Pretty impressive coming from a note 7. I work in a building with spotty coverage and I'm on wifi most of the day. That screenshot is from 5am on the 10-20 to 5am on 10-21.

Yikes. My Exynos S7 Edge can get near 6hrs SOT in a 24 hour period.
Here's mine over 20 hours:
Lots of browsing, several calls, reddit via Sync for Reddit, some YouTube videos, setting up my apps, etc.

That's extremely impressive. Google feed, voice assistant, always on voice, Google location and and high accuracy??? It seems with that good of a battery sot you might have a lot of that disabled.

Everything on actually. Haven't turned off anything yet as I'm testing all the features of the phone. It's worth mentioning I had decent reception here, but overall with the same usage pattern I would have gotten half the SOT or even less on my 6P.
Brightness was on adaptive and set at 1/3 of the slider.

Thanks for the reply. I'm at 80% with 1:04 SOT on my small pixel. Not as good for sure. I'll have my XL Monday and I'm sure I'll be happier with that one. Otherwise it's back to my exynos edge.

Google services.
This has been draining my battery a lot. Did all the trouble shooting like clearing data in google play services, google play store, updating to the latest security patch, updated all apps, i went ahead and and did a FDR too, but still no avail. I got in touch with google, the representatives state that this is normal. This is really disappointing. I dont wanna install any custom rom or kernel since that is what i normally first do when i get a nexus , this being a pixel i wanna leave it stock. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

Yeah but for 68 hours those blue stripes aren't bad. If it was 16h and it looked like that then that would suck.

What's your take on the One X versus the Galaxy Nexus since you have both?
some of us actually work for a living, and spending my time playing with my phone isn't what i get paid to do. some of us actually use the device for phone calls and texting for a large part of the day.
i have several desktops at home, a tablet w/ a keyboard dock...not really a need to surf on a 4.6 inch screen when i'm at home.
finally, this thread is about standby battery runtime.
i have also tested how much can i actively use my phone before it runs out of juice, and that is about 1d16h with 3h40 screen on. you've made me go offtopic.
for me, there should be only one thread about these things, where people actually post collected data about consumed voltages, wakelocks, idle drain. it proves the system+customizations+user installed apps is stable enough at one point in time. and OP has a lot of stuff on background sync. indeed impressive.

The screen, camera and performance are far superior. However, everything else is better on the Nexus.

Hello all!
I'm a brand new and happy user of the galaxy Nexus. Bought it two days ago and of course I started to play around with it quite a lot.
It was not new but it was used rarely, especially in the past 3 months. The phone itself is five months old.
I am just wondering if it is normal that the battery drains so quickly. Considering the fact that as a new toy i am using it quite strongly I still find it too fast eating the power.
The other thing is that could be in relation with this is that I think it is very strange seeing that something keep waking up my phone when it should be sleeping.
Let me attach a screenshot about battery stats. Please ignore and forgive it that it is in hungarian. The important thing is still visible.
What shall I do?
Thanks in advance!

How much screen-on time? With crappy signal and a LOT of awake time, I'm not surprised at all by 15hrs of total time.
You have an app (or a few) keeping your phone awake quite often. That alone will drain the battery. Try something like "Better Battery Stats" to see whats keeping the phone awake.
Yeah I forgot to mention that I had very bad reception for that time in the mountains. Screen on time was around 45 minutes - one hour.
How shall I look for apps not letting my phone going to sleep? Any free subsidiary for Betterbattery?

If your getting bad signal I suggest turning off your sync unless you need it, most of the time battery life is a result of the user or the apps they use better battery stats is a good app to find out what apps are keeping your phone from sleeping, also just a tip posting about battery life can get nasty responses good luck man

Judging by the wake bar, go to Latitude and in Location Settings sign out of Latitude. Google Now still works and you won't get your device constantly updating your position while screen off. I believe when you turn on Google Now it automatically signs you into Latitude as well.

Ok now I am quite sure that it's the wifi that keeps waking up the device. After testing two days with wifi on and yesterday with wifi turned off it seems obvious.
I also find another topic where an other guy found the same answer... Very strange and very annoying.

I think the betterbatterystats is the best way to go as mentioned earlier. You might find that it's an app that is calling the wifi connection that causes wifi to appear neat the top of your stats at present.

I upgraded from the Note 2 four days ago. I wanted to go through a few charge cycles before contemplating a return. I'm just about ready to pull the trigger and take the G3 back. The battery life has been horrid. Less than 3 hours SOT with phone losing juice in 8 hours. This is light to moderate use. Mostly browsing and inet radio.
With My Note 2 and SlimKat, I'd get 5-6 hours SOT and a 24+ hour charge with the slim kernel and 2 year old stock battery. Stand-by time was a wondrous 3+ days. The G3 has just lost 6% charge in 40 minutes of just browsing on wifi. I could see that happening with iffy LTE but wifi? Frustrating to say the least.
Sad because I love this phone for a variety of reasons. This phone maintains a phenomenal signal when compared to my Note 2. It's hard to keep a signal in my workplace but this phone pulls it off fulltime. This is my first LG and love their version of Android in comparison to TW. I'm finished with Samsung phones and this seemed like a worthy alternative. I'll give it to Samsung, though. The Note 2 was a masterpiece.
Rooted/Xposed otherwise stock.

On pace for over 8 hours SOT. This phone is a beast!
I had a much better one two days ago, but I didn't get a screen shot.
I average well over a full work day with more than 7+ hours of SOT.
I don't use a dark theme, but it's not a bright theme either. No power save use ever. I use bluetooth and headphones to listen to music throughout the day. Plenty of web surfing and media related tasks. I don't play games.
I believe I get better battery performance following charging via wireless instead of the Rapid Charger. It's just been my overall experience so far.

This version of the Note has me the most disappointed. I got less than 12 hours of use out of the phone, with it in ultra power saving mode for more that 50% of that time, just texting. I had my Note 4 with me as well, using that to listen to music, watch Netflix, and read on the Nook app, with wi-fi turned on but no cellular, bluetooth, or gps turned on, but I had over 50% battery left when the Note 5 died.
Battery life is great on this thing.

My battery has been good but not great and I think I know why. For some reason my Android System always seems to be whats eating up the most battery so I took a look at the running apps and found the following. Doing a little research before I disable them. AT&T never actually stopped using Carrier IQ. They were just doing a better job hiding it (or getting the phone manufacturer to bury it so deep that it's nearly impossible to remove.)
FML and I can't root my phone and get rid of it.. IT's causing my Android System to go nuts and always consume the most battery... This is disappointing.

AT&T has a 14 day return policy. If you are still within it, why not return the phone and get something else?
Yeah I'm within the 14 day return policy but nothing on the market is better than the Note 5 in terms of overall package. Guess I'll just ride it out. I like the Note 5 a lot and I guess if I can get a full day of use that's good enough.. Plus Marshmallow should fix a lot of issues that plague Lollipop. Here's to hoping we actually see M before the Note 6 is released..

Samsung isn't terrible when it comes to updating. Especially when you consider the amount of work involved in getting TW ported, and the high number of devices they have.
AT&T, on the other hand, might not accept that update from Samsung until 2017 or later.
I'm very serious when I say that if you keep this phone, accept it how it is today. Assume no bug fixes, no updates and no root. This way, you're prepared for one possible outcome and can only be pleasantly surprised.
(Yes, I'm having to do the same math. You can't imagine how hard it is for me to accept a phone with no root... but it's a good device...)

I can agree with draining but not with the heat honestly. Since I just do social media often.
I have seen a few reports that Android Auto started working for some users with the Feb update.
Can't say that I've noticed poor battery performance, but that's not to say that it isn't legit.
Overall, feels like the same device I had running the January image, nothing says WOW...
Actually for me, the battery has been better.
I think so Battery its better with the update on My pixel..
The biggest thing for me was the bluetooth connection in may car. I have an LG Watch sport connected to my phone all the time. Before the update, it was like the watch didn't want to let go of the phone, and it would not automatically connect to the car when I got in. I would have to go into the phone, and manually select the car to connect. Then I would have to wait a minute or more before I could play music or make a phone call or the car would tell me it was searching for a phone to connect to, even though the BT light was on indicating a device was connected. The first time I got in my car, after flashing the February update, after I started the car, my phone immediately connected to the car, and Android Auto fired up just like it is supposed to. I was able to listen to music, and make phone calls right away. It has happened like that ever since. I'm so very happy that it works like it's supposed to now. As for battery, it's still great. My 2 XL has always had killer battery life. I can go about a day and a half on one charge. A couple weeks ago, I took a Friday off from work, and was busy moving, so I didn't use my phone a whole lot. I took it off the charge on Friday morning about 8:00 am, and I didn't have to charge it until Sunday around lunch time.
Okay, I'll keep watching my battery... Maybe it was a random temporary decline... Your experiences sound good
When I do these updates, I usually clear the cache for Play services and Google services framework. Maybe it's the flashaholic side of me that always wants to clean flash everything...
Hmmm, I will try now from 100-20%~
Have you guys tried recalibrating the battery? Since a lot of these battery issues people complain about are right after updates. Haven't updated to Feb patch yet tho so I can't comment on battery life.
Just tried 100 to 3% and I would say its been better, Usually I barley came up to 6h and now its 6h and 44 min!
Here below is my apps:
I think battery is excellent, if it wasn't for Maps I know I can get more out of it:
