Flashable zip for Navbar Tuner - Nexus 5X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all developers,
I found this thread in the Nexus 6P forum and I would like to use this on my Nexus 5X as well. Unfortunately I have never decompiled an app (especially no system app) and recompiled it successfully. Is anyone out there who can create a flashable zip with the instructions from post one and two? Would made things much easier for me. Thank you for your help.
Greetings, Cilenco

battery percentage

Is there any way to add battery percentage on top? Like this ..http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1304375
That is no problem, just received my GN adn I will soon work on it. If ICS is not completely different, it`s fairly easy.
Sounds good. The only thing i'm missing (maybe also Extended Power Menu).
Don't understand why Google does not integrate Battery Percentage as standard.

Perka, thanks so much for doing this. It's really useful.
Could someone help me make sense of how to install this? If I'm running the stock ROM, I gather I need the files in "Stock_SystemUI_framework-res_GN_Deodex_ICS.ITL41F-CWM," but then what do I _do_ with the files here? (I see apks I could install, but then there are other files too...)
Also, Perka, you mention a link in your sig to a new version with larger icons, but I can't figure out what link in your signature it would be -- I'm guessing it should be at the "Perka´s File Stash" link, but there doesn't seem to be a link there. (And the other lines in your signature don't seem relevant.)
Thanks!

Heres the tread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1375515
but u need to flash a deodexed rom first, this seems like a good option http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1372376
You cant flash my mod on stock odex rom, and the stock files you have on your sd card so u can flash back if something happens or u dont like the mod.

Well... that "text notification" on the lock screen is Missed It! from the Market. The user is using that in conjunction with Widget Locker. For mClock, make sure you are extracting the .zip file and then only placing that folder in the mClock folder in /sdcard/mClock/FolderName. (i.e., not the zip, just the extracted contents).
thank you very much !!!

ignore this.......

Nexus 5 Sounds (Ringtones,Notifications,Alarms, UI)

Not really sure where to put this but found this earlier and thought some of you may enjoy this.
Simply extract files and move them to the appropriate directory located at "system/media/audio/" using Root Explorer or your favorite file manager and reboot.
Note: For UI Sounds you may need to rename if you want to use them as a Touchwiz Sound...haven't really messed with that yet.
Enjoy!

It would go in Themes and Apps
Moved it for you
Good sounds, I might use them to replace some of the Samsung sounds. For some reason I thought these were pulled from a samsung rom. Lack of sleep..... Lol.

But it certainly is a component of themeing to add sounds as much as adding wallpaper would be to backgrounds.
SORRY wrong post.
Read-only file system error
Thanks a lot! I've been looking for these directions for a while.
However, when I tried I get an error that reads: "/system/media/audio/soundfile.ogg(1): open failed: EROFS (Read-only file system)".
Is there anyway around this? Thanks for your help in advance.
do i need to root my phone for this???
Thank you, I just added these to my Google Pixel as the default system sounds are pretty dire.
Anyone know where I can get all the Nexus 5X or 6P system sounds? (Or maybe someone with root would be so kind as to upload them).
Thanks again.
Thanx dear...
Nice! Thanks for sharing
Nexus 5 had some good sounds, glad i can equip my new phone with some good ol tunes
!!!
GOD BLESS YOU MAN !!!
Thank you so much. I've been looking for this all over the internet

[MOD] Recovery BUMP! Mobile

Hi.
In short
Now when we can unpack and repack images with our devices - thank to @osm0sis.
Now when we have awesome themes for our twrp recoveries - thank to @z31s1g.
We need to have a chance to BUMP! recovery images with our devices too
This was the only reason why i little bit modified Sharpening Mod Script v. 3.0 by @Skin1980. Thank you for this MOD and for permission to share my MOD with others.
Using:
Notice: At this moment this MOD works only with @blastagator's recoveries -thank you.
Unpack your recovery image, do changes which you want and repack image.
Always put your repacked image to:
Code:
/sdcard/TWRP
directory.
The file has to have this specific name assigned: "recovery.img" without quotes. You can always easily rename it in recovery. Then simply run the MOD in recovery. You can BUMP and save (same directory) or BUMP and FLASH (Image is not saved!)
Further thanks go to:
Team Codefire
TWRP Team
@cybojenix
@Cloudyfa -Thank you for permission
@dorimanx

Because of bump, I can use the KK base band with vanir lollipop. That's the benefit of bump. But if you have no use for it and have to ask, you probably don't need it

[RECOVERY] TWRP 3.1.1-0 Unofficial

I got bored, so I decided to build the latest TWRP. Big thanks to @negamann303 for his source. I only made minor, mostly theme related, tweaks to it. The only non-theme related tweak that I can remember is that I enabled the flag that enables taking advantage of NEON, so that might result in some speed increases, but I haven't done any tests to confirm that.
Q: Sweet! Does ADB backup work?
A: No. Sorry. If you know how to make it work, please let me know and I will implement it.
Q: Oh. So this is basically the same as the previous version?
A: Pretty much. I imagine it supports a whole bunch of new things that our watch isn't capable of, but who cares. It also features the nag screen that asks if you want to install the official TWRP app, which is useless in this case. You can tell it to stop though.
Q:So why should I bother with this?
A: Because you're a flashaholic that needs to have the latest and greatest thing. Duh.

1st of all: Thank you soo much!!!!
How could I theme this?
(also you only build it with a local manifest or do you also have a git, which I could fork for theme testing?)

Sources are posted in the OP. Help yourself. I don't know much about TWRP theming, but I do know that the files you want to modify are found in device/huawei/sturgeon/watch_mdpi. This is the folder that was modified by @negamann303, and by myself to a lesser extent, to get the theme that you see in the version that I built. There is also a watch_mdpi folder in the TWRP source somewhere that contains the default watch theme. TWRP is also capable of themes that can be applied post-build so you don't have to build a new one every time you want it to look different, but I don't know anything about how to make that happen. Search XDA for flashable TWRP themes for examples, but make sure they're for 3.1.0. The theme template has changed a bit from previous versions. Hope that helps!

@TheSt33v Sorry mate, for the late response. As promised here my theme (Just a WIP, I used a template for the filestructure etc.)
This saves me time from having to do it myself, I can look into removing the nag screen if you haven't figured it out yet

I forgot it was even there, so I wasn't looking into it. Once you disable it the first time, it's gone for good unless you wipe the device. Let me know if you figure out how to get rid of it though. I'm surprised there isn't just a flag to enable.
Thx, worked as expected and the good thing is : sideload don't must be fall back to the old protocol

Same as with a phone. Extract the .img file from the zip attached to the post, boot watch in bootloader mode, plug into computer, fastboot flash recovery [path to twrp image file].
