So recently my ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML started having some display isues and now more than half of the screen is unusible by the flicker and rainbow strips (but after it heats up and i mean hot to the touch the problem disapiers). And I desited to change my screen becouse i saw that it was a common problem with the phone and only way to fix it was to replace the screen. So I disasembled it and on the LCD display kable was writen "AUO FHD ZE551ML" and the only LCD display + touch digitizer units i foud had "TM FHD ZE551ML".SO WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "AUO FHD ZE551ML" AND THE "TM FHD ZE551ML"? AND WIL IT WORK IF I CHANGE IT FROM "AUO FHD ZE551ML" TO "TM FHD ZE551ML".

The screen is WVGA TFT LCD - and the screen looks fine in my opinion!

well ,first thank you! but i think it's worth being using a better screen in this kind of phone,at least ,a better screen than MOTO used.....TFT...yeah...what a battery holder of 1230..isnt it？update CPU to 45nm and a tft screen.....
Yesterday I bought a tab S 8.4,
I found the LCD have black spot when displaying white or grey colour, it is normal? thanks for help.
Sorry i cannot see any problems from that photo as it`s just too low quality, I even inverted it in an photo app and zoomed in, and could see nothing, but i do believe you.
The 8.4" Tab S has been reported to have a few problems with the display, but it`s very rare, just get it replacement or a repair.

Hey!
So, I dropped G3 on the ground today, and my screen is shattered + only like 4mm at the lower part of the screen is responsive while the remaining 5,4 inch (... ) isn't . The screen is working as in it is displaying things but it isn't responsive. Anyways, I was looking on the forum for topics about replacing a screen etc.. but I couldn't find any answers on my question.
Which is, is it safe to buy a screen+digitizer+ frame from ebay?.

But i've heard/read that some screens may come in 1080P instead of QHD.
Would that be an actual problem if it turned out to be a 1080P screen? I don't mind having a 1080P screen tbh. My previous phone (Xperia Z) had a 1080P screen and I couldn't spot any difference between the 2 screenresolutions.

This explains it pretty well. You may have to change the DPI or density to match resolution.

You can't change the resolution.
It's always at:
Cover: 2268x832
Main: 2208x1768
Neither is FHD (1920x1080) or QHD technically.
Edit: fixed uhd to qhd cause it is morning.
