Why on Earth should carry obsolete microUSB cables around me (in addition to USB type C cable I use with my htc 10)..?
For those rare cases I may encounter those obsolete microUSB female jacks in old devices - I had purchased the above mentioned interface.. it's small, quality and cute; it occupies no space in my backpack..
P.S. I happily donated all those microUSB cables to the Needy who still may use obsolete type of appliances..

Then why are you downgrading your operation by shifting to microUSB cables which is already proved of being a crap standard - instead of sticking to USB type C cables - as it is in my case ?????

Cos some people have spent good money on good quality cables (2m) but they can't no more so they can buy a converter.

Let us know it they are an actual 6ft if you remember.
Good find. I bought the 3 feet micro usb cables from them and they work great.
There is no need to buy more than one hdmi cable unless you have more than one Evo. Not many devices uses those kind of micro hdmi plugs.
Are cords created equally? Reason I ask is because I ordered one from protechgroup. I needed an extra long one and they had a nice price on a 15". Anyone cared to opine?
-mobile superinformation highway surfing 8)
let me know the quality, I might order some myself.
Quality seems fine. Goldplated on both ends. At first I thought it charged slow but that was me being on it. We'll see

I ordered one from meritline before when it was on sale. This seems like the same cable. It works fine for charging wise but doesn't seem to do data. Keeps showing up on the computer as unrecognized device but with the htc cables and the one I had for the moto droid it works fine. Didn't mind much I use it now as an extra charging cable I only paid 1 dollar and free shipping when I had ordered it.

Actually, thanks god Sony didn't use proprietary charging connector like Apple did. Since they like to have their own formats.

O hate micro usb because no matter how careful I am with the cable I always tend to break it. I why oh why can't phone manufacturers use the more durable mini usb?!?!

Have you every did a proper controlled test to find out? The proprietary cable just make it harder to find and is made of a lousier quality material than what my Xplay came with. Have a couple of these usb cables at home and it exposes the insides easily.

Sorry if wrong section. I'm not really sure where to put this..
Have you checked your local Radio Shack? Or you can search online, places like Mousse Electronics have all kinds of connectors. Hope this helps you.
The all powerful ebay has it all with free shipping from china

If you don't need it as an SMD part to solder it onto a PCB, the easier task could be to get a cable, cut it through, and connect the wires (to wherever they are supposed to connect to).
I think you can't..maybe in electronic store you can
You might try digikey:

It's a Jig for a bricked Samsung Captivate. I only had one cord so I didn't want to cut into it.
But thank you all for your suggestions! I ordered just a normal cable and I'm going to cut away at the plastic.
The best source for cheap cables is monoprice.com
You can get micro USB cables in a variety of lengths for about a dollar each. Whenever I order from them, I just buy an assortment of cables that may come in handy (USB, hdmi, audio, etc) because shipping is more expensive than the cables themselves.

Get tronsmart 4 port car charger before, like their quality, find this news from their official site, looks like an interesting accessories for opt2.
if you already reserve the opt2, you can ask them for a free sample, they offer 100pcs free sample for the opt 2 users.
PS: It's a shame that oneplus two don't support qualcomm quick charge.

Hang on. You are saying that you think we should get a quick charge charger for a phone that does not accept quick charge? I'm not sure I'm following why we should... I have a USB Type C cable that I got with my macbook, and I also have a USB Type C to C cable. I'm not going to be buying any more, because two is more than enough.

NO,i am not talking we can get the quick charge just with this accessories, i wish we could, lol.
I just like this design, don't need to buy so many type c cables, also tronsmart said this car charger support quick charge 2.0, so we can charge type c device, quick charge device together in the car.
and like tronsmart said, in near future, there will be more and more device support qc2.0 and use type c port (again,i don't understand why OP2 don't support QC2.0), this design will be the winner then. From Qualcomm site, Seems they have approved LeTV One Max, LeTV One Pro, so qualcomm welcome that design. type c + quick charge 2.0.
hope to see some reviews on this type c car charger with quick charge.
Hi,
My Samsung and apple usb chargers are absolute crap so I was looking at these new Nylon braided USB cables which are:
- at least 2x in length;
- much more durable;
- boast that they charge and sync at 2.4A which is significantly higher than the stock samsung and apple chargers.
Pretty sure you can buy reversible and micro USB cables also.
Has anyone had experience with these?
Here's an example product I found which seems great in value and holds the above specs:

my Samsung and apple usb chargers are absolute crap
I use a samsung 2 Amp charger, which has a usb socket in it – for charging my table and/or mobile phone. What do you mean crap? I haven't had one fail, and works as expected. So is this thread relating to the charger itself? Or relating to usb cables? For my charger, the charger has a usb socket – so you could put whatever kind of cable you want on it.
DO ...NOT ...BUY
I have had several ...
1. The contact is poorly molded. The micro-usb contact will soon pop out of the mold and break off.
2. The sleeve does nothing at all. It just looks cool.. the poor way the cable and contacts is molded it does not make the cable stronger.
3. Even how much the information emphasize that the cable can transfer more amperes this is not the case... All sleeve kind of usb cables I have had stalled at about 450mAh.
The best cables are the one that is not fitted with "bling bling" all around or brag about its quality.
I recommend you to instead buy a classic cable http://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=103&cp_id=10303&cs_id=1030307&p_id=5458&seq=1&format=2
This has:
Ferrite Core. Most people doesn't know what this round brick around the cable does anyway..
28/24AWG ..you can bend it all you want. It won't break. Also allow for more current to pass.
Gold plated. Does nothing but looks good..it will scratch off after a month from inserting and removing.
Note: The cables from monoprice isn't something special. They are only a retailer. The cables are manufactured in china.
It is a very nice usb cable. I had it for days and still works great.
