It's having smart backlight control on and go to sleep after 15 seconds.
People don't realise it but the seconds the screen is on really do add up during the day. Smart backlight control works perfectly- as soon as I put my phone down the screen goes off in 10-15 seconds.
This is my battery usage today with brightness at 90% WITH adaptive brightness off:

Just browsing the web at night with 100% brightness while charging, looking for a HD wallpaper to compliment this beautiful screen.
About 30 mins browsing, downloading some wallpapers on wifi, I notice the top right corner of my phone/screen is extremely hot.
I checked my battery stats and I see the following:

"Not Charging"
"50 C Overheat"
Is this normal for the battery/device to overheat and stop charging?
Yes, thats what its designed to do when the battery is "overheating." Turn the phone off or pull it off the charger and let it cool down.
I have my timer set to one minute and it works when battery power is in use. However, when I plug it in it doesn't shut off. I have to turn it off manually and I'm afraid that will damage the screen. Anyone have an answer to this? I've checked all the settings but nothing jumps out.
You sure, you haven't checked the development settings, there is an exactly same setting. I am attaching a screenshot.

Good guess but that's not it. I checked. It could be rebooting while charging too. Just thought of that.
Hey guys. I have been using PA for about a week now and the only thing i don't like about it is the battery drain compared to stock MiUI 36.
Here are my stats:

I haven't even used the phone much. Just couple minutes of COC on wifi. And in between i didn't even use it for a bit as you can see from the 2nd screenshot, I use greenify and have it underclocked at 1306 GHz and the brightness is low.
Is this normal because in MiUI i had been getting a lot more juice.
At night the screen automatically drains colour on the screen and i cant find a way to switch it off plz help
Settings have an option to switch it off
Make sure ambient display is off, and also wake lock for notifications is off too.

My pixel 6 pro was 'stuck' on 81% I'm thinking what the hell?..
Seems 'adaptive charging' was toggled on a feature for regular sleepers, not ideal for a night owl like me I turned it off.

Adaptive charging has a very specific set of rules to work, one of which includes setting an alarm, if you are a night owl then i doubt you will have an alarm set within the paramiters it needs to work so adaptive charging wouldn't have done anything even if it was turned on.
