LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

This thread is for Unofficial LineageOS 14.1 (v1awifi) ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. The following will not be supported here:
Custom kernels
Mods
Xposed
Do not ask for ETAs. If you do, I will ignore you and your post.
SEANDROID ERROR
If you see a message at boot about Recovery or Kernel is not SEANDROID Enforcing, you can ignore it. This is just telling you that you are not running Samsung stock software. It has no effect on recovery or the ROM itself nor related to either.
I don't support Xposed and any logcat which includes a Xposed module will be ignored.
You're kindly invited to not report bugs if you:
Flashed a custom kernel
Installed or did mods from untrusted sources
Modified system files

You can help us by clicking ads you're interested in for the free version, or purchasing the donator version!
We will use the money generated by this app as common money for the developers of the team. It will be used to pay for our web-hosting (we own a gerrit server and a domain name, exynos5420.com). It will also be used to buy a new device if one of ours breaks.
Translating the App
You can also help us by translating the app to your language:
1. You can start by looking at the full english language file: Link
2. Then compare it to your unfinished language file. You can find it here, under values-xx/strings.xml, xx being your language abbreviation.
3. You can then fill-in the missing strings in your language file. Here's an example of what a proper update looks like.
4. Then you can submit your translation by using our gerrit. If you don't know how to use gerrit, just PM the translation to your favorite developer and he'll get it merged!

Thank you for this wonderful Christmas present, for all your handwork and passion for this tablet and the community built around it at xdadevelopers!!
I'm so giddy right now. I'm gonna download it and start playing around with this rom ASAP !!
I would not recommend dirty flashing from CM-13.0 since this is a major OS change. Also something to take into account is that some apps are not ready for N yet.

Okay. Again thank you.

Found a small problem the MHL out to TV isn't working. Preferences menu button in Titanium Backup isn't there. Configured a hardware key to open menu. That way works.

Up and running, clean install, unable to load LastPass. Anyone else?

Question. How would I go about providing myself root access? Is this built-in but disabled by default or do I need to download and use something like SuperSU?
go to settings > about > tap on build number until tells you developer..... go back to main settings menu and go to dev options. It's in there

Had this problem loading LastPass on the previous CM13.0 ROM version as well (have not installed the new CM14.1 ROM yet).
Had to sideload LastPass for Android 3.2.3 version from: https://lastpass.com/releases/?a=1

NO problem. I haven't done much in here yet... but hey, Chrome words. Words with Friends (my wife!) works. Haven't played with any of the whistles and bells yet.
Okay, odd result: when I restart the tablet plugged in, it cycles between showing me the battery charging icon and going dark. Won't start. If I unplug the tablet, I can start it. Just me? Anyone else?

Thanks for this @thompatry An amazing Christmas present!!! So excited to try this out. Imagine that, a couple of months ago, I was thinking to myself, better sell this outdated tablet and go for a Nexus device or something that's not going to be abandoned by its manufacturer after one update. And today I'm watching the very latest Android OS booting on this great machine!!! Fantastic!!! And all thanks to you and other determined, clever people.
A very Merry Christmas to you Tom, and thanks again!
This is my first ROM from stock. Runs amazing. Thanks!
thomspatry you're a genuis ..thanks for the wonderful update to nougat for p900 ,,, anticipating for future cm upgrades... keep up the good work

Requirements
* You must read this post completely
* You must have flashed a stock MM update to update the firmware to a version that is compatible with these builds. Search XDA for the best way to do so for your device.
* You must use the search first and make sure your question has not been answered yet!
* Do NOT ask for the availability of features or if any specific app works - we implement / announce new features when we want to
* Use the latest TWRP available (3.0.2.0), else expect issues
* If you have a problem, do not ask if someone else has it. Post with logs or don't post at all!
Code:

Stock Firmware B360 and B370 are known to cause bootloops!
(Generally: if your stock ROM supports VoLTE it is likely that it is also affected!)
All others might work, please do not ask in here how to up- or downgrade!
Known Issues / NOT working / "Bugs"
* Search the thread!
* Anything running VoLTE firmware
* You tell me! (See "Other Issues")
Everything else WORKS, do NOT ask if anything (feature, function, ...) specific is working or not (Search the thread if you want to make sure and if you don't find it: test it yourself)
Other Issues?
Before posting on this thread, make sure of a few things:
You've utilized the search function of the forums. Nothing irritates us more than lazy people who do not search for an answer before asking or ask the same question over and over again.
If you are the only one having a problem: boot into recovery, wipe data/factory reset, reflash the rom/gapps and nothing else. Boot up and see if the problem persists.
LOGS LOGS LOGS!!!!
Press BOTH volume keys + power key - it will vibrate very short. Wait until a notification appears that the bugreport is ready, send it to your mail and post it.
Alternatively go to dev options (press "build number" in "About phone" 7 times to activate it), activate the switch "Shortcut for bugreport", then go to Settings->Keys->Power key and activate it there as well. Long press power-key and then use the new menu item.
Only if rooted:
Use this: SysLog by Tortel
If you have a hard reboot (to the vendor boot logo, not the LineageOS boot logo), use adb or any other file explorer tool to pull a copy of "console-ramoops" after the reboot and provide that.
Code:
adb pull /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops
Note: We will not support any kind of modification on the ROM not done by our sources. If you are running XPosed, Kernel Booster or whatever occurs to you, we won't support you in any way. The problem will in every case be treated as the additional softwares' fault (because often it is!)
Changelog (for both, official and unofficial builds!)

Again: if you need Google-Apps, install them after flashing the ROM and BEFORE the first reboot

Google apps addon:
(Note: Not required to run the ROM)
We are using Open GApps (Link) Arm64 version. (make sure to use 64bit when using other packages), others might also be working
Note: In case you want to use any gapps, YOU MUST install the right gapps the first time that you flash a marshmallow ROM. Do not boot with an older gapps or without one and then try to install it later.
Note: If you install a package which replaces the default dialer (mostly "Stock Gapps") you have to go to Settings->Apps->Gear-Icon and set the new dialer as a default telephony app to prevent force closing of apps
Root addon:
Official download site - our device is ARM64
Don't use SuperSU or other tools, otherwise expect bootloops!
Coming from unofficial 14.1 or CM13?
When you already had an unofficial (pre-official) build installed (or are about to upgrade from CM13 the first time), feel free to install the " experimental" build. As we have tightened security, this build is meant to preserve your data during migration. After you have booted it once, please install the next official nightly to complete the procedure (and get rid of the watermark). Please note that this might fail so always take a backup first!
For more info visit this LINK
Update: The experimental builds are gone, you have to clean flash (full wipe) to install LineageOS
Important note

Excellent!!! I am off to test. You the man!
So it begins... going to test this over the weekend
Thanks OP. Have been running it since this morning and it's smooth. I installed both "previous" versions (the 498MB one still with CM and the first 496MB one).
Awesome! Now i'll just wait for the fingerprint, camera and network to be fixed!
Awesome work, love it

What exactly do you mean with "network"? SIM 1 and 2 are working, with data. WiFi is also working like a charm.

You don't want to be running something that was randomly sitting on my download server earlier today. If your build date is before 3pm est then please download and install what is there now.
Earlier builds had problems.
Would be nice to have the expanded desktop version per app to in the next udate . Expanded desktop works fine but only if i turn it on for everything.
Cant choose it per app yet!

General LineageOS issue, not only on our device. (Have reported it)
Please note that requesting something for any update (especially the "next") is not required, we priorize our work items without that
Awesome. This is really a nice year ender announcement for our device. Don't have time to test though. But will definitely flash once the few bugs are fixed.

Flashed it a few hours ago, everything works great (except the things pointed out in the OP). Thank you so much to @crpalmer and @BadDaemon for bringing Nougat goodness to our device. The amazing devs for this phone have made the US$180 I paid sooo worth it
About the fingerprint sensor, is it a safe guess that unless Huawei releases Nougat for our device, the fingerprint sensor won't work? Or is it something else?

At this point all that is safe to assume is that it doesn't work and neither BadDaemon nor I have had a chance to investigate why.
Downloading right now to test. You are the best !!!!
Edit. Installed following the instructions from 1#post (ROM boot, setup. Then gapps and wipes) gapps working perfect. I dont go back to MM for now

New builds should be starting this week, I woudn't recommend installing any of the April builds and wait for the new builds.
The new builds are based on the Nougat_88 release and includes a completely redone kernel and all the blobs have been updated to the latest official release.
Enjoy it when it's built!

I guess you could say that, but really mostly the new thread is because the old thread was created by a user who was helping out when none of the maintainers were reading the forums and therefore there was no thread for the device (and thanks for him doing that). Now I'm supporting ether and I wanted to have a thread that I could manage so I can update the information as needed.
Anybody got WiFi hotspot automatically connected on 7.1.2 when Bluetooth connects. I have tried all automate, micro droid, tasked etc cannot get it work. Any help appreciated. Thanks
New nightly is up
Fresh installed the new nightly, seems much snappier than the last one. Thank you dev!!
Edit: LED light still doesn't work. Hopes it works someday!
Are you referring to the single notification LED at the bottom?
Btw which set of Gapps are you using?

Yup. The charging LED that works on stock ROM and I flashed the latest arm64 OpenGapps pico.
Have you tested do all the cores work?
Amazing rom, way better than the older builds. Snappy, smooth, hopefully battery is better.

All cores are working. Running really smooth.
@crpalmer battery led isn't working and pictures taken with flash enabled are overexposed.
Does the LED show notification?
I just looked at the LEDs and, well, two things.
First, charging is shown by the cloud leds (4 lights on the back) which indicate the percentage charged while plugged in.
Second, well, derp! For some reason the device was configured to disable notifications by default. This should be fixed in the next build (just running a build to do a clean install to verify it) but if you install the first build you will need to enable them manually by going to:
Settings >> Notifications >> Gear icon >> Notification light
and enabling "Notification light".
So the only bug is the overexposed image when camera flash is used?

I turned it on last night and it didn't seem to work.
And now, I see the notification light is working!
I thought it should be enabled in a kernel level like Moto devices.
I didn't even realize that the four dots on the back were the lights.
Edit: Notification light keeps on sometimes. Gone after reboot.

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or the LAOS team will if it concerns their code base. This rom isn't LAOS supported, so no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. How do I enable software buttons?
A. Go to Aicp Extras/Navigation bar, and enable it.
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I keep losing root with Magisk, how do I fix it?
A. Check this out. If that doesn't work for you, ask for help in this thread, read or ask in the Magisk thread on XDA or just re-flash Magisk!
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Oreo. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
7. Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine
KERNEL:
Titan Kernel for LG-G4
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash using the built-in OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use the LAOS recovery and OTA app, but you will need to download the zip file and flash it manually from within your recovery. The Zipfile gets saved in the "aicp_ota" folder on your internal storage.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery. Keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!

Not answering such questions. For me ,
since the development repos are the same, cypher - los - or any other rom are the same.
What changes is slightly the UI and the mods of each rom.
Select and use any rom that fits better to your needs.
rom works very well, battery life is excellent ...
Big cores are permanently disabled and i can't turn them on in this rom

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that since this is also the Titan Kernel, you should be able to use the method described here:

I used FX File Explorer on AOSCP. I imagine everything should work the same here. What you use is up to you
@steadfasterX; @kessaras; @ThePiGuy
Just a quick question re: the boot.image file size of 24,856 kb in the latest H811 upload vs ~10615 kb for the AOSCP 6.0 and ~10627 kb for the LineageOS 15.1
Is it solely accounted for by the difference between the Linux kernel bulkiness vs the Titan kernel? I'm presuming this rom does not contain the full bootloader stack given the contributors involved but would like to confirm this before proceeding to test it as I am on a UsU'd device and do not want the risk of a hard brick.
Thanks,
S.

what are you talking about ? why disable the core control ? for the thermal to not offline the cores ?
And my g4 here is on the second day of use and doesn't have a big battery drain. I think it was Google app notifications I disabled...
Google app really hit our battery hard , I don't know why.
@kessaras pls be aware that the 2 big cores tend to be offline almost everytime, I don't know if this is by design but if it isn't is there anyway to fix this... There's no lag whatsoever anyway, I'm just curious.
PS. Sometimes one or both appear as online ie the switch indicates it's on, however there's no reading indicating it's actually running when I observed using kernel audiotor. Thanks.

I use the CPU Info quick setting tile to show my CPUs. Quite often CPU 4 and 5 show 0 (off) but they do come back on at other times. This is with a default setup, I have not messed around with any governor settings. The tile says CPU 0,1,2,3 are on blu_active and CPU 4,5 I conservative. In Kernel Adiutor on its Overall page it shows that big and little cores never used deep sleep.
I haven't noticed lag as such either. Perhaps they are just very good battery saver settings (but why no deep sleep then?)

You can just verify it by yourself. Open the zip and if you see a modem image or even worse sbl1 or aboot it's not safe.
If you can't find those it's safe.
The boot image sizes (a boot image contains not just the kernel but also the ramdisk) differs from ROM to ROM because a kernel can be compressed or not (~10MB diff) and what they add within the ramdisk.
Sent from my LG-H815 using XDA Labs
@fi5z.x9 the big cores ONLY work when the small can't handle the load. That's how snapdragon 808 works. I've said this many times.
Just stress test the CPU to see that the cores work fine.
Yes it's just like @DarrenNewsgroup said. This is an art. It's made by me in kernel level and it's the best battery life without performance loss. Ofc I could improve the speed , overclock , downclock , I could do a lot more. But no need.
Maybe , I've never experimented this , I could change how snapdragon 808 works and use all six cores ignoring the load on the small. But thats something that will keep the big cores running and your battery go down way too fast.

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!
Flashing Instructions:
- Flash Dirty Unicorns ROM zip
- Flash the audio fix zip
- Flash RIL fix zip if GT-I9300I (dual sim) user
- Flash magisk zip (You need root to tweak kernel settings)
Use micoG if you can. If you cant live without the whole Google fam try to stay with Pico GApps
- Done. Reboot. Wait for 10 mins or so and it will boot up. Finish the setup.
- Flash the camfix if camera is not working
ROM Setup:
After completing the first boot, download Kernel Adiutor and set the following (Needs root)
CPU Governor: ondemand
Hotplug: By default maybe MPDecision and MSMHotplug may be enabled, Use one of them.
If 2 Hotplugs are enabled simultaneously it may cause crashes or reboots.
Apply on boot.
And for file manager and music player, use any app you like from play market.
Whats Working and Bugs?
Everything except offline charging seems to be working!

How To Make Sure Everything Will Work Smooth?
* Go to: Settings -> About phone and note down the Baseband version (eg: I9300IXXUBPF2)
* Now in your browser open https://samsung-firmware.org and search this baseband version in the keywords. It will show up your firmware in search results. Open it.
* There will be tab named 'Region' in the box (eg: XSG), click it. This will list all the firmware updates available for your region. See if you have the latest update available on your phone by verifying the Baseband version on your phone and the Modem/CP version of the firmware. If not download the latest update and update your stock rom by following the instructions given on the page. This is so that you will have the latest bootloader. Users have reported they had to flash the stock rom via odin 2-3 times to update the bootloader.
* Now lets flash twrp. Go to https://twrp.me/ and search for s3 neo in 'devices' tab. TWRP is same for i9300I and I9301I. Folow the instructions and install TWRP recovery on your device (odin method). Disable auto reboot in odin while flashing recovery and reboot to recovery manually after flashing recovery successfully (long press power button + vol up button). Go to twrp, grant the permissions and take a backup of your stock rom (system) and EFS partition.
Important: Always keep a backup of EFS safely.
Now you are all set to flash custom roms.

Now to tweak the kernel settings, Dowload kernel auditor app from play store, open it and grant Root access (always)
This is my settings:
CPU: CPU Governor- ondemand , Multicore Power Saving- Enabled
CPU Hotplug: MPDecision
GPU: Maxm Freq: 320MHz , GPU Governor: simple ondemand
(enable all the settings to apply on Boot)

Use the rom, if you face performance issues, heating, reboots or stuff, do the kernel setup. But if you can, do it at the beginning.
Thanks, is it possible to solve my reboots in carbon also with this kernel settings?

Disabled screen hardware buttons bug was present after install without delete internal storage(caches and system was deleted before install (modell 9301 samsung cam))
THIS IS MY ROM!!!,at least up to oreo....,I think it's the best, thanks kikivivi.
I tried it, looks good but unfortunly reboots as like in carbon. Later i try it with the kernel settings.
I now set the kernel settings, looks gold at the Moment, but another problem. I've a widget called custom switches, when i reboot the phone the widget is deleted and i must set it again.
my phone is italian,(itv),but I installed the ksa firmware, maybe that's why everything works,no reboot,no lags, but I had to install the fix camera, because the ksa has sony sensors, I have samsung.
Have you set kernel settings ?

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS), we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q-S with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device-specific repositories.
If there are any bugs we will sort them out if it concerns our codebase. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, builds for alioth will be released every Thursday
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them, but the discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Does this ROM include GApps or do I have to flash them separately?
A. No, we do not include prebuilt GApps, because of possible licensing issues with Google Software and because some users do not want GApps preinstalled as they want to use alternative services like MicroG or just prefer flashing a GApps "flavor" of their liking.
Q. Does this ROM use the camera or gallery app from stock?
A. It depends on the device. In most cases, these apps include proprietary libs/code and cannot be included in the device trees on GitHub or we risk having the ROM banned from GitHub. In this case, we might try to make them installable (separate from the ROM zip), or we might provide a version of these apps with the ROM that doesn't include any proprietary libs. It's also sometimes the case that these apps are simply not included because we didn't feel the need to do so for the device in question.
Q. Does this ROM have Extended/Scrolling screenshot?
A. No, extended screenshot was implemented using an app extracted and modified from manufacturer firmware/system images and is proprietary as well. It led to the closing of many ROM's sources on GitHub.
Q. Does this ROM have FaceUnlock?
A. No, FaceUnlock was also an app extracted and modified from some manufacturers. Even Google removed the Trusted Face (FaceUnlock) feature for security reasons on Android 9.0/10.x. Adding the modified feature did the same to ROM sources as described above.
Q. Can you add (insert favorite weather provider)?
A. No, we cannot add more weather providers as the implementations change and we (the ROM) now have to pay for most services, and that is not cheap, so we decided to use the best free service that we could find, the only way to add your own is for users to apply for their own API key to use their preferred service.
Q. Does this ROM have private official builds with the above proprietary libs included?
A. No, we believe in open source software, this way users know what's in the build and can replicate it themselves, all official builds are built on our build servers using the public sources from GitHub, and no one can (or would) add their own private sources to the build.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, this is how users can/should install updates most of the time, this can be done with the built-in updater service or with a custom recovery.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?[/U
A. [Flash the ROM(make sure to use twrp auto flash), reboot to the recovery, flash GApps, your preferred root solution, and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to perform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to lose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to lose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterward.
Using the ROM:
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. Do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get, and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section on the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android S. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM zip file.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (use the official TWRP for the device here
3. Format the data.
4. Select reboot to recovery before flashing rom
5. Flash the ROM zip file. Make sure to select twrp auto flash if you want to keep twrp.
6. before flashing any other additional zips, reboot again to recovery
7. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
8. Reboot and set up your device.
9. You can then reboot to recovery and flash the root solution of your choice if you want to, and then boot back to the system.
(NOTE= on dirty flashing updates, you might need to reflash gapps and magisk)
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 20.4 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be
Instructions for OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates)
Open the updater app, download the update, then press install and wait for the process to finish (feel free to let it run in the background), then press reboot when prompted, there isn't any need to flash GApps separately

AICP is sick Rom, try it out!
Hi, I have 4 issues.
1) Torch from quick settings works, but Torch by long press power button not.
2) Sometimes there is one row of quick settings and sometimes, there are two in notifications panel before expand.
3) Long press Caffeine quick settings should turn on infinite Caffeine. Prevent display to turn off. Instead it behave like click - turn on 5:45m Caffeine.
4) Gboard move cursor ability on space is way too quick. Seems like app issue, but it was ok yesterday on different Rom.
Can anybody help or confirm?
But instead I am very happy. Add block without root or VPN, slim recents, hide nav bar.. Great Rom
I've flashed the rom yesterday out of curiosity after months on crdroid, it is great drishal took over the development of Aicp Rom is really smooth and battery seems good so far. I confirm torch issue when pressing lockscreen which is annoying, it is an issue I found like 6-8 months ago in first android 12 roms, it is working in crdroid for instance. Some translation in aicp extra are missing in French, also volume slider sometimes doesn't disappear after upping volume, I have to press down to make it go away.
Ps : I don't find 60-120hz options
@OUTbrain @nicky69100 you better join the TG group to get instant support, I dont think he uses xda that often.

for the torch and caffiene thing, its source side, so cannot do anything much about it

Anyways just wanted to make a small post on why i sold my alioth
Long story short
My mi11x was auto shutting down for some reason
Took to service center
They replaced bottom fbc board
Then after a few days it began happening again
Then again took to sc
They again replaced the same thing
Then the issue happened AGAIN
they then took it for motherboard replacement
They then call after 20 days and say that motherboard has been replaced
But a few hrs later they call again and say the issue happening again
Then again after a few hrs they say it might have gotten fixed
I finally reached the breaking point and sold my 11x , and got the nothing phone 1 lmao
"
Devlopment might hopefully continue with phone 1 after sometime (probably android 13)
hello everyone I had great expectations from this room unfortunately I ve to say it's quite buggy .
1)heads up notifications are not showing at all I ve made sure to enable it in every possible settings.
2)qs tile number very often reset to 4
3)since I use xposed edge pro I hide the navigation /Taskbar wich works for most app except Instagram that won't fill the entire screen ,leaving empty space at the bottom .
does anyone have any workaround for these bugs rather than going back to lineage OS?
thank you very much for the help .
