I extracted this right from the official I9300 firmware.
Use Hellcats app to change to boot logo. I left it in original dimensions and had to crop it before the app would allow me to apply it.

*BUMP* to let people know

Hi there ! Sorry to wake up this old thread, but maybe you can help me !
I'd like to change my boot logo on SGS3 I9300 so i would like to know how you extracted this image and from what file ? Did you manage to extract it from boot.img ?
I asked Hellcat if it's possible for him to port his great bootlogo changer app to S3 but he said it's much more complicated. So i'd like to try on my own via adb and / or odin to help.
Thanks in advance for informations !:good:
The param.bin file in the update is a renamed tar archive that has it. But I have heard that people who tried replacing the file then flashing have found it not to work for some reason.
nice, i was just looking for it
Hey there! Is there a way sb could extract the original S3 Bootlogo?
Thanks!
here, i have attached the i9300 (sgs3) BOOT LOGO as you requested

Yes I read the post.
You cannot mount mmcblk0p4 (param partition) on the SGS3.
Mount gives an I/O error.

You asked .

Boot animation files are located in system / media
as two files .
Bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg.
Exactly as posted by Tweezydak1d

Uh...not what I asked. The boot logo is on the param partition (mmcblk0p4).
How do I mount mmcblk0p4 so I can change the boot logo. The method for the SGS2 does not work - it uses /dev/block/stl6 which does not exist on the sgs3.
Can somebody post the boot sounds for power on and power off (shut down)?
Thanks.

Hey guys,
So i accidentally replaced the bootanimation binary file in my system/bin/ folder with another one and now no bootanimations play on my device.
It boots up normally, i just don't see the bootanimation.
I am running rooted, stock touchwiz 4.4.2 with an SGH-i257m.
Would it be possible for someone to upload their stock bootanimation file so i can put it back into the folder.
Thanks !
