SUPPORT the struggle against BROADCOM!!

Hi,
I recently got a Galaxy Y GT-S5360. I read about Stock ROMs, Custom ROMs over here in XDA and wanted to try them, so I come to know that there's a custom ROM by the name Cyanogen Mod 7 ( popularly known as CM7 ) but hey!?! its not yet on Galaxy Y.
Broadcom has not released the drivers for its CPU and GPU loaded in Galaxy Y yet!! Well that means developers cannot just develop something that needs these and we may not be able to see CM7 on Galaxy Y!!!
Some of our fellow XDA members are struggling with their efforts to force Broadcom to release the drivers. Please support them, you can sign this petition by clicking the link below

This is a collective effort of a large number of people and try to get as much support as possible from your friends and anyone who you think can help!
Don't forget to thank the ones who started the initiative!!
Hi, I have locked this thread since there is already this one: {GOOD NEWS | FOR CM7 DEVELOPERS, COME HERE} Force Broadcom to Release The Driver

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

Remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

Already loving Kit Kat! Thanks Carbon!
Man, this ROM is SOLID! It's great to be back home. I hope Carbon gets to relive its glory days, as it did in 4.3. Great job team!

Can someone provide a direct link to rom download. Left sidebar device tree doesn't show up in phone or laptop browsers and even when I Google found my way to toroplus download page there's nothing linked after select a release type. Thanks

Update: download page working now
Please ignore
Can anyone let me know how data is please. A lot of devs have perfected the icons showing but data is sketchy. I like the features that are listed here and I would love to make this my everyday driver. I have been a CM fan for ever but I don't like the change in policy. Build and send out then hope for the best. This ROM seems like the one to replace CM. Thank you.

data for me has been nothing short of a miracle! It has been switching seamlessly between 3G and LTE with no issues what-so-ever. I used to hate having to always reboot the phone just to get LTE in an area I know has LTE. I am also on the newest radio the GJ04 and have been for quite some time.

The only issue I have so far (and its not a deal breaker by any means) is screen rotation...when the screen rotates, it sort of gets fuzzy, like a bad picture, but then quickly fixes itself. Running Carbon KitKat on my SGS4 as well and it does not do that, so I'm thinking its something with the Toroplus??
dirty flashed the most recent nightly and running well. digging the pie controls. any way that the Carbon Updates in about phone could work to update to the latest nightly as there are no KK milestones?
Very impressed with this Rom !
downloaded and flashed yesterday, very nice and stable. I like that the dialer has the Google local business search function built-in, I remember earlier cm builds didn't have it...
Haven't noticed any hiccups yet!:good:
Anyone flash a custom kernel with this Rom? any kernel suggestions?
Alternative Kernel
flashed the tinykernel-5.5-ASRAM.zip yesterday and everything seems to be running smooth after a day of use. This kernel is giving me 733mb of RAM to work with, so you gain around 30mb over the included rom kernel. I've tested WIFI, GPS, camera, etc., everything seems to function as it should. I've also underclocked to 230MHz and kept the max set at 1200, although you can go over 1500MHz if your phone can handle it...mine usually freezes instantly around 1500. Currently I'm still on build from 2-13, but will be updating soon.
This Rom seems to be very stable and one of the best KitKat Roms I've tried ! I've also reduced animations setting, along w/ other available related settings down to .25 within developer options. Under this set up my phone is pretty snappy!
Data switching (3g/4g, Wifi) has been flawless so far!
Although the tiny kernel I mention above works on this Rom, I was experiencing pretty often freeze ups requiring battery pulls, so running the included kernel since updating the rom and haven't had to battery pull yet... so for now will stick w/ the included cyanogenmod kernel.
Overall Great Rom !
Do any of the KK builds have LTE working?

[REQUEST] (LG-V500) Custom Kernel for LG Stock Lollipop ROM

Hello community, I'm opening this thread especially to gather developers attention to this request as the subject states to build and develop a custom kernel for this great tab. The reason behind this is that although there are here more advance Android versions than Stock they lack much by LG's fault some features like for example IR. So for people like me that don't mind being on the latest version and having full functionally of the tablet I would like to ask for a kernel like @rick_Roll so that the tablet can be also fluid and fast. Sorry about this but if some developer could do this I and maybe some other people would thank that a lot.

Galaxy Note 2 N7100 and CM12 and some general question

Hi,
I'm new to the forum so I wasn't allowed to post my comment/question directly to http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-2/orig-development/cyanogenmod-12-alpha-1-n7100-t2949644
I'm having a Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) which currently runs Cyanogenmod 11 directly from cyanogenmod.org. I'm quite happy with, but I would still like to move on to 5.0 or 5.1.
The post I mentioned above looks really promising but with more then 800 pages of discussion, it is a bit hard to really get a understanding about the state of the build.
Is there also some kind of overview page which tells me what works and what (maybe) don't work. I want to be sure that I don't install a CM versions and then some important parts doesn't work. If such overview page exists, it would be great if someone could point me to it. If not maybe someone can give a summary about the current state and if it can be used on a productive phone on a day-to-day basis or not.
Additionally I have two more general question.
1. I seems like a lot of work happens here to develop newer Cyanogenmod versions for the N7100, at the same time the development at cyanogenmod.org seems to be stalled for this device. Why all this great work happens outside of the official Cyanogenmod community and why people don't take over the development at cyanogenmod.org instead of building their ROMs here at xda-developers? I just want to understand how all this is related to each other because from a user perspective this can be quite confusing.
2. for my CM version from cyanogenmod.org I get updates automatically when they are released over their release channels. How does it works if I install a version from here? Will I get notifications or updates if they are available? Or will I have to look for it manually and install it every time again manually?
Thanks a lot for reading my question and for the answers!

cm 12.1 in developpement for sm-t116 and sm-t11

I'm happy to announce that I'm working on the port of cyanogenmod 12.1 for the galaxy tab 3 lite sm-t113 and sm-t116.
I'm still working on it, but I'm having issues
U can contact me on the form that I'm going to make next week.
Goodbye.
Anything new from this port?
well these tabs are old i dont think anyone wants to develop for them anymore. The last latest rom is the Lineageos 14.1. It nice but its laggy and in some places it looks like there is no hardware acceleration. I want android 5 or 6 on it but no roms found so far :/
