This issue started just out of the blue. The fingerprint scanner is no longer quick to respond to touch if the phone has been idle for anything over 2-3 minutes. What could be the issue? I am on OOS 3.2.2, rooted.

Does Xposed break things like this? ? Anyway I only use Xposed to greenify, and manage boot. Will do a factory reset and let you know. Thanks a bunch for your time ?

That's why recently I flashed RR ROM without xposed. It's working great no lag at all.

Do you use Tasker?
Could be a profile you set.
Also try to remove any recent apps you have added, do this one by one until you see the problem disappear and you will have found your culprit.
Or you could try:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.silent_time_android
And set it to turn on silent at certain times such as midnight till 7 am?
This could help re-configure the way your phones goes on silent and may get rid of the problem?
Finally, if your rooted try wiping the dalvik cache etc, maybe a hard reboot etc etc.
Hope I helped.

Your welcome mate.
Okay so tasker isnt the cause
I do highly recommend removing apps one by one and seeing is it carries on, remove the most recent first and work downwards.
Well a hard reboot is basically a factory restore. Which should be your last resort as it will remove all of your data.
Perhaps try another ROM/Kernel as another last resort also.

ok ill try to find it by removing apps
can games also be a problem or only apps ?
Anything that you have personally installed could cause a problem. But I would say it is more likely an app than a game. Try to think of apps that requested most permissions, or that you think may interact with the sound settings.

I did, it didn't work. It might something like Adaway that prevents it from working. Will do some further tests. Thanks for your comfirmation.
EDIT: After uninstalling Adaway and Xposed Framework, it still doesn't work. I will have to stick to the previous version. Please note, I'm on cm 10.2.1.3.
Unless you have other suggestions?
Regards,
I have the same problem with this version, I can't update because the app doesn't work, I've cleared the data, reboot and still it doesn't work, I have a stock nexus 5 with xposed but no modules have anything to do with youtube, if anyone knows what we can try please comment

First post. Hi I have xperia z1 havin same problem with this update seems if u go back to stock app (think thats what it's called) works fine but my phone keeps downloading the update on the fly.../ when they gonna fix it cuz im sick of uninstalling the app only to lose my history on youtube in the process, couple of good tunez dissipated in the mist of my mind
This update works just fine with cm11. I'll keep the old version for now and try again with the next.
I managed to fix it, what I did is turn google play services into a user app using titanium backup, then clear the data of youtube in the application section in settings that made the new update work after that I moved play services back to system app and everything is working ok now, you can try this and see if it works for you too

It's the original calculator and it crashed immediately when I open it
Is there anyone else who meet the problem. How to solve it?

I also got this issue, anyone has a clue? at my nexus 6 btw
I got the 6.0.1 OTA just now and I'll check once it's installed. Maybe try wiping data and/or cache for it?
UPDATE: Just checked and not an issue for me. Running stock and not rooted... yet.

Just an idea but go to your Developer options then scroll to the very bottom and select Inactive apps. Touch to toggle it for calculator and try again.

Thankyou for the brain storming you guys, still it didnt had any effect.
6p, and I have the same issue.. Strange.
Did you guys flash the update using factory image files or did you flash the actual OTA file? Because I find that flashing files from the factory images to update can cause issues sometimes. The OTA files sometimes have upgrade scripts that may change some things that need to be changed on the /data partition and you wouldn't get those changes if you just flashed the new /system partition.
Last night I was having this issue (as mentioned above). Today, the calculator app opens up just fine. Even more strange...
Has anyone got this working? I've done everything and the new power menu appears and the Cards and Passes does show up in gestures for about 30 seconds and then disappears. When press the power button it only shows the new power menu and not the cards.
https://www.xda-developers.com/enable-quick-wallet-access-google-pay-pixel-android-10/#disqus_thread
Same issue here. I don't even get the option for cards and passes in gestures menu....
i had to reboot like three times and then the cards magically appeared. It's not something that works instantly.

Thanks. There is something else connected. I did this mod yesterday and have rebooted multiple times. Are you on a custom kernel?

no
Got it working, but my option to enable it appeared in a different place.
Maybe do a reboot, put your code in if you have one, and then just let the phone sit for awhile.

I'm on a custom Kernal. Booted many times and the gesture appears but still disappears in a matter of seconds. Very frustrating.

Well the dev didn't specify in his installation instructions that you needed to be on a stock kernal. The only requirement was to be in Android 10. I've tried a few reboots and nothing.

Ah ok. Very strange. Not sure what are or not the full requirements are for installation. It's a bit vague from the dev and no real support on it.

This is what I have installed. My GPay has been working for a long time with these modules installed.
Do I need to do anything else?
The gesture just disappears after a reboot.
Working here :good:
Working fine here. I had to reboot 2 times, disable and re-enable the toggle in order to make it work. Now it runs perfectly fine

Those are the correct modules and it should be up and running.
After reading things, they sound like scripts so that's why I suggest letting it sit for a little after you boot up. Try reinstalling the modules and try to get the option to come up for you once more.

Ok I'll try and reinstall all those modules. Yes as they are scripts it may take a few minutes to run but they don't. Not sure if the permissions should be changed or correct. The creater has another module like this for the live caption which I installed and again are scripts and run perfectly so not sure what's going on. After multiple reboots it appears in gestures and just disappears and nothing happens. See attached.

Tried reinstalling all the modules again and toggling the switch on and off and while doing it in gestures again it just disappeared. No idea what's going on. Not sure if one of my modules is conflicting with this module or not? Just strange it's kind of the same script as live caption but just does not want to play ball
hello everyone i saw people saying these apps are unsafe to debloat and will cause bootloop
but when i debloated them i didnt get bootloop and everything seems to be working fine...
so can these apps be uninstalled or not? and if not why?
Have you try to reboot your phone? If it safe after you reboot then you can uninstall it. Usually bootloop happened when you reboot.

no, im asking cause for when i uninstalled xiaomi framework for example, it seemed fine at first but eventually would cause frequent restarts... also if for some reason debloating those apps cause performance issues, battery drain etc then there is no point to debloating them... i just want to see other people opinions
