[Q] Flashtool Error - Error Flashing. Aborted

I use SP acro s before this case.
I Flash with wrong firmware(with LT26i) and after that,
when I flash again it's be below.

Have you made it think it's now an xperia S so it needs those drivers installed too?

I am facing exact same problem with neo v. I want to go back to GB from ICS. My bootloader is unlocked, is that the problem??

ah nevermind, sorry, i didn't see you're having more than just an aborted flash problem....

Install drivers. Install them from Flashtool drivers folder.

EDIT: The green LED for flashmode now appears, though it will not flash anything, it keeps aborting. I cannot get the fastboot driver to install. I used Gordon Gate and SUS and Windows devices manager does not show it.

You're welcome.

Flash a new kernel in fastboot,and after that try flashing the ROM in flashmode.

Just disable the simlock.ta file bro exclude it that will work fine because we dont have simillar carriers and most often the FTF files that are uploaded have simlock on them just exclude and you're good to go

Tablet Z software update error
Hi,
I'm trying to flash a firmware that I got from Xperifirm and the process keeps coming up with an error. The tablet won't boot beyond the Sony logo and a message telling me that there was a software update error and that I should reconnect the device to a computer and try again. All drivers are installed and I'm using a firmware that's designed for my tablet and my region. Please help.

I am having this exact issue with my Z3 Tablet Compact. The odd thing is nothing has changed since i flashed .726 onto it a few weeks ago.
Tried reinstalling drivers, different USB ports, different USB cables, re downloading the firmware.
My only saving grace is that the tablet boots into its existing firmware no problem.

I was able to recover from the first issue in PC Companion. I wasn't doing the repair steps properly so I ended up trying again and it worked. But, I got adventurous again and now I'm stuck and the repair through PC Companion won't even work.

My xperia z1 c was working fine until i mistakenly flashed custom Kernel with flashtool, and after that it's stuck on SONY Logo and nothing else, as far as i know my bootloader status is Unlock Bootloader Allower:NO, now i tried many times to flash with flashtool but process always aborted. reviving this long dead thread in the hope that flashtool may one day get fixed, when its bombing at amss_fsg the problem is its upgrading the device too far if that makes sense, for example on an xperia sp on 4.1.2 you can flash 12.0.A.1.X firmwares with no problem at all, but try a 12.1.A.1.x and itll bomb at amss_fsg every time. its definitely not the ftf files at fault as it has been tested by me with the same result on at least 5 devices (tablet z, tablet z2, xperia sp, z2, z1 compact) also if you OTA the device up to the newer version it will flash perfectly fine, it seems flashtool takes issue with major version upgrades

Don't know what the problem is exactly but we all end somehow with this problem. I tested for a week different Stock FTFs on my Z1 and I was able to flash 5.1.1 with the latest firmware and then go back to 4.3 without problem, than confident to do what ever I can, I tested CM11,worst Rom ever, then updated to CM12 (5.1.1), done, I cannot flash anymore, even with Unlocked Bootlader, not even from Recovery, now I have the same problem with flashtool, ERROR! ABORTED
I think this is related to the room and how they set up the partition or Custom kernel, but they really mess up on CM11 or CM12.
so...still testing and hope to go back to STOCK. If any have an idea are welcome to give me a tip for the solution. Thankx.

Maybe your firmware file is corrupt,

Have you tried the reset button hidden under the sim flap?

Try to re-download your firmware and then flash again via flashtool. kernel is installed, should not be a problem. Only your system file is corrupted -> not bricked.

The Firmware that i downloaded is corrupted, so i decided to download the new firmware of lollipop and now my phone is working. thanks to your helps...

Sony logo boot loop

Hi,
Unlocked via Sony website which seemed to go fine but on rebooting I'm in a constant boot loop. Tried flashing stock D2305_18.0.A.1.30_Global Generic by Sai Arkar.ftf and C2004_15.5.A.1.5_Customized_BR_1274-5443_R3C.ftf. Both flashed fine but have not resolved the problem.
Can anyone help please?

you need to wipe data after unlock bootloader actions , try to tick wipe data on flashtool when you flash ftf file

Yeah,,just a single SIM one. Which is the correct ftf for this device? Sorry as it's not my phone so don't know much about xperia devices

there is Sony D2305 is right ftf file from your phone. try to flash that with wipe user data and cache. and let's see what happen

did you see different from your firmware with your type from your phone? you're flashing for d2305 but your phone is 2303 right? try to redownload same firmware for your type phone and flash it with flashtool again.

Xperia ZL sony logo bootloop help!!!

I installed cm13 nightly update and then it stuck on optimizing app and keep reboot, so i boot into twrp recovery to wipe cache and data i also boot into cyonagenmod recovery to wipe cache and data. (IDK why i have two recovery i can access cyanogenmod recovery by pressing volume down button and twrp by pressing up button). After wiping the cache and data my phone stuck in the boot loop it only shown the sony logo then keep on restart until the battery is drain up. I have done all the possible solution but none of these works, i tried flash tft using flashtool (already tried multiple tft file), boot into twrp wipe everything cache, data, format, factory reset and restore my twrp backup( one weird thing is i can only boot into recovery mode when the battery is less than 5% and connect to the charger). Tried EMMC and xperia companion ( cannot be use because of unknown device blah blah). I can enter both fastboot and flashboot mode, i am sure its not because of the hardware issue. Can anyone pls help me ~~~ any help will be appreciated.:angel::angel::angel::crying::crying::crying: here is the flash tool log.

Phone not booting after trying downgrading-Sony M5

Hi Friends, I was trying to downgrade the sony m5 to lolipop and after flashing the andorid lolipop my device is not at all booting,
Flashtool is now showing Drivers need to be installed for connected device and device is showing as unkown device.
Please suggest me what to do.

Based off this line " No flash script found. Using 0.9.18 flash engine"
You do not have the fsc script and this could be because you
1. deleted it
2. because its an older version of flahtool
3. you flashed it when the fsc wasnt working
What date did you flash it?

I did this Yesterday and now I noticed that I flashed wrong firmware of different model.
Is there any way to repair it

I just seen that too. If its only response is a red light and pc shows it as COM3 or something then so far no, only repair centre

I have talked to repair center they said that they can repair it and I have sent my device for diagnosis IF they will be able to repair it via some software repair it will be very helpful otherwise I have received a call from a person from a gaffar market (very big mobile repair market in India) and he said he can repair it via software and chance of passing are 99%.
Do you know is it possible or he just want to extract money from me

As I said before if there is no response except a red light you will need a new pcb, but I'm sure there is a way to restore it but I think you need to pull the phone apart or if someone can figure it out with one of the flash tools on the Internet, and I don't know these markets very well and what kind of people are there so that's for you to decide

Thanks a lot but just for your information after flashing the wrong firmware flashtool is detecting my phone and just showing this error : Drivers needs to be installed for this device, maybe it is just a soft brick (hopefully).
Can you tell is it hard brick or soft brick because I was watching some video on youtube and they are saying If the usb is getting recognized the device can be bring back to life using SP flash tool.
Do you have any idea for that sir

If you can put it into flashmode or fastboot and if it shows the Sony logo it's a soft brick but if the only thing that it can do is show a red led then it is hard bricked. Unfortunately I don't know what to do with sp flashtool

Still no known solution? I have the same issue...
Has anyone tried to send it to Sony? Did they charge for the repair?
I got my E5663 from a USA seller, but I suspect it was a phone made for the Indian market. Does anyone know where the phone can be sent to in India for repair...?
