You can do anything that requires root. No recovery or roms yet, rbox is working on it.

Okay thanks how will I know when there is a release?
I rooted my stick yesterday and I couldn't find anything useful either.
Is there a working launcher replacement for a rooted Fire TV Stick 5.2.1.0?

Maybe Fire TV XPOSED Mods by rbox are useful for some of you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2786618

Flashify, but the problem lies in the superuser that kingoroot uses. Its not recognised as Rooted so wont run.

nova isnt pure 21A thats why its working...21A from LG add some security features from 5.1 (the dev of xposed said so) so thats why xposed isn't working although there is at General forum a thread how to make xposed worked at 21A
Anyone knows if the latest Xposed Framework release (v78) solves the issue with v21A firmware?

As in, is there already a recovery that works with the phone? I know the normal Moto Z just recently got a recovery made for it and was able to be rooted.
I don't know much about the development or who does the recoveries.
You can try building the recovery.

I'm not asking in a passive aggressive way at all, but just curious what the hold up for aftermarket oreo roms is. Busy devs? Twrp issues? Other issues?
Just curious, that's all...

Oreo's so good that the need for custom ROMs is no longer there.

New Twrp is out. Doesn't work with SuperSU 2.82 SR4. But I'm sure Custom roms are flashable. Hopefully we will see something by the weekend?

On stock? Nothing, partitions are read only.
Custom ROMs might work if they allow R/W

Read only as in because we don't have a proper TWRP? Or read only as in, yeah it'll boot, but can't write anything to storage after? I'm unclear there. I don't have a 9 Pro to test this myself, but I'm in this part of XDA because I'm heavily considering getting one lol

This has nothing to do with TWRP. This is how Google has decided phones launched with A10+ should be.

Wow that's crap! Makes me wonder if a new way to decrypt will pop up at some point. Just for my own knowledge, if I tried, does this phone just bootloop? Trying to grasp the real world scenario here.
