall.
Connect the official htc USB c cable into the charger and unlock your phone.
Connect the cable to your phone.
If that doesn't work, try a different wall socket.
Are you on stock? Have you altered any voltages? Any quick charge mods?

If you can reverse the modifications you've done to it I'd be tempted to say take it back to htc and get it sorted. Shouldn't be like that. Personally that's what I'd do.
Hi,
So i have my grans galaxy tab 3 10.1 (5210) as my uncle completely wrecked the charger port whilst drunk.. so i replaced the ribbon cable port for a new one and plugged the charger in before putting the back on to make sure it would charge, which it did, so i unplugged the charger, put the back on then plugged the charger in again.. now its not charging atall.
Im using a samsung charger and cable and have tried the reset buttons (power, vol up & home) aswell as unplugging the battery and holding the power button to drain the capacitors but nothing seems to be working.
Does anybody here have a clue as to what i can di to fix the problem?
Thanks
