Hi,
I'm searching to understand the quality of my battery since I'm ready / open to change it, if necessary, but despite many site saying that I can use the secret code : *#*#4636#*#* to see my battery status, this is not a menu item for me.
I do see, the phone infos + the stats + the wifi info, but not the battery one.
And I have not seen anby other code to access this.
Anybody would know how to get this info ?
Kind regards.
Julien
test *#*#7378423#*#* or use diagnostics and press thank's for help
Hi I tried that but I do not see any menu or sub menu related to the battery.

yes just *#*#7378423#*#* > service info > factory charging ! sorry
test this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gombosdev.ampere&hl=fr
Thank you. This is working but was not answering to my battery health question. The app you suggested looks to be doing what I am expecting. So I will use and check my battery.
I am pretty sure this is good enough and solving my issue.
Thanks a lot.

Why you want to do that? Oh, you just want to ... hehe...
You need a SD Card with the HTC diagnostic program loaded onto it. Page 45 of the HTC Service Manual on the ftp. Do let me know if you get hold of that diagnostic program.

There is no body know where HTC diagnostic tool?
I have read most of the thread here since I joined. I do hope I am wrong because just like all of you, I too would like to reset the call timers on my Universal. But here is the sad news to all of you, I had never read anything about any program that can reset the timers on our Universal. As a matter of fact, this has been discussed a VERY LONG TIME AGO ALREADY. It always ended up without any solution.
If you don't believe me. Here is a quick list of some of the threads: http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=241631 A solution was suggested by dreamtheater39 though. If it works, I don't know.
Plus I think HTC made the Universal this way so anyone would know if he or she is buying a legitimate BRAND NEW PHONE and not a tampered one CLAIMING it is brand new. Which I highly approve, if this was their rationale for not allowing access to the user.

Where HTC diagnostic tool???
I search diagnostic tool, but not find. Please share!!!! Good luck
Can people please stop using l33t !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One exclamation mark is enough.
I don't get this: the solution is already posted by pof, to use the [email protected] commands. You can do this without going into the bootloader with the right tools.
The diagnostic tool doesn't appear to do a lot that is worth using !!!!!!!!!!!!!! for.

On my profile I want my location to show up...how do I do this?? Not a noob when it comes to forums but I have looked all over! Tried searching but my terms were too generic no matter what I put in (plus I'm lazy). Can anyone help me with this?
There still seems to be a bug in the forum software. Normally you should be able to configure this in your UserCP (User Control Panel), but the menu entry for this group of settings does not show up anymore.
But you can use this link directly in order to adapt your settings.

you are abusing others will and ability to help
the fact that you are lazy isn't justifying that
in few last days there were about 6 threads about changing location
so get your lazy ass up and read
Whatever dude, I looked and did search. Maybe they should fix this bug and no one would have to ask. Oh and thank you Foo.

This makes people (like me) very curious:
What does it do?
Are you guys sure this is a bad thing? Because if I look here...
Galaxy Essentials - Android Wiki
It states it just displays the battery information... I won't try it though...
Best regards,
Tom
It opens a Testing Menu containing Phone information and Battery Information. Safe, unless you try to mess with the settings.
Yeah I can vouch for that. All it does is show you the phone information and battery information. Not much of a secret really...kinda useless.
If you want to know how these codes actually work you should check this out : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540483&highlight=secret
Hello, im the developer of Root Call Blocker, an advanced call and SMS blocking app for rooted phones.
The app is currently in open beta here at XDA:

Update to the latest version - yours is over 2 weeks old!
People, I could really use some feedback, as we have been working hard at solving outstanding issues on galaxy s phones.
Are sms replies blocked properly? Does the new logging method work?
Works.
But the calling person hears a spilt second tone on both reject & alternate reject. Need to work on that.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
You announced , you need testers for Root Call Blocker. OK, but i will apk in your thread, i really dont wont (and i cannot on my croatian region download your apk) go on Android market for downloading and testing. Can you put apk on your first post ???
Thanks
Regards
its was great, used it and my beta expired.
i really need the beta to not expire, this has the exact functionality i need.
can u provide a non expiring beta for now im in real pain !
I could provide many things, and provide them i do.
How about a pretty please in return?
Updated, let me know if your issues are fixed please!
I was in the states and it worked fine on atrix there, thanks, saved me from the old ball and chain!
How is the new update - it should have fixed outstanding issues on the galaxy phones.
Work very well on SGS with firmware and others in signature, i cannot hear any ring if numer is blocked.....
Regards
Good to know, thanks!
Hi, sorry, but this is a translation of google translator.
To begin the work I want to thank you and tell you that the program is fantastic.
Now I mention a problem I have since version .09 to .11
I have a Galaxy_S with Darky 9.5 ROM.
When you check the "Start service on boot" and restart the terminal, marking is not maintained and I have to tick the option "Enable bloquing call" every time you reboot the phone and not being able to start the service itself.
Thanks again and best regards.
Works great on 2.3.3. Thanks a lot! =)

Well I tried the App yesterday, but I am not at all impressed with it, I mean it shouldn't be called Root Call Blocker! I Black listed my own number, and tested, there is still a small Ring coming, so the blocked user will more than easily understand the number is blocked. But in the application comment it was stated that it will be blocked from Network state! Anyway, that didn't happen for me.
It is still the fastest by miles mate! Noone will know youre blocking them - thats just paranoia.
Anyway, network state is defined by the answer to the ring. There is no other way. Even CM blocking works this way.
Hi everyone,
I noticed that there's an additional option in the "Display" menu.
It looks like some random number, which I have no idea what it is. Would hope that someone could provide some answers for me?
It's some ten digit number, I've removed part of it in the attached picture.
Model: A3003
OxygenOS 3.2.6
Strange, i've never seen this... I think you are the first who have this. Maybe somebody can help. Good luck :good:

i contacted OnePlus support, it's due to me selecting English (Singapore). Was advised to change it to English (United States) and it is now showing the correct wordings!

this is the toggle for pocket mode. some people have been seeing these numbers instead of pocket mode. try clearing the cache or rebooting the phone. it should go and pocket mode should come up.
