[Q] Power Saver mode "Conserve CPU Usage". How it works on HTC One X (JB 4.1.1)?
Folks,
JB 4.1.1's Power Saver mode has this option of Conserve CPU Usage.
So, what it actually does or what are the impact on performance if I switched it ON?
Just curious, for extreme phone users during the workday, has anyone tried using the M8 all day on 'Power save' mode ? Not the extreme mode, but the regular Power saver ?
How much does this mode save on battery life, compared to not using it ? But my typical settings, are no GPS, no Bluetooth, set screen to 50% - 75%, Greenify set to hibernate a lot of background apps.
Ok, I put my phone in Safe Mode to try something out, and now that I have put my phone back in normal mode - I don't have battery saver or extreme battery saver mode?
Please see attached screenshot!
Any ideas how I can get these back?
Edit - Ignore this - I figured it out! I had High Performance Mode enabled, the battery saving options disappear when you have that enabled!
Power Management / Smart Switch OFF but still ON
Hi guys, as the title indicates under 'Settings > Power management > Power saver > Smart Switch' I have both options (By battery level & by Schedule) turned OFF, but the phone still switches between modes at the time set in 'By Schedule' option. This is happening since last update, WW_2.20.40.90.
Does anyone else experience this issue? For the moment, I've set it to switch to the same mode, but still get the Power saving notification.
I found that I get better battery life if I keep power saving mode on during my daily use, problem is that it lowers the screen brightness too low sometimes even when slide to max brightness. Is there a way to retain my brightness on normal mode when I am in power saving mode?

Click to collapse
You can try lumos brightness manager but you will no longer be able to use the slider in the quick menu.
You may want to try the app "Night Screen" as well.
