I recently upgrade my telus htc diamond's rom to 1.10.661.41 http://www.htc.com/ca/SupportDownloa...at=2&dl_id=446 and now my gps does not work. i had no issues prior to the upgrade and any help would be appreciated.
i also applied a hotfix http://www.htc.com/www/SupportViewNe...69&news_id=164 that did not resolve the issue.
if i can be directed to the previous rom version (not which version i had previously) i'll be more than happy to switch back. or is there a custom rom i can apply to resolve the issue?
THANKS!
Hi all,
I've tried some rom and flash, and sometime i meet this probleme :
- get no or worse signal
- missed calls or dropped calls
- seems to get no 2g signal
Result => my phone became a pocket android....without gsm fonction...
Manytime i've saw other member met this problem....
So after many attemp, remplacing radio file in folder system/etc/motorola/bp_nvm_default has solved my problem for theses rom :
- Rooted and not froyo chinese rom
- JBoojie Eclair or Froyo (actually running)
- Milestone 2
- etc...
It work for me, so try it !
I've made a zip upgrade via Recovery mode with my working radio file (comes from original EU Eclair rom v2.34)
Please feeback
PS : i was using this source http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1596785
EDIT : fix confirmed by EU users
I'll try....
as I havn't found the file you providing here, I've got a question: Where are the radiofiles from (US ROM, Netherlands ROM....) ???
I've got the China 2.2 ROM running here, and I've made a file check. 4 of those 14 files are different to your files, but NOT by filesize.
Those files are:
File_Audio2
File_Audio8
File_GSM
File_Seem_Flex_Tables
I'm going to get those files from a 2.34 Central Europ ROM also to make this check again... stay tuned
Edit: those 2.34 Files exactly match your files.
Yes i've use 2.34, it has solve all my worse signal issue with many rom.
It could work only with my french operator, i don't know if it's needed for all ?
Also, try this if you are european user and if you meet signal problm after installing new modified froyo rom, it work for me.

Did the ItfunzBaseBandSwitcher.apk alone not help improving your signal?

It seems like that is only a display iussue. For me it always show "3G", instead of "H" but when I use *#*#4636#*#* it shows either UMTS or HSPA depending if the telephone uses HSPA or not.
Thanks man!!!
it works perfectly for Vodafone Germany with Orange Deblur BlurlessGingerFroyo 4(Final) Rom!!!

Hello all,
Its a personal clarification with you experts.
I had bought my WFS in INDIA ( which had Indian RUU 2.13.720.1 ) , Then I moved to France, and rooted my phone with European RUU., 2.13.401.3. as you know both have different radio versions.
And I opted for then's CM7 . and used for about 8 months - with no problem at all. now in Feb 2013, I returned to India and had some free time so explored all the other CM based ROMS.
And the problem started then..
Specially with CM 9 and +... I am having only data connectivity issues, rest all its flawless even GSM calls are very good..But Every 2-3 mins data gets "hanged", is it because I have wrong radio version ? Or is it in ROM?
Since I am traveler mobile-data is very important for me. and in ur latest rom I haven't seen anyone pointing to data problem.
So I am curious to know whether its only me who is facing this problem or is it generic. ?

I have fully converted my T-Mobile M8, including the MID/CID number. But i have a few concerns. First, the signal on my M8 was better on the sense version of my M8, but when i did the stock non rooted version of this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708589, i started to notice i have weaker signal strength then i did on the sense rom version that wasnt rooted. Secondly, i know that since i converted and changed my CID and MID number i can receive OTA updates, I.E. Lollipop, but i have heard that google has changed things in this new version of android, as stated in my post here http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-htc-one-m8/general/look-devs-t2939491, that i was wondering would it make it difficult for anyone having GPE converted devices to be able to upgrade to Lollipop without issues, and revert back to stock if they wanted to after those changes take place ? And the last thing i wanted to know is would the lollipop update from HTC include a updated radio, and if so would it fix these signal issues with my device ? Please let me know !
Hello everyone
I've been battling with this issue for over a month now. I recently flashed CM12.1 / AICP 10.0 on my GTI9190 serrano3gxx and while they are beautiful ROMs, one problem arose. My mobile data doesn't seem to connect at all. WIFI, SMS and calls work without a hitch. I have tried all possible APN's for my carrier (Vodacom ZA) nothing worked. When I reverted back to my NAND backup of the stock ROM the mobile data was offline as well. Which makes no sense to me because it used to work fine in that configuration. This at least gave me the conclusion that the problem isn't ROM related, but then what?
Pretty much where I am now is I'm downloading an update for my firmware. I found a list on http://www.sammobile.com.
Original firmware: South Africa XFA I9190XXUBNA1 (Release date: 25-02-14 Version: 4.2.2)
Now downloading: South Africa XFE I9190XXUCOD2 (Release date: 01-07-15 Version 4.4.2)
Does this seem like the right path to take? I'm really struggling to find ANY sufficient information on the matter for my specific model s4 mini. Almost no information about firmware updates or anything on XDA. I'm not even sure of the risks from doing this firmware update. Will I still be able to run CM12.1 or AICP 10.0 etc? Will I be able to revert back to an older firmware version if this fails? (I'm leaning toward no)
All I want is for my mobile data to work again and this is the only sort of sensible option I've come across, however limited the information on it has been.
ANY help would be much appreciated. :good:
Update on this:
I first isolated the modem and tried flashing that (three times as recommended) Didn't work.
I then flashed the new firmware, which also didn't work. I'm now on new firmware and have tried different modems, nothing works.
Like what, is it actually possible to just "break" your modem? I'm starting to lose faith here.
[SOLVED. Seems like it was Vodacom denying me access somehow for whatever reason. Had to get a new SIM. Sigh. All that hassle.]
