Regarding touchscreen issues; - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So my Lg g4 started having touch screen issues (misclicks or detecting no input at all) about last week. I've done a good amount or searching and found out this problem was quite common. However, I haven't seen thing about whether its a digitizer issue or something.
So my question is, if I were to replace the digitizer would it solve the issue? Has anyone done this?

Touchscreen issues after replacement

The screen on my MyTouch Slide shattered and I ordered and installed a replacement (this is the outer layer/digitizer). No issues there. But now the touchscreen functions are out of whack. It responds but there are dead areas, it scrolls choppily and acts like it needs calibration.
I'm not sure if this is a hardware or a software issue. Nothing but the outer screen was damaged initially (as far as I could tell). I'm wondering if:
This could be a contact problem? If the digitizer wasn't set properly on the LCD, could this be a result? (I disassembled and reassembled the phone after this problem began to try and confirm this but the problem persists)
If the phone needs some kind of software calibration or adjustment? I did a hard reset and wipe after installing, but no improvement.
ROM issue? I am running Cyanogen RC 7.1
LCD broken? Not attractive, but possible.
Any suggestions anyone has would be helpful. This isn't my main phone (and it's probably ready for the Shoebox of Retirement) but I'd like to get it running well before I give up on it.
Thanks!

Charging and touchscreen issues

Does anyone else have weird touchscreen issues when charging their device? It only happens after you charge your device. You're gone for a few hours and when you come back to unlock the device, the screen is not responsive (the lockscreen for example rubber bands back). Sometimes, the capacitive buttons don't work. So far, locking and unlocking the device fixes the issue.
I'll just like to know if it's a general problem or a problem specific to my S II that may warrant an exchange.
Happy holidays all

edit: Doh, I should have used better search terms like separating touchscreen into 2 words. Found similar problems that way. It appears to be an issue with the included charger and not the device itself:

Screen problem with T110 - how should the LCD flex sit?

Hi
I'm having a problem with a lite (T110) that I bought second hand. The digitizer wasn't working so I bought a new one, but the problem pre-existed my replacing the digitizer. The video below shows it, which you can see is intermittent, and hitting the power button twice in succession generally resolves it.
It's not a ROM issue, as I've tried a few ROMs. Kernel, I don't know. My best guess is that it's related to the flex cable that connects the LCD to the tablet. While changing I disconnected this flex, and tried to see if I could resolve the issue by touching it. The results were not conclusive. Sometimes I could, sometimes I couldn't.
Does anyone have a video/picture of the inside of a T110 that shows how the lcd flex is supposed to fit? Has anyone else experienced this problem and resolved it?

Fixing an old issue. Advice needed.

Hello there. Roughly 4 months ago I bougth a second E980 as a replace for an old one who got some strange issues on its screen (random/ghost touches and -progresively- dead digitizer, display was ok), just to find that the new one started to show the same issues.
I tried to replace the digitizer alone on the older one and that worked only for a short time, and now I wonder if changing the whole digitizer+LCD display could fix the issue...what do you think? had you experienced a similar problem in the past? is adviceable to buy the whole screen replacement? is this a software problem? should I pass of this phone and curse to the skies like a mad man?
Sorry for the crappy grammar.

No response from the touchscreen

Since yesterday my moms G4 does not respond to touch. No damage to touchscreen or anything.
I've tried restoring the phone with LGUP but still doesn't register any touches. Looks like its a hardware problem.
Anyone have this, does replacing the screen/digitizer fix this issue?
