I'm presenting you my Android application for controling Nikon and Canon DSLR with your Android phone/tablet over USB, wireless with the WU-1a/1b adapter or with using an OpenWrt with help of the DslrDashboardServer.
For running the application you need Android with USB host mode support and USB OTG cable/adapter.
Begining with version V0.30.1 you need Android 4.0 (ICS) for the application, the old version V0.26.7 minimal requirement is Android 2.3.4.

image viewer uses OpenCV/OpenGL for rendering the image, JPG are loaded in full resolution so no pixelation when zoomed in (raw files are still processed with half-size because of slow processing in full resolution)
added live view exposure preview, live view white balance, live view selector for Nikon models that support it (they can be find in LV properties layout on right)
added zoom button in live view display (upper left corner - only in OpenCV/OpenGL live view mode) that will display a zoom dialog)
added a BLV button below the zoom button in live view. Pressing the BLV button will save the aperture/shutter speed/iso values. After pressing it those values can be changed at will. Before capture the application will restore the saved values and make the capture with those. If 'return to live view' is enabled the application will restore the BLV values. This is useful for Nikon models that reflect the aperture/shutter speed/iso changes in live view (like D800).
reworked the custom bracketing, now it should choose the right shutter speeds if used in M mode.
increased the manual focus step slider in live view (0 - 1000 now)

I still didn't get back the Canon 650D so the custom bracketing is not working for Canon as I can't test it.

V0.30.16 changes:
I added OpenCV. Durning DslrDashboard first start it will ask you to install the OpenCV manager. After installing it the manager will install the OpenCV client libraries for the Android device.
I added a complet new live view rendering that is implemented in native code using OpenCV and OpenGL. To enable the new rendering go to settings and under live view options enable the 'Use OpenCV/OpenGL for LV rendering' option. In OpenCV/OpenGL rendering you are able to enable various OpenCV filters with the button located in the upper right corner (grayscale, sepia, edge detection, sobel, canny, inverse, etc). Also the histogram calculation and display is done with help of OpenCV. The new rendering should be much faster then the old one (Please test this rendering so I can improve it, with D5000 and 650D works superb here on Nexus 7 and SG2 to).

Checked out the sdk's for other models and with some work the other models will work to. The live view part needs most of the changes.

yes with some work. the D300 live view data is a bit different then the D5000 (it has no face detection data), and some of the property values differ. Will try to add the needed changes in the upcoming days if you interested in trying it out.

The app name is D5kControl and the "Nikon D5000 DSLR Control" simply describes what it does, if you have problem with it I can rename it if you find me a name that describes it and dosn't 'mimic' yours.

Actually I have created for myself an unpublished WPF application under same name last year in april, when I buyed my Nikon D5000

Once you got it all down for All Recent Nikon DSLR, you can just name it NikonControl or NDSLRcontrol (lol sounds like NDS control)
Here is what I found out:
it FC and Hangs when I chose Live View function when I put in either Camera Mode or Host Mode.
I already start and stop the service just to try it out, but still does the same thing.
Live View just shows up Black Screen. I notice it puts the camera top LCD says PC mode.
BTW, I am using VillainROM 2.4 KG6
I would love to see this work for my D90 too!

When i turn on bluetooth, i get a force close, but i cant get a log cat at the moment. Sorry.
Only bugs I see so far are FC with DSP Manager within Google Play Music and also weird audio issues within playing YouTube Videos. Keep up the great work!

so i dunno if its just me but if you try to share a link from youtube to facebook, all i get is a black screen. im gonna see if its cause i switched it over the AOSB black toggle in settings. but anything else i might have missed would be a big help.
Any other kernels usable with this? Like EliteLunar Kernels by chance?
Edit: running the latest EliteLunar AOSP kernel in correlation with crossbreeder. So far so good.

Tap and hold on two of your Recent Apps, then choose > Add to Split View.
Switched over from Vanir and am absolutely loving this ROM. I was curious though, is it at all possible to disable the vibration of when the back button and home buttons get pressed?

Just an update, unsure if it was due to the EliteLunar Kernel, Crossbreeder or the ROM but I lost all responsiveness to my screen for about 5 minutes. I could power the screen on but couldn't touch at all. Also the button combination to hard reset the phone wouldn't work either.

So far the only time I've seen that reported was because of elite kernel. I also don't see the point of cross breeder since entropy was fixed in android about two years ago.

Try the kernel that came with the rom, or the one I uploaded today.

I can't effectively support issues related to using other kernels.

I clean flashed the rom, with the new kernel you posted and I could not hear people on calls. I flashed elite kernel and it fixed the problem. Other than that everything that Ive tried is working and smooth. Thanks for your work.
Is this ENTIRE ROM really only 199 MB? or am I missing something? How is it so much smaller than other ROMS? Just Wondering... btw. I won't be offended if you don't respond.

It's aosp and the Google apps are separate which technically adds another 250mbs or so to the entire thing. Still a lot less than a sense ROM. Trust me though this is a great rom. I'm personally not a huge fan of aosp but this one is awesome.

FAQ and Know issues:
when probam in black turn on , the systemui make force close
try to switch off black ui then restart and try enable it again
after dirty flash the device hangs and systemui make force close
you need to make wipe all and clean cache and make fresh install in this case
when try video recoding the device freeze or slow down
screen video record with ondemand or pegasusq governors u will have a laggy recorded video. If you try with performance governor from performance in settings , then the video will be a lot smoother.
Camera crashing some times and not works anymore "camera not connected"
the rom included an small application "camera restart" you can use it for fix this issue
titanium recovery not restore my applications
For those who cannot find their previous files, because CM based rom will target the sdcard storage to use root/0/ directory.
So normally all the files besides the root/0/ directory will not be shown on the file explorer.
To solve this, you will need a file browser that has ROOT capability, eg. Root Explorer
then go to mnt/shell/emulated/ all your file should be here.
Now move all the files into mnt/shell/emulated/0/ folder.
Should solve the problem.
Privacy guard IS working?
after enabling privacy guard in security settings
you have to switch to settings>apps and then choose to enable or disable each app individually.
I'm sure nobody would want to tick every single app, that would almost be the same as enabling airplane mode.

for now you can choose between HALO or multi-window, but not both at same time, dev is working on it

I'm highly impressed by this ROM. It's definitely in a lane on its own. However, I do agree that this ROM needs some more speed and fluidity. Once that's covered, this ROM will be freaking perfect! I appreciate the work devs and keep on continuing your great work!

So far an amazing ROM. Feature packed and data works out of the box flawlessly so far. Decent battery life on default kernel. Only issue I've ran into is sending MMS. Force closes using default MMS app. However receiving MMS works.

been running for a day and battery life has been pretty decent, I haven't been on data just wifi so far. There has been an issue as stated before about MMS not going through, but, it does work with hangouts. I don't use mms very much but, hopefully it will get fixed soon. So far very very nice.

did mine about 3 days ago and didn't have a problem at all.
Review abput AOSB ROM for the ToroPlus
PROS:
Many features that are way useful.
Battery life is pretty good
Pretty fast.
CONS:
-DSP manager constantly crashes when changing music on any music player. It even does it when moving the music cursor (Like the bar that moves when you are on the "Now Playing" page of the Music Player.
-Apps FC when the Spell checker corrects a word (Specifically when the misspelled word appears on red and you tap on it and then change it)
-The system reboots by itself
-The system constantly freezes up (Completely) and the only fix is to take the battery out and in and start the system again
-Recents screen, transition between landscape and portrait and -screenshots have graphical glitches (ScreenShots are saved with the glitches so is visible when viewing it)
think I'll wait on downloading and flashing this for now, thanks for posting some of your experiences w/ this rom.
As far as DSP Manager, it seems to force close a lot on many roms !!! my concern would be with having to pull the battery often...

I don't know if it shows all features on our galaxy nexus but here is a video showing ver. 1.2.9 on a galxy s3.

What I forgot: Any chance to see a version for maguro?
I dont think DSP Mangaer crashes on lots of ROMs. This is the first ROM I experience this is issue on. But for exaple Mr. Firebird11 created CrDroid (Build 6 as of now) and I have no issues at all. I recommend using it and you want some of the features of this ROM use Xposed. (Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2611469)

watched the video, definitely looks like an awesome rom with a lot of features ! one in-particular I noticed was the slider to appear on the lockscreen before phone security screen, which is not an option many times...
I just dirty flashed this over my good old purity 4.3 android based rom using full pa gapps in combination with fancy kernel.
Install went fine and room is performing really god.
The clock app gave me fc while opening. I cleared cache and data, now fc is gone.
The dark toggle is cool. I like it and purity also offered that option. It would be cool like on purity if the keyboard will turn black too.
What's that sound packs options for under settings, sounds? I can't access. Gives me fc too.
Other than that all other things I tried work as they should so far.

I've had only a few problems with this i've been running for about 4 days, battery life has been good for me as well. I noticed the sound pack option and it forced closed on me the 1st time then it let me change it, not sure what it does though. I've had 1 battery pull where it froze on me not bad on everything else.

Installation instructions so If installing for the first time:
To install this ROM you will need to have an unlocked boot loader and a custom Recovery such as TWRP or ClockWorkMod installed
1 Copy the downloaded AOSB to your phone.
2 update recovery, is required for install android kitkat
3 Boot into your recovery
4 Back up your ROM
5 Enter recovery
6 Make full wipe "included "system"
7 Install the ROM
8 install GAPPS package
9 Reboot - the first boot can take up to 2 minutes
10 Recommended to Reboot again after ROM is up for the first time

FAQ and Know issues:
when probam in black turn on , the systemui make force close
try to switch off black ui then restart and try enable it again
after dirty flash the device hangs and systemui make force close
you need to make wipe all and clean cache and make fresh install in this case
when try video recoding the device freeze or slow down
screen video record with ondemand or pegasusq governors u will have a laggy recorded video. If you try with performance governor from performance in settings , then the video will be a lot smoother.
Camera crashing some times and not works anymore "camera not connected"
the rom included an small application "camera restart" you can use it for fix this issue
titanium recovery not restore my applications
For those who cannot find their previous files, because CM based rom will target the sdcard storage to use root/0/ directory.
So normally all the files besides the root/0/ directory will not be shown on the file explorer.
To solve this, you will need a file browser that has ROOT capability, eg. Root Explorer
then go to mnt/shell/emulated/ all your file should be here.
Now move all the files into mnt/shell/emulated/0/ folder.
Should solve the problem.
Privacy guard IS working?
after enabling privacy guard in security settings
you have to switch to settings>apps and then choose to enable or disable each app individually.
I'm sure nobody would want to tick every single app, that would almost be the same as enabling airplane mode.

1 - report your bug in the forum of your device and see if other people having the same problem :crying:
2 - try to solve it with all the knowledge you can get :silly:
3 - if that doesn't work go to our support center and place your findings there, report your bug and which device you have , this way it goes straight to the developers

This Rom paired with Mpo SR Kernel (Wavedashdoc settings) is smoking.
