VoLTE not avaible ? (available in INDIAN VERSION) - Xperia Z5 Premium Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i bought an Xperia Z5 Premium Dual from UAE (DUBAI) and updated to the last yet available.
now i switched to Jio 4G and VoLTE is not available :crying:
but the same phone in india has VOLTE..
so other country roms are flashing with the indian version ROM to get the VoLTE feature.
Is there any option without rooting or flashing ?
Why Sony disables/hides the VoLTE in their premium segment phone ?

Not sure I fully understand your situation but I do know that not all stock firmware has VoLTE enabled but I do know that the firmware needs to have it enabled and your carrier must support it as well.

VoLTE feature is regional specific for each firmware. In your case, flashing Indian variant firmware into your phone should enable VoLTE.

thanks for your valueable reply
thanks both of you for your valuable reply.,
my device is still in warranty, its ok i will search and flash with Indian rom to enable the VoLTE

[Q] 4G LTE

The samsung is marketing tabS as 4G lte. surprising to see that i it is not T705 marketed in India do not have LTE capability and still now upgrade also not seen.
can any one tell any way to enable the LTE in the menu .
Wrong thread
Thank you sir,
But it is not just hat the device settings do not have LTE capability at all. even if i take device brought in India to place where SM-T705 4G/LTE Frequencies: 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600Mhz. available it will not work
QUOTE=Mokum020;58814937]Looks like the 4G/LTE frequency used in India is not supported by SM-T705:
SM-T705 4G/LTE Frequencies: 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600Mhz.
Airtel 4G frequency in india: TD-LTE 2300 MHz.[/QUOTE]
That is correct. The Indian Stock Samsung ROM does not have LTE enabled. If you want to use your Tab S in some other country, then you may flash (with ODIN) the Stock ROM for that country. Sammobile has a repository of all the latest ROMs.

I guess its so people buy the device for the region they use it in. But yeah, it makes no sense.
A ROM from another region that has LTE/4G unlocked will enable you to use LTE on networks/bands supported in india.

If so then you need to ask someone in India who is using it
OR ignore your laziness, perform a Ndroid backup and try it

Jio won't work on fulmics. Fulmics has volte support but its not enough for jio. You need the jio 4g app to make the call. Internet works fine. Not only on fulmics but on any rom, calling won't work.
Currently using jio on my d855.

a)delete all previous APN and create these 2 APNs:
Name: Internet
APN: jionet
Type: default,ia
Protocol: IPv4 and IPv6
Name: IMS
APN: ims
Type: ims
Protocol: IPv4 and IPv6
b)Now, Go the to dialer and type - 277634#*#
c) go to FIELD TEST..then VOLTE On/Off...then SUBCRIBER..and then type all the settings shown in the 2nd comment of the post having 8 screenshots. The link of the thread is --> ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/g...l-sim-t3471160) . Make sure everything is types exactly as shown in the screenshots. Once again I repeat, Follow the screenshots attached in the very starting (2nd comment )of the same thread and type exactly as shown in the screenshots. In short, make sure you leave nothing under SUBSCRIBER ,AoS and Debug Screen option.
4) RESTART your mobile.
5) Make sure VOLTE option is enabled in the notification panel. You can Also check the VOLTE status as shown in those 8 screenshots under the VOLTE DEBUG SCREEN setting which tells you VOLTE is ENABLED or DISABLED.
ENJOY !! you can now make VOLTE calls and Surf the internet over LTE simultaneously
try this method with volte enabled rom and inform whether it is working or not....... it worked on g4
Lg g3 d 858hk doesnt on volte setting to on in field test.. It shows not supported

Doesnt work on lg g3 d858hk (MM30b) shows volte not supported

Flashing a different ROM variant. Does it work?

Just wondering if it's possible to flash a different ROM variant on the Honor 7x. I have a US variant (BND-L24) and it's bricked. There is no stock rom for it as yet so want to try either the BND-L22 / BND-AL10. Will this work?
I have the same doubt

It won't support the network bands in your Region but I think other software features might work . I'm not sure though
I would just wait it out. Honor US customer service says mid-March release for firmware, so it should be dropping any day now.

Can you flash US firmware on Korean or Chinese s20?

I ordered a Korean S20 ultra (988N), but live in the US. Has anyone flashed the US firmware on a bootloader unlocked SD variant of the phone (ie 988U1 firmware on a 988N or 9880)? If so, did you have to change the CSC to XAA before or after you flashed the firmware?

I don't have an answer to your question but will the non-US phone work in the US like on Verizon system as is?
It should work fine on LTE. The main Verizon bands are 2, 4, 5, 13, all of which are supported in all s20 variants. I don't think you'll get 5g on any US carriers, so if that's important, better to pick up a US spec phone, and pay to unlock the bootloader.

I tested the phone (G988N) on both Verizon on TMobile. I was able to get 5G on both carriers. So I can confirm that all features (except possibly WiFi calling on Tmobile), work.
So using the KOO firmware in the US works perfectly fine. No reason to try to flash XAA.

I wish you had tried lol I'm tempted to flash the U1 firmware on my Korean S22 Ultra but I'm looking for more info before going for it. Still no luck.
