Ive tried everything I can think of and it wont work. I have two head units. My older GA5153 was almost too easy. I inserted the SD card into the GPS slot and the unit recognized it and suggested an update. A few minutes late...it was done! My new unit is a Witson that I found on AliExpress. I love the 9 inch screen and the fact that its a quad core, but the UI just isn't doing it. It remembers most things but there's little settings that revert every time you restart the unit. I want the new ROM on there but its just not happening.
The issues Im running in to currently:
Theres no Physical buttons on the unit. I should be able to use the reset as a select button but I haven't got that far yet. The problem there is every time I boot into recovery mode its just the android on his back and it says "No Command".
The unit doesn't do any type of auto update like the GA5153 did.
It almost seems as if the UI was designed to try to prevent people from upgrading. Any and all help is appreciated as Ive been at this for hours and hours with no success. Thanks guys!
Can't you use a USB keyboard?

As bad as it sounds, I didn't even think of that. One of the wiring harnesses in the back has a usb port on it. Ill have to see if itll read it when I plug it in.
The unit recognized the keyboard and it was functional while the unit was on, but it wouldn't work in the recovery menu. I'm not sure what to do anymore. All the ROM installer apps Ive tried have failed to recognize the ROM on the SD card. Its very frustrating but I will make this work.
What Witson model do you own?
Are you sure it's a MTCB HU?
Have you tried to contact the manufacturer?
I dont think your Witson unit is an MTCB HU.
Hello ,
two weeks ago I bought that unit for my Mazda CX-5.
The problem i have is, when I start the car in the morning, no USB Port is available.
when I start the car later again, all ports can be used.
The seller said, it will be an inkompatible USB chip (my chip is GL850G) and I should replace the GL852G for the GL850G.
It´s no contact problem, I tested all possibilities.
Is it possible that the reason could be is a firmware problem.
My englisch is not very well, so please be answer easy for me.
thank you
Sven
Update to hal9k ROM, it's an hardware bug. The hal9k ROM resets the usb hub when HU boots.

Hello,
That's enough, and works?
Thank you

Hi
I have the same problem on my Dasaita!
the problem occurs only with the dab module connected to the cable with 2 usb, while the single USB cable, which I connected the 4G wi-fi router, always works.
If I will installed the hal9k ROM, could I fix the problem?
thanks
I purchased a Dasaita PX5 Android 8.0 headunt for a NISSAN X-Trail 2016 last August. Since autumn I've more or less weekly (sometimes daily) a big problem: the head unit restarts during nomal operation conditions and sometimes it even restarts up to 10 times!
After resetting the unit by pressing the reset button the system mostly runs fine. I think the main problem is the USB chip on board. I've read that there's an USB-chip issue. Dasaita suggests to change the chip by your own. Why they do not ship new updated boards?
Hey guys! its been a minute since i been on this forums. since the Samsung Vibrant and Galaxy S2 lol
anyways I bought a Phoenix Android head unit for our 2018 f150. the manufacture told us to do a CANBUS update and provided us the file via dropbox. we followed the youtube installation instructions and it went up to the 100%, then restarted. it never came back on. just a black screen. tried cycling the car on/off. tried holding the RST button. tried disconnecting the trucks battery and reconnect. nothing.
when the car is on though, the bluetooth signal for the head unit and the Sync does both show up.
is there any way to fix the bad CANBUS update?
Info on the unit:
MCUVer: 860C_KWY_E165f-FOD3-La1.00-9124
FrameworkVer: px3-userdebug 7.1.1 NMF26X eng.zxw.20170905.151422 test-keys
OSVer: 20190226A-1024x768-1.6G-860C-Ver1.0.0.kw-Ov
Nandflash: 17.68G/26.88G
RAM: 913M/2G
my unit does not have any buttons on it. all it has is a RST button. have to use a pin to press it. I think i read something about connecting a USB keyboard. not sure if i would be able to reinstall a CANBUS though.

What did the reseller suggest to resolve the issue, when contacted about this result?

They told me to hold the rst button, and try disconnecting the battery, press the reset button again.
Then last solution was to disconnect the battery for several hours and try again
Hold reset for over 20 sec (on my headunit about 22).
Hello. I just bought PX6 Android 10 car multimedia unit. It had no sound and steering control, so I thought I would update MCU and system. No I still not only didin't cleared the issues, but the screen is off to the side (lost about 20% screen), touch is out of normal operation, and have verson unmatched warning.....
Could someone help?
It was
MCU MTCE_HXD_V3.56_3
It's all touch, so is there a way to boot to recovery mode? I managed once, but can't repeat it, RST looks like not working and I'm desperated...
Welcome new member. Suggest taking some time to have a read through, you're likely to find related post and information.
I have had an issue with my unit since I received it in May 2019. When I initially installed it, it up it worked OK, CD, Radio and USB all played fine as did the navigation.
So I remove the car key and call it a day. When I return and put my key in the slot, I could hear the units disc transport spinning up and reading the TOC and then whatever the last track being played could be heard, I could control volume etc from the steering wheel but there was no display and no amount of button pressing will bring it back.
I got a cocktail stick and hit the reset button on the front and hey presto the display returned OK. This also works if I unplug it from the cars loom and then reconnect it (but that is just a faff too far).
However as soon as I remove the key at the end of a journey and then return to it and put my key in, I have no display but it will be playing whatever it was when I left it previously.
It has on VERY RARE occasions functioned as expected but it is so infrequent that I cannot recall when that last occured.
The supplier did send a replacement CANBUS Decoder and a replacement screen but neither fixed the issue.
Any ideas?

Since your unit seems to work after a reset, maybe disabling the auto sleep (fast boot) feature to force the unit to do a full boot every time you start the car might help. The setting may be found in the Extra settings menu (for Dasaita units it's under Settings...Car...Extra settings). I have mine set to fully power off the system 30 seconds after I turn the car off, thus a full boot up every time I start the car.
Full boot up would be better than having to reach for the reset every time you want to go for a drive.
We have a winner!
Thank you so very much jlbooth for your reply and suggestion.
Only wish I'd posted earlier.
Cheers
Dave
Glad to be of assistance to you Dave. I've had a lot less problems with various things on my own head unit since disabling fast boot.
