Just asking to see if anyone has done/is going to do a kernel with F2FS support
Hi Fellas,
I am currently wondering whether there is any development efforts going on in the field of full f2fs roms for flo?
thanks in advance!
Hi @steijn0,
any Lollipop Rom is f2fs compatible, you only have to flash a f2fs Kernel like Glitch for the ramdisk. I'm currently using Simple AOSP with Glitch kernel. Only system is ex4.
The!
using a rogers i737m, up to now I've been using stock roms and noticed that the few non stock I've tried I lose exFat so for that reason I stayed away from em.... can someone either clarify how I know what's my options or suggest a good rom, I favor battery life over additional features although I want to keep aptx support and exfat as I use the phone mostly for playing music.... thanks!

I have a very finicky microSD. I've tried to use it as fat32 twice due to ROMs not supporting exfat and both times it failed almost immediately. On exfat it has over one year's worth of good performance (with a couple of RMA's in the middle when I tried to use it as a fat32 card).
Exfat support was hit and miss in jellybean and kitkat custom ROMs. On kitkat I would always flash the Quantum kernel on top of my ROM because it had exfat support built-in, and it's an awesome custom kernel. So Quantum kernel is a great option if you need exfat support on a kitkat ROM.
I think I've tried pretty much all the lollipop ROMs for i747 (CM, PAC, Slim, Validus, Cyanide, Broken, Dirty Unicorns, etc.) They all seem to support exfat out of the box with no tinkering or custom kernels required. Some of the early builds didn't support exfat, but everything I've flashed since at least April or May has.
Sorry I can't vouch for aptx, but bluetooth has been working fine for me with the little plain jane speaker I use my phone with.

a response is a response, thank you very much.... hopefully someone else can tell me about aptx codec side of things
Does anyone know if there are any kernels supporting f2fs? I'd really like to enable f2fs for my sdcard at least. Also, does anyone know if the Sense 8 ROM even supports f2fs? Do both system AND kernel have to support it?
Can someone plz tell me is there any other Rom to run on f2fs as data apart from RR and Los..
