Tried to flash a ROM - Getting Error on Boot - Note 7 Questions & Answers

I flashed flashed a custom ROM and an now getting the error: "Encryption failed Unable to start up your device. The encryption process was interrupted. You need to reset your device tro factory and default settings. This will erase all your data."
I went in to TWRP and did a format data but still the same issue. Any advice is appreciated.
What I Flashed in the Order I Flashed:
Recovery: twrp-3.0.2-0-gracelte.img
Bootloader: BL_N930FXXU1BPH6_CL8981392_QB10620840_REV00_user_low_ship.tar
Modem:CP_N930FXXU1BPH5_CL8969288_QB10609324_REV00_user_low_ship.tar
ROM: HydraRom_SM-N930F_V1.0

I am in same position here!

Go to advanced format and kill everything, then reflash your rom.

Rom Flash Problems

Hi
Can someone please help. I have hboot 0.93001 and radio-5.11.05.27. I have rooted the phone with Unrevoked.
I tried flashing roms and get error can't mount cache and it also states that E:Can't find MISC:. I tried to s-off(thru the cd/dvd and virtualbox method) but get the following error:
RAMDISK: Incomplete write (4627 != 16354)
Write error
Kernel panic - not synching: VFS: unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(8,3)
I tried the following method ttp://www.android-tutorials.org/dev/?page_id=78 to downgrade my hboot to 0.8 but it said update failed. Can't downgrade.
Please I need help.
note: The cd/dvd method did go a little bit further but also failed. Went about 2-3 lines further.
Did you a Nandroid Backup before flashing new ROMs? Is it possible to restore? Wipe (factory reset + cache) and reflash the ROM also didn't work?
Can you boot into your stock ROM?
I personally would reflash RUU --> here or here
Then I just would start again rooting the device, doing Nandroid BU, wipe, flash, enjoy
Hope that helps.

Can't wipe/edit data patition

I finally flashed a non Sense ROM onto my dev edition M8, and now I can't even touch /data. I got the enter password to decrypt storage bug while using Paranoid Android, so I followed the steps here to get back to a working system, but the ROM never booted to the password screen. It froze on the boot animation, the went in a loop, I tried to wipe data through recovery, the screen went blank after a few seconds, and then tried to boot the system again. I can't get it to wipe via fastboot either as I get a "FAILED (remote: not allowed)" when trying erasing and formatting data/userdata. I also can't delete anything from /data in recovery. Does anyone have a fix for this? Flashing other ROMs also suddenly quit and go back to trying to boot the system.
Edit: Flashing a stock recovery to wipe /data fixed it. Why didn't I think about that sooner?

Help "To start Android please enter password" for Xperia M C1905

Basically, as the title say, I have problem with it. Before that, I have a custom install (Archidroid 3.1.5), root and bootloader is unlocked. At one point, the phone hang....then I reboot it and that why I got the problem. Thus, I tried many ways to restore back my phone. I tried...
1. Try wipe data, cache, dalvik, system, factory reset, format data using TWRP - failed (except format data)
1. Try install back the custom ROM (ArchiDroid) - it said symlink: some symlinks failed
2. Try install another custom ROM (cm13) - it said error: 7
3. Try flash stock ROM ftf file using flashtool - it said Processing of kernel.sin finished with errors
Edit 1:
1. Try wipe data, cache, dalvik, system, factory reset, format data using TWRP
2. Try install back the custom ROM (ArchiDroid)
3. Try install another custom ROM (example: cm13)
4. Try flash stock ROM ftf file using flashtool
None of the above help. For 1, 2, and 3 I think is because the /data. It said "unable to mount /data {invalid argument}. As for flashtool, I try version 0.9.19.10 and 0.9.18.6 both got error about the process of kernel.sin finished with error. So, my phone only can do boot to recovery (TWRP), and normal boot (back to problem as in title).
Please help me :crying:
I have same problem. Try to flash/install anything at recovery ---> ( Failed to mount data ).

[solved] decryption unsuccessful

Hello,
I just unlocked my bootloader after waiting for 30 days.
Then I flashed official twrp via fastboot and booted to it with
Code:
fastboot boot twrp-3.2.3-0-whyred.img
I wiped Dalvik / Art Cache, System, Data, Cache but NOT internal storage
I flashed the PE extended 9.0 rom.
Now when I reboot it wants me to enter a password, I entered my PIN and it says:
Code:
Decryption unsuccessful
The password you entered is correct, but unfortunately your data is corrupt.
To resume using your phone, you need to perform a factory reset. When you set up your phone after the reset, you'll have an opportunity to restore any data that was backed up to your Google Account.
I click on Reset Phone and it reboots into TWRP and then automatically boots the system and again it wants me to enter my password.. and again the decryption unsuccessful message
In my first attempt I wiped everything including internal storage, then rebooted to recovery again and then installed the rom, but that didn't help. So I had to flash MIUI with the mi flash tool, then I did all the setup etc. and tried the method I used above..
But I always get stuck with this decryption unsuccessful.. What am I doing wrong?
//EDIT:
Solved the problem by TWRP -> Wipe -> Format Data -> Yes.
Now I feel stupid haha, I shouldn't do this stuff after working a night shift..
format data is the only way to decrypt

Cannot Install Any Custom Rom

I recently unlocked my bootloader after waiting for 1440 hours. I am/was currently on MIUI 10.0.1.0 but wanted to install a custom rom like lineage 15.1. I installed Red Wolf TWRP and then tried to install the rom. I went to Advanced Wipe section of the recovery and checked Dalvik, Cache, Data and System but not Vendor and Internal Storage. It wiped those partitions without any error. But after that i tried to install the rom but halfway through install it ended with "Update Process Ended with Error 7" and a line saying "Failed to Mount /system (Invalid Argument)" and changed the system partition size to zero. I had to repair it and flash MIUI back using fastboot.
I did this same process over and over with different recoveries ( RED WOLF, ORANGE WOLF and even official TWRP) and different builds of lineage (rom zip was never corrupted) and even with ressurection remix but still failed and same thing happened again and again. Am I doing something wrong in the process? I didn't flash lazyflasher as I read in multiple threads that it is not necessary if flashing a custom rom. Please guide?
I hope it works for my English.
1- mount > select all > restart recovery
2- full wipe > install rom and gapps > format data

Thanks for replying. You said full wipe. Should I include vendor as well or just regular (Dalvik, Cache, Data and System)?

I again tried the process as follows:
Flashed MIUI 9.6.4.0 with MiFlash using clean and lock option.
Then I unlocked it again using miunlock.
Then I flashed RedWolf v28 beta recovery by booting it and flashing it from inside recovery.
This time I flashed lazyflasher and checked options disable dm-verity and force encrypt in recovery and installed magisk. It did it perfectly.
Then I went to Advanced Wipe Section of Wipe tab and checked all the option required like cache, dalvik, data, system and even vendor. It wiped it without any problems like always.
But here the same problem starts to arise: when I again tried to install lineage 15.1 (downloaded latest build this time too) it starts but after halfway through it says Updater process ended with Error 7
Cannot install sdcard/lineage-build date and version
and Unable to mount /system (invalid argument)
When i restart recovery system partition size changes to zero and I have to repair it by changing the file system option.
Currently now I'm on MIUI 9.6.4.0 with RedWolf recovery (options disable dm-verity and force encrypt are enabled) and lazyflasher and Magisk installed. I can use my phone when I flash MIUI 9 or 10 using but it not letting me to install any custom rom. I'm really frustrated.

When you get the mount error, come to the home page and get to the mount. speak enable all options enable all options. speak restart recovery restart recovery. make format data
Not sure if the link is forbidden? I can't tell you sorry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzrWkjOfndA&t=501s
I have read replies and everyone is sharing his bit of suggestions, here are mine
1. boot redwolf as FASTBOOT BOOT recovery.img - (if you arent already)
2. change file type of /data partition to-from (xFat to ext4) and wipe all partitions (internal storage can be skipped)
3. instead of linage15.1 same package, try downloading some other custom rom, i recomend DotOS2.5 or Crdroid4.6.2
4. uncheck enforce md5 bla bla while flashing zip.
i hope you will succeed
