Got a virgin superhub2 running just standard 2.4Ghz wifi. Everything working great. Got a new P8000 which connects but after a time, it loses it's wifi connection. It's still got full wifi signal and is connected but there's no internet available for apps. Terrifyingly, after some time, other devices drop out same way and wifi becomes unusable. Reboot of wifi router is required. Leaving the P8000 switched off - everything else stays fine. The P8000 is terminating my wifi. Anyone any ideas please?

I have an HTC EVO 4G running FreshEvo 4.1.1.0
The WiFi was working fine without a hitch until recently. It seems that since I upgraded to FreshEvo 4.1.1.0 and updated the radios with the patch, that this is when the problem started.
Now, the WiFi connection "locks up" intermittently and I have to reboot my TrendNet TEW-633GR router so that the phone will connect to it again at least for awhile.
The symptoms are: The WiFi connection with my home router will be fine for awhile. Then, it will not work.
I still get an IP address from the router and the WiFi settings says it's connected. But the connection doesn't work until I reboot the router. But the router isn't really the problem because other phones and my laptop can connect to the router even if the HTC cannot.
To the best as I can tell, the WiFi connection on the HTC locks up when:
A) I run the Roku Remote Control app and something unexpected happens like the app does a force close. The Roku Remote app uses Telnet, I believe.
B) I'm connected by WiFi at home, then leave and the phone switches to 3G. When I come back home, the WiFi between my phone and my router is locked up. However, if I connect to WiFi at another location, it works fine at the other location. Also, I can still connect to my home router with WiFi from my laptop or another phone.
Does anyone have this problem too, or a solution?
Thanks

I would have a go at flashing an alternative radio ROM onto the EVO first. This should be pretty simple if you've already changed ROMs and have a custom recovery.
I'm having problems with the Wifi on mein nexus.
After I reboot, I can't connect to my wifi. It detects the wifi, and during the Authentification the reception drops down to one bar. Thats all thats happening.
But after a few hours, Wifi is on and it works without any problems?!
I don't have any other devices to test the wifi, except my Online Radio, and that works fine!
EDIT:
Just remembered: My girlfriend has a SGSII (duh...)
Same problem there
My router is the Dlink DIR300
EDIT2: Now I got myself the Dlink DIR 652 and have the same problem.
It works for a few hours when I change the wifi Channel.
Is anyone else having problems connecting to (and staying connected) to a Wi-Fi network? Before & after rooting (no rom change, still stock), there are instances where the phone will be connected to my home wifi network, then out of no where the connection will tank. The phone states that it is still connected to the network, but all apps (ie: chrome, speedtest.net, brave frontier) state that there is a connection error. I disconnect from the network, reconnect, then everything will go back to normal for about 1 minute, then the phone loses connection again. Any help or suggestions that anyone could give me would be much appreciated!
Try going to another location where there's wifi. If it doesn't cut on you then there is a possibility it's you're router.
Hi guys,
I have some serious problems with my home wifi.
I'm on ViperOne 3.1.0 connected to a FritzBox 6360 and a 32MBit internet connection.
But I have the problem, that the wifi connection is extremely slow. In the FritzBox web interface the HTC One M8 is displayed with a 1 MBit connection even if I stand right in front of my router with a perfect signal. So I think exactly this is the problem for my slow connection.
After a reboot of my mobile the wifi connection is fine for some minutes, I think till the phone goes to sleep, after that same game again.
I played with the wifi optimization and the standby option in the wifi advanced options but with no luck.
Other clients like my old HTC Sensation or an iPhone 5c or my Laptop are working fine with the wifi, so i believe the phone is the problem not the router.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Every day or two, wifi stops working on my N7 (wifi version) running 4.4.4. This only started about a week ago. If I switch to another wifi connection, then switch back, or turn wifi off then back on, it works fine (for a while).
Wifi continues to work on all of my other devices, so I doubt it's the router.
Any idea?
Hi,
I've the same issue ! My wifi disconnect some times and it is not very quick ! Only 54Mb/s instead of 350Mb/s (that is what I have with my laptop).
