Hi.
I have a HTC ON M8 that bought a few days ago. 4.4.2 android had K.K., so I decided fastboot flash by. He had signal problems since it was unstable and could not connect to 3g or 4g. Only 2g. I descargueé install the USB drivers for htc, I placed the fastboot folder in c: \ fastboot, but it has given me some problems. I can perfectly restart in bootoader mode, verify mid, cid, model, but leave flashing me any zip because fastboot says. "ERROR: CAN NOT LOAD firmware.zip I can also unlock the bootloader with Unlock_code because fastboot says" REMOTE: NOT ALLOWED ".
Because of this, I had to update by RUU.
Download 0P6BIMG_M8_UL_M60_SENSE70_MR_HTC_Europe_6.12.401.4_Radio_1.29.214500021.12G_20.72.4196t.01_release_464360_signed and I put it on my SD card. The process did not produce errors, but incender my M8, threw a warning in red letters, "device tree is not totally matched." After setting my M8, I noticed that the signal was much more unstable. In almost all times no signal, and when it does, it is going slowly.
I'm really desperate. I do not know what to do, friends. I am from Chile, South America, and the M8 should work well with 4g (2600) and 3g networks.
These are the RUU I installed, but have not given me a solution to my problem:

your getvar all is displaying imei. (if it is correct, delete it. but i think it is wrong one.)
the first thing you should do is unlock bootloader. if your device is already rooted, it is not problem.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708571. however your device is uncommon. (XF SHIP) did you buy your device in s-off condition?
what type of errors did you get when you were trying to flash ruu 0P6BIMG_M8_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_HTC_Europe_4.16.401.1 0?

I will try to use the method post the link that hit me.
To install the RUU, so I place on the SD card, then reboot in bootloader mode. Checking the UCP does well. After restarting been installed, my M8 and the logo HTC me a message saying "DEVICE IS NOT MATCHED TREE" appears. Subsequently, remains frozen for a few seconds, another HTC logo appears and from there start setting up my M8. But the other problem I have is that no network signal. Rarely it takes and is too unstable.
I could not fastboot flash ROMs because you do not connect with my M8 for flashing ZIP. He tells me "ERROR: CAN NOT LOAD firmware.zip"
Galaxy S5 had before. A few days ago I permuté HTC ONE M8 this coming with S-OFF, CID 11111111 and Boot LOCKED.

confirm whether your imei number on sim tray & imei given by system match. if you can, check your imei through an imei data server to find whether your imei is valid or invalid.
i think, there maybe a connection between your imei & no signal problem. however it is better to return your device to seller.
If you buy m8 again, concern whether it is M8_UL PVT
good luck!

Hi. I solved the problem of flashing zip. The unlock_code file was wrong. I went back to get it from HTCDev and resolved. I have my M8 with root, recovery and rom viper 6.0.0. The theme of the signal is much better, although still only 2g, but I read somewhere that you have to open the band to work on 3G and 4G of my country. I hope that solved my problem of signal, but even I notice appears on the screen every time I turn HTC along with the message "DEVICE IS NOT MATCHED TREE". I do not know why that warning. [emoji45]

If you're trying to flash the RUU ZIP you HAVE to use htc_fastboot.exe as the Google fastboot file can't flash the ZIP. You can get it here (I pulled it from the latest EU RUU)
at the moment i'm flashing from SD card, that finds that file automatically. my CID is 111111
When my network reception disappeared i was listening to spottily din't do anything to the phone and din't install anything that required Root for 3-4 weeks, not sure what happened
So tried that method still no luck, hopefuly they will take it in warranty
Post your fastboot getvar all (minus serial no. & imei no.)
I believe you need x.xx.771.x ROM and firmware version because your device is H3G, and I have all versions x.xx.771.x backups

You need SuperSU installed to run that lock command
If you still have TWRP installed (not sure about other custom recovery), you can boot to recovery then run that command while in recovery (this way you don't need SuperSU installed)
just run adb shell
then that echo part
(only two commands)

With this EU WWE details, I don't know whether Three UK will accept your device under warranty ... someone else need to advise you as I'm not familiar with that region.
In my region ... if I have other Asia ROM even with LOCKED & S-ON status, they still cannot accept because the IMEI is registered under ASIA WWE which is x.xx.707.x
I'm in recovery now, but trying and getting this: error: device not found
Just to double check in bootloader i just select Recovery? or wait does it have to be Unofficial Recovery or HTC one?
This phone is going in HTC not Three so dont think that should cause any problems?
Sorted thanks, my device was showing Relocked so had to unlock it again. but now it shows Locket, now just need to get SD card and reinstall system, and send it to HTC only thing i have is S-Off so hope HTC wont be picky about this, because when i spoke to Support staff he did mention that unlocked bootloader will void warranty so not sure how to take on this

Clockwork recovery
Soooo i bought the M8 secondhand with Cyanogenmod installed, however, i couldnt do any updates due to error status 7. i tried the normal fix (delete code which checked authorisation of phone) but to no avail. since then the error came back and i managed to get a different error on reboot: "root access possibly lost. fix?". I've cleared cache(s) and done a factory reset. No matter what i pressed it would be in a boot loop. I can still get to bootloader and recovery. then i tried to change the recovery to TWRP however when i try and fastboot, my device is not recognised by my laptop so i cannot add the ADB driver to the device.
sorry for sounding very vague / idiotic, i have no idea what i have done and no idea what i am doing to try and fix it. that means sadly i will need to be spoonfed the fix. if you need any more details or pictures of the problem let me know
thanks in advance

Are you trying to update to CM12.1? If so, the error is for a reason, and not to be bypassed in the way you describe.
If you are on an hboot older than 3.19, I don't think it will work with CM12 and 12.1. You'll need to update hboot (and rest of firmware, preferably) to proceed.
Also, CWM may be too old for CM12 as well.

Not sure what you mean here. Are you trying to install HTC Sync (and corresponding driver) by connecting the phone?
You can just do an XDA search for "simple adb" and you will find a couple really easy adb/fastboot installers.
how do i see what hboot i am on? and how would i update it?
i've installed HTC Sync but it doesn't recognise my phone being connected (so i cant view any files on the phone) and i've installed a simple ADB/fastboot but i can't see the driver option when trying to add it to my phone on Device manager. i have got to the stage whereby i have the ADB/fastboot folder and have the TWRP file in the same folder, just i cant get any further.
where would i begin getting to cyanogenmod 12.1, or would it be easier to revert back to a basic android os?
i know this is probably incredibly frustrating for you as i am a complete novice, but i greatly appreciate your help
i would post pictures to help but i cant as im a new member, i will when i can

This in itself does not mean the phone is not connecting by fastboot. And fastboot is the important thing here, so we can update TWRP, etc.
Try rebooting into fastboot mode, and try the command and see if your phone's ID is returned: fastboot devices
If you don't get the phone's ID and just "waiting for device" you do indeed have some type of USB connectivity problem.

Boot into bootloader, andyour hboot number is listed near the top of the screen.
Since you are s-off, its fairly easy to update the firmware (and I would suggest to update all the firmware, not just hboot) by flashing the proper firmware.zip. But let's determine whether that is even the problem, before we worry about flashing firmwares.
hboot is: 3.16.0
also my phone is detected by my laptop so all is well there
i have installed a simple 15 second ADB file but am unsure how to proceed from here

Your firmware is very old, so will need to be updated to run CM12.1. Also, newer versions of TWRP will not run with your old hboot.
Do a fastboot getvar all, and post the output, but delete your IMEI and serial numbers (as these are private info). Need more details on the phone (particularly CID) in order to know how to proceed.

I'm going to suggest WWE/International firmware. The updates are available way before O2 updates.
Download this firmware (it also includes TWRP2.8.4.0). Rename it to firmware.zip and place it into your fastboot folder.
Next, boot into fastboot and change your CID to superCID (it won't flash with the O2 CID)
fastboot devices to make sure you are connected (a bunch of letters and numbers/your serial# means you are)
fastboot oem rebootRUU (a black screen with the HTC logo means you are in RUU mode)
fastboot oem writecid 11111111 (eight ones) You are now superCID!
Now flash the firmware
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
If you get "error 90 hboot pre-update" (and you probably will with how old your current firmware is) run the same command again and the firmware will flash properly. The first run only updated your hboot.
The process will stop at 75% to 90%. That's normal and gives you a chance to check your console output. The last few percentage is the reboot.
The bar will fill to 100% after you enter fastboot reboot-bootloader
That's it. Good luck!
thank you both so much! so now do i just download the appropriate cyanogenmod version and flash it over?

The product ID (m8_ul_ca) is probably correct. We've seen reports here of a number of devices that have had their back covers swapped to remove branding (in this case, to remove the AT&T logo) and therefore wrong model number on back.
Although that doesn't explain why you have the device tree error when running the AT&T RUU. Please do fastboot getvar all, and post the output (delete IMEI and serial number before posting) so we can see more info about the phone.

You shouldn't be trying "a lot" of RUUs. You should be trying only the correct RUUs for the Sprint M8. Flashing RUUs for other versions is dangerous, and can lead to permanent damage to the Sprint version M8.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173
Did you buy this phone? And you received it with cell data not working? If so, you should return it to the seller (if possible) rather then messing around with it (possibly breaking it worse, and voiding any possibility of return to the seller).
Also, you should delete IMEI, serial number, and MEID from your post. These are unique to the device, and should never be posted online.
All the RUU files that i had tried for the same model ONE M8 WHL
No I didn't buy the phone but it's my job to make a software for the phones
When I received the phone cell data was working but the problem was there is no traffic when you turned on the wireless
But my problem now there is "no baseband"

This still doesn't tell me which RUUs you tried. There are 14 RUUs on the thread I linked. Which ones exactly did you try, and in what order? Did you use the exe or zip method (and if the latter, was it by htc_fastboot, or SD card method)? Did the RUU(s) install completely and successfully, or were there error messages? If there were error messages, what did they say exactly?
Basically, your posts are short on details. You should be specific and detailed as possible, when asking for help.

Understanding that English may not be your native language. But I don't know what that means "there is no traffic". Can you try to explain another way (again, more details may help).

Where are you seeing "no baseband". In the getvar you posted, it says baseband number 1.09.20.0119
You also did not delete the personal details (serial number, IMEI and MEID) from the getvar output, as I previously advised.
I'm so sorry for being late
I flashed the phone at the last time with this RUU

Is that the only RUU you tried? Before you said you tried "a lot of RUU flash files kitkat or lolipop " and when asked which RUUs you tried, you list only one. So one of those statements is incorrect or incomplete.
Hard to diagnose the issue (or may give incorrect advice) is we don't know exactly, step-by-step, what you did, and the state of the device at each step.
One important example of this: Are you absolutely sure you only flashed Sprint RUUs? It's a known problem, that if you tried to flash a non-Sprint RUU or radio baseband, that it will result in a radio brick (possibly permanent, but usually can be fixed).

I am still wondering about the original state, where you said: "When I received the phone cell data was working but the problem was there is no traffic"
I asked before, what you meant by this. You still haven't explained (only given the current state).
Again, it's hard to properly troubleshoot the issue, when it's pretty clear we've only been given a portion of the info.
Thanks for keeping in touch
These are the RUU files that I had tried before
RUU_M8_WHL_L50_SENSE60_SPCS_MR_Sprint_WW
E_Harman_4.20.654.10_Radio_1.09.20.0119_NV_SPCS_1.52_003_release_418492_signed_2
RUU_M8_WHL_L50_SENSE60_SPCS_MR_Sprint_WWE_Harman_4.20.654.10_Radio_1.09.20.0119_NV_SPCS_1.52_003_release_418492_signed_2_2

According to XTC2CLIP support all of M8_WHL flash files are Sprint or sprint and harman
then I tried this file
RUU_M8_WHL_M60_SENSE70_SPCS_MR_Sprint_WWE_Harman_6 .20.654.3
I'm so sorry maybe I didn't explain my problem exactly when I posted it
"" I am still wondering about the original state, where you said: "When I received the phone cell data was working but the problem was there is no traffic"
I meant there was no traffic when you connected to wifi there was no data transfer and this problem was solved by flashing the latest file
Now my problem is there are no imei and baseband in the normal mode but in the fast mode are exist
Try the older RUUs, like 2.16 or 3.30, and see if that fixes the "no baseband' issue. If so, try to RUU back to a more current version (6.20) and see if the fix "sticks".
Of try to flash the firmware only, and see if that helps (not exactly the same as flashing an RUU, so be sure to read the instructions on how to flash firmware). Firmware and instructions are on the same thread as the Sprint RUUs, which I linked earlier.

I know how to flash firmware thanks for help

thanks a lot
Hello xda community, I have very little experience in programming or rooting phones, and I really need help rooting my phone which I think is the International version of the M8 (or normal I really have no clue)
I've browsed through the internet looking for tutorials and such and I stumbled upon xda, but the noob-proof software I found here didn't do the job for me. So here is what I have:
Using the All-In-One-Toolkit, I successfully managed to unlock the bootloader within a few minutes, I then proceeded to flash a recovery to the phone while in bootloader (tried both the TWRP 2.7.0.2, and the latest version of it) but then I go from bootloader: Hboot > Recovery, my phone restarts, showing me the green HTC text, and the black android font on the bottom. Now, I waited for 20 min or so, but I noticed my phone was doing nothing and just heating up. ( I also tried using the perm root command but the result was also a bootloop)
I ended up holding down the Power button for several seconds, and the m8 started up like normal again. I did my research and I believe it to be a bootloop (correct me if I'm wrong ! )
I then looked for more information on the forum, in the FAQ section it said to simply erase the cache, which I did, but the phone wouldn't enter recovery still. I got really mad
So please help me find a solution or tell me what more info you need ! I would hate to have done a reset for nothing ^^
Thanks!
Post fastboot getvar all result (delete imei & serial no.)
What you described, seems like you probably not have a M8 (as happened to few others)

Really ? Not a M8 ? The box I got my phone from states : HTC One M8s, weird...
Yeah.. correct. Your device is M8s not M8; they are two different device.
Here is the thread for your device - https://forum.xda-developers.com/ht...ral/make-custom-recovery-htc-one-m8s-t3114245
Ask there, someone will be able to point you to correct TWRP version to use.
Anything for M8 won't work on M8s.
