Hello! There are annoying static /cackling noises in the video's sound, some kind of bouncing noise, usually in the first part of the video recording. Is there any solution, or settings to fix this or it is a hardware issue? This issue is always only in the first video, the second and the others are always perfect...
No solution. In my service replace motherboard. In begin its ok, after few months noise back. Its factory bug.

Sorry to hear that It's very interesting, if I search about static noise issues, there are many posts and topics, several brands phones generates this bug (note 3,S4,S7,G2,G3...) so this is maybe not (only) hardware issue... But the only solution is to make a short video, after that make the "real" one, because only the first capture has this crackling noise. But in every day usage it is a very ridiculous, and unusable method....
Maybe I have a solution! Go to Sound &Notification/Advanced settings - More/ Sound effects and uncheck all (Dialpad, touch sound, screen lock) I tested yet, but for now I dont have any crackling and popping sound during video.

Sent it in for the wifi problem. That was fixed but there is now a high pitched noise when recording a video. Not impressed. Back in again next week.
Send an email to htc. Can't hurt anyone

Are you sure they didn't just turn on stereo recording?
When I have stereo sound recording turned on I hear a high pitched tone. Also I noticed that the sound gets muted for half of a second when I turn the flash on or off. But what I forgot to ask you, why would stereo sound recording cause a high pitched sound to appear in the video? Even when I play some music on my speakers and try to record the sound I hear that annoying sound.
Wi-Fi issues? Poor service from HTC UK repair? Shocking. I wonder why this hasn't come up before? Oh wait. It has, in 220 pages of discussion. The party you're looking for is over here.

When I make video recordings I can hear pretty loud crackling noises during the first seconds of the recordings - probably some type of static noise. When I make several recordings the noises are not present anymore in the second or third recordings. Anyone with the same problem? Solutions are welcome!

I´m having the exact same problem (t-mobile version). Did you ever find a solution? I'm in the first 14-days of owning, might swap it out if this problem persists.
Hi all,
I've discovered a problem (not sure it is a bug, faulty hw, or just a setting) in my z1 compact. Seems that everytime a sound terminate (maybe because I stopped the spotify song, the sms song ends, etc) a strange, weird, sound continues to be produced for a couple of seconds.
I know it is difficult to explain: try to imagine when you register something with a microphone, then what you're recording finish and the silence is recorded as 'zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz' like a distorsion or interference.
This is the issue. I've noted then during the night in the bedroom and when you've silence is pretty clear and audible. As is present with any sound, from internal sounds to videos and spotify, I think it might be a sw bug or a wrong setting somewhere.
Have you noted something similar or might you check?
thanks
Ste
Hi.
Had my G3 for about a week and have noticed a few issues with the sound quality on the device. One being the hizzing/buzzing noise present when media is playing when headphones are connected which I have seen documented elsewhere.
However, I think that this issue is slightly more pressing for me, whenever I record a video from the camera and play it back, the sound quality is fine for the first few seconds until it becomes muffled and quieter with sound no longer sounding clear or crisp.
Here is a video that I have shot that the issue obviously present.. It's a shame that this sound issue is present, because the videos the G3 takes in 4K with OIS look fantastic.
The device I have is the D855 (16GB/2GB, UK/EUR variant) version and this is with the stock camera app on stock LG software.
Anyone having this issue that could potentially shed some light on it, would rooting and using the modified camera app make any difference.
Hi
Did you find a solution to the issue described? Even though your link does not work anymore I think my phone has the same issue. When video recording the left channel is full of hissing/buzzing noise.
Edit: Found a solution for my problem maybe it can help you too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/video-recording-sound-issues-left-t3008839
Wonder anyone have the same problem as mine.
My speaker produce crackling sound when in call or when watching youtube.
Actually all apps that produce sound.
However after restart, problem gone.
But will come back after awhile.
*#0*# test speaker, no issues.
So i gather might be software issue.
Anyone have the same problem or remedy?

Did you try lowering the volume to see if it still cracks? Is it on all YouTube videos or just some.

It happens with whatsapp call, samsung music player, anything that project sound. Even with lower volume. After reboot the crackling will go away.
Also notice that it happens more often if battery is in optimized or lower mode. Very weird.
This happend with my device as well, i got a replacement from Samsung.

How old is your unit when you get it changed?
Are they able to finf out the issue?
The sound quality is bad in this phone. I had a s20u with both speakers crackling during phone calls, whatsapp calls, skype calls etc and also when certain youtube videos are played (for example piano tunes) there is buzz/crackle from earpiece speaker. I tested my speakers too from *#0*# but there was no issue then.. the sound was crystal clear from both the speakers. Got it replaced and bought a new s20 ultra but this one have the same issue. Will sell it in next few months and switch back to Apple.

It was just a day old and yes the crackling sound was clearly audible on high volume.
