Possible to remove slide to unlock?

Hey guys I have an Xperia play here which fell and the screen is now cracked.
Everything seems to be ok but it looks like only parts of the touch screen is working. Because of this I can't manage to get past the stupid slide to unlock screen.
This phone is rooted and it has a custom Rom inside so is it possible to remove this slide to unlock screen?

It might be possible to build a custom framework-res.apk for you that doesn't have a lock screen and make a flashable zip for it.
Someone smarter then me might be able to tell me if its possible or not ?

I think a different lock screen could work as parts of the screen are working.
I don't think I can modify the framework.res because I can't get into the phone but I dunno maybe it is possible I'm a noob.
Best bet would be if someone created a flashable zip for me with no lock screen or a different one to default.
I'm on gingerbread if anyone is willing to do this.

Thanks nakuk but I still can't replace the system ui because I can't get into my files.
That is exactly what I need but I'll need a flashable zip not a systemui

u cant even boot to recovery.. if ur ROM is rooted.. boot to recovery.. and NANDROID backup ur fone.. then fix ur screen/buy a new one and attach it.. and When alls done.. Restore from the backup..

I think you misunderstood.
I can boot into recovery the phone is rooted.
The only thing not working are bits of the touchscreen but thanks to the xperia play buttons it is usable without the touchscreen.
All I need is for the lock screen to be removed because the dodgy touch screen won't let me unlock it.

lockscreen problem

hi there,when i use power button or the home key of my arc s,immediately goes to pattern screen not the slide screen ,but sometimes,it works well ,(one in fifty times !)
i tested many roms and kernels,but nothing happened ,any solution ?

Did you change screen lock to slide?
It's under Settings -> Security -> Screen lock.

no ,with pattern lock,wont go to slide screen,before the pattern screen ? for ex choice of camera or the lock screen ?

I checked it out on cm10...yes it can be made to work as you want also...i dunno about other roms though...

so its not a default thing on stock ics ?when have a pattern,slide screen goes disable ?

It is not a problem. In Gingerbread, it was the usual, first slide, then the security option. Starting from Ice Cream Sandwich and all firmwares after it, the slide screen does not occur if any other method of security is being used. So, if you use pattern or PIN or password option, slide screen does not occur. Just to save time.

Some guys are working on it. Check Temasek 's ROM thread. There is a discussion about double tap unlock.
