I sold someone my Z5 Premium Dual 6683 and before I sold it to them I flashed the Russian version via FlashTool64 and they are claiming that they are getting a blue screen after using for a minute with the word "System Error". Any idea what causes this? All the rom versions are just different localizations meaning they have extra apps with whatever language I picked correct? So that wouldn't be the reason.

The official Sony Playstation site tells a slightly different story,
The One X, S, and the rest will have the playstation app included in the jellybean update. Or to quote Sony "Playstation support on HTC phones is rolling out with Android 4.1 and above upgrades, timing of which is subject to regional and operator circumstances"
It specifically calls out the One V as "playstation support will arrive as part of a larger update, details to be announced later on".
So, obviously HTC has informed Sony the One V is NOT getting jelly bean as this new update is well, new.
I am hoping the "larger update" will include a newer version of sense for us, or a "value pack" but who knows. We could also see HTC decide it was a mistake including the One V and ask Sony to quietly remove it from the list of certified devices.
When the update comes, you will have two new icons in the app drawer. The "PSM" icon and a "let's start PSM" which will help you set up a playstation account if you don't already have one.
Yes, there are "hacks" to make it work on any rooted device, but seeing as we have a playstation certified device we will not have to worry about manually updating the darn thing all the time.
All this info is available on the Sony site guys, and is being updated continually. I do not have any kind of inside info, I just know how to use google!!!!
Cheers,

Well, easy........updates.
It's like getting google now on an ICS ROM with flashable zips. Your version is as current as the version the zip was based on. When google brings out new features, you have to wait for a new zip, and flash again when or if it becomes available. Kinda, but not really like "pirating" an app. Updates depend on someone other than the first party. Being "playstation certified" means, when Sony chooses to update the PSM app (done twice already) certified phones will recieve the update right away, phones with modded versions will have to wait for the dev to re-mod the app, or,worse....an update could close the hack used to install it on non-certified devices. This is something we will not have to worry about.

I found some issue with WiFi direct using SideSync.
When I make a WiFi direct connection between Tablet S and S5, I see an S5 screen on my Tablet S.
When I want to type SMS from the Tablet S (using S5 screen) the Samsung Chinese IME keyboard pops up- however my default keyboard is a standard Samsung keyboard. Moreover, the Samsung Chinese IME keyboard becomes somehow a defult keyboard.
In addition, when I hit enter or a space bar key I got some code in SMS window "62#SPLIT" see attached picture.
Very strange behavior...
Any solution?
I cant even get the keyboard to display on my Galaxy Tab S so youre doing one better than me lol
I had that issue when I flashed and played around with a newer Asian firmware. This is something I use all the time so had to go back to US firmware. Although I'm using the latest firmware T800XXU1ANH1, not from Asia, that released and SS works fine.

If I will flash new US firmware with Odin- will it raise knox counter?
No, flashing official firmwares should not affect Knox.
hello i switched from a SM-N900A (at&t variant) to SM-N900T (t mobile variant) since the at&t one had the locked bootloader. I just noticed that when u long pressed the at&t phone for the secondary character like by example the "a" key it would open the alternate symbols popup for that key BUT the @ would be already highlighted by default so if thats the symbol i wanted i just release the key and automatically type the @. but in the t mobile variant holding the key for the secondary character just would open the popup for the characters avaliable and i would have to manually press the @ to make the symbol. I know its just a small bug or difference or maybe since it tied to at&t firmware but it rly annoying to type wothout it when u used to it. Any help appreciated
both phones were 4.4.2 stock firmware rooted with towelroot

after days and endless hours found a thread here from 2013 that explained how to do it. it was a small mod in the feature.xml file gonna leave link in case anyone needs it. root required
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2587203
pd: also tried installing the keyboard app off a at&t phone and also restoring keyboard from a at&t backup and no luck i tho it could be some mod from the feature.xml compared both feature.xml from at&t and t mobile and they r different

Hi All
There is currently a new spyware for android in the news, which was found on Chinese phones made by Blu:
https://www.engadget.com/2016/11/15/blu-smartphones-security-breech/
It was updated with a patch which should disable it on the phones from Blu, at least for phones outside of China.
Can anybody with the typical ROMs check if he has the app "Wireless Update" installed under Apps?
Sadly it's also possible that it simply is named different

I believe I have the p600. I don't even remember which rom I have installed but I rooted and have TWRP on it from years ago.
It still runs although a bit laggy. I tried to install OneNote on it but the Play store says it's not compatible so I tried downloading an APK and upon opening it says "Parse error - there was a problem while parsing the package [OK]"
So if anyone know's and could save me some time - what would be a good way to update this tablet for use in terms of better ROM and using it with Microsoft OneNote?
Thanks!
Probably the Note is no longer fullfilling certain criteria for OneNote, or never was.
That could mean custom rom, root, unlocked bootloader, missing sensors(though not in this case), or an activated adblocker.
Recently one magazine app became "incompatible" with one or both of my tablets, already installed, but no more updates, and began to "degrade", by displaying new articles as a list of pdfs to download.
I can't remember, but wasn't the whole Office365 originally preinstalled, like on many other devices?
Matches also with MS's demands when it comes to ugrading to Win11: Get yourself new hardware first!
Thanks for the reply. Ended up buying their new Surface Laptop Studio. Loving the pen
