read carefully, understand & follow
incase something went wrong, for safety precautions, download stock ftf (as per your country) by using xperifirm
follow this thread if on stock firmware : The easiest way to root xperia T2 ultra dual
OR

Overclocking is a bad idea, as it ruins your battery life and CPU. Plus, you need a custom kernel for that.
There is a easy way to root T2, i tested on 5.0 and 5.1 and it works
Follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/a310/general/how-to-remove-replace-kingroot-kinguser-t3308989 only change the command to "sh /storage/emulated/0/mrw/root.sh" and extract the mrw folder into your internal storage
When you have root, test greenify, maybe it can help you. Good luck!
Sorry for my bad english.

Ok, so i wont anymore.
When i using pokemon go, and i press home button, all the icons disappear. Is the ram going down? I mean, is this a ram problem? (too less ram)
Thx

What I have learned is to close all "recent apps" before I use a ram hungry app.
Unfortunately our T2s are crippled with 1gig of ram.
In order to have some control over ram you need to be rooted.
Then there are apps that will allow you to adjust ram settings.
I have tried playing with the stock Sony firmware's memory settings and personally found closing recent apps to be most effective.
Google is your friend in your journey.
If you get stuck just ask here.

Ok, I really should contribute to the community somehow So I decided to fix any little problem in my rom i'm currently using and release it, so people like me, that means people who like clean and tidy ROMs with some extra horsepower under the hood and few tweaks that increases usefulness of their device a bit will have their life a little bit easier because I'll try to implement as much awesomeness without unnecessary bloatware to this ROM and learn a bit about modding in the process
And I proudly present you PowerXperia ROM for Xperia S
It's based on official .45 ROM, with following changes:
StatusBar toggles
Percentage battery mod
^ these two were one mod, p3001ee's statusbarmod with quickpanelsettings.
krabappel2548's XperiaSSpeed Kernel V6 with stock bootlogo and "Xperia" background in recovery
serajr's xperia s customizable home launcher
ROM is debloated and some handy apps are included

This is currently standard recovery flashable ZIP file. If you do not have access to recovery you may want to read this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1793272 there are several ways how to boot into recovery, you may use any method, the recovery will be reflashed anyway. This rom also requires unlocked bootloader.
1) Place installation package anywhere on your internal card.
2) Boot into recovery (usually with pressing vol up button when prompted by kernel)
3) Select install zip from sdcard.
4) Select choose zip from sdcard
5) Find installation package on SD Card and confirm installation
6) Wait until updater finishes his job and wipe cache partition or (optional) perform hard reset.

Good to have another rom... But this is more like a combination of some mods that you have done on your stock rom with krabe's kernel and made it a power rom...
Anyways one new rom for us.. Cheers

exciting stuff!! Btw, is it overclocked by default??
Harsh7689: The point of this ROM is to ease the effort patching it up to others with similar requirements from their device. I've not said that I have done something special, I don't know java and I know very little from bash and other scripting... only thing I've learned up to today is to find a mod, test it and if it works well use it until i find better. This is my little I can do for the community... Maybe I'll learn from this baby-in-sandbox project something that will allow me to do a bit more for community than this... I agree, it's nothing much fancy, but it might help someone, that's why I posted it here.
imrock: It's kernel is krabappel2548's XperiaSSpeed Kernel V6, so yes, it is overclocked by default and can be overclocked up to 1899 MHz, which me personally finds quite hazardous Anyway default overclock is somewhere around 1,7 GHz which is safe value The package also contains Voltage Control free edition, which will allow you to alter those values to your taste

after desperate messing with aroma installer i have another idea how to contribute to community tool that generates aroma scripts
What is the difference between this "ROM"and the other ones like Eratcher and DualCore "ROMS"
It is supposed to be as much stock as possible, while getting some extra functionality, to be honest, i'm not keen using AOSP - themed rom, if i would want to, i'd bought galaxy nexus... i've bought xperia cause i like it's design... by the way, being arrogant and rude is not the best way how to support someone trying to learn something...

i think he(Felimenta97) is asking for the kernel because ladynaamah has the ka kernel with default sony logo.
You may extract zImage file from archive and flash it via fastboot using command
Code:
fastboot flash boot zImage
provided you have connected your device in fastboot mode
geekygrl: I'm aware of that, but what shall i do? Type here guide how to extract it, modify it, repack it and flash it separately? That's not making much sense, would excessively complicate process that is supposed to be simple...

hi,
i have successfully rooted my ARC S phone & installed Super Jelly Bean by Harsh586 (thanks to him). i would like to know how do i increase the size of the 400mb internal memory (i have 16gb micro sd high speed card inside my phone). also do i need to install ClockworkMod Recovery since i already have fusion 5.4 installed ?
last question can i install themes from google play because i'm not really big fan of the stock jelly bean theme.
for themes i think you can use a launcher that support themes like go launcher... just search in play store...
for internal memory http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2162233&highlight=swap
use the search of the forum and you will get all your answers..

is really easy to make a partition work, but you have to see if your kernel and rom supports it!
just follow the threads that i have mentioned above and it will be alright..
i never tried jelly bean roms, only ultimate hd and i think that in overall its a very nice rom, fast, stable, good for games, good camera, and supports partitions...

i have just changed the kernel from fusion 5.4 to fxp216 so i can use a patch to get the camera to work at 720p. i will see if i can find info on this kernel in regards to partitioning.
I'm taking over a friends old R800i next week and I'm really looking forward to it since I've wanted one of these since about when it was released.
What I'm looking for is a rom that gives me all the usual stuff - GSM connection, working 3G, wifi, gps, sms, mms, camera - but, will a custom rom give me better performance for emulation?
I want to be able to emulate all kinds of consoles without losing too much performance due to the rom - nor do I want my battery to get drained while the phone isn't in use. I'm of course ready to try a bunch of roms and I have looked at some of the threads, without learning much to be honest. I'm not even up to date with who's roms are the stable ones or which is the highest SE provided rom for Play either.
Looking to emulate N64, nes, PS and sega genesis, mainly.
If you root and debloat the stock rom, you will get excellent gaming performance. I went rom using custom roms and went back to stock as it provided the best performance all around.

Please act respectful: PizzaDox has opened many manu threads, and he can't be repling at all of them.
Anyway debloating a rom is simple and can be done by everyone that wants to, by extracting the system.sin from your .79 ftf, dumping its data with flashtool in order to make it a yaffs img, extracting it with a yaffs extractor and then removing the apps located into "app" that you consider as bloat

If u want more gaming performance then its wrong question :/
As sb said u cannot flash rom without PC
If u want more performance: CHange FSync to dynamic; Set the Maximal L2 Read to its maximum value; set preallocated memory to highest value. Go into the internet and install some tweaks. There are universal tweaks like superchargerV6 or PurePerformances, or tweaks made for some devices (i didnt found any Ace2-only tweaks but if u will do some research u can find Mali400 tweaks which will power up ur gpu)>
U can also check GLtools link: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/play-resource-intensive-games-on-low-end-devices-with-gltools/
PS. before installing tweaks etc. make backup in recovery, next time when u will have stock rom: install temporary cwm and do backup on it (stock based backups can be helpful)
PS2 [C OLOR=GRE EN] sent from my mind using hand to typing [/CO LO R] (without space-bars) - set this and ur signature will be green (u failed :/)
sent from my mind using hand to typing
Well, it should be possible to port a stock rom to CWM format (dump all files + create appropriate updater-script + kernel image) but different recoveries handle /preload more or less well, Touchwiz is more picky about proper partitions, all zips must fit in /data (?)... it's probably not worth the time...
(big lies, nothing isn't worth it, in fact I'd like to see CM7 for this device)

Upgrading to 4.3 already improved gaming performance, but it is still not enough. Considering Chainfire3D is not compatible with 4.3+, there must be other options to increase gaming performance such as decreasing texture quality.
Decreasing the resolution does not have much effect as Xperia M is already running on a low resolution. I lowered it slightly, but I barely get any noticable increase.
Recently, Dragon Quest 8 has been ported to Android and I am using it as my Gaming Performance measurement.
It runs well and very playable, but it still lags now and then during sequences and I want to completely get rid of that. The graphics of the game look amazing (considering its a PS2 game on Android), but I'd be comfortable with smoother gameplay instead of great graphics.
I found some tweaks such as Medusa, but as mentioned my phone has a Locked BootLoader and it cannot be unlocked. I already disabled all animation effects in Developer Settings.
I personally use medusa and reincarnation engine at the same time and my phone runs like a damn cheetah.oh and you don't need an unlocked bootloader to install these mods, all you have to have is root, busybox, and init.d support. And then download the mods amd place the files in their appropriate folders and set the correct permissions to each file. You don't need CWM. this method actually works for a lot of mods, you can try it out if you wish. Good luck
Yea.medusa script is good.best battery life ever and speed is amazing

You mean reincarnation ? I used Reincarnation lately but it seems that Medusa is better , So you should only use Medusa .
extract all files then move it to /system then change permission CHECK ALL BOXES after you change that permission move them to /system/etc/int.d paste them there .then reboot .
Oh btw you need busybox and int .d support .

TowelRoot and apply Rootfix or the long, but my preferred way:
-Flash stock 4.1.2 using FlashTool
-Extract system.sin from 4.3.ftf file using FlashTool, you should get a system.ext4 file
-Download Nicki Root and put the system.ext4 file where the root.bat is
-Download Framaroot, install it and select SuperSU and Gandalf, run it multiple times until you have SuperSU installed on your phone
-run root.bat and follow instructions
-flash the stock 4.3 ftf but exclude System
Done
All of this can be found on xda easily, just google for 'root xperia m 4.3'.
