I have already created a thread, messaged people but no response. Can someone please explain to me why when i use twrp or cwm no ROM installs and the md5 check fails as does the signature verification and it says that the zip file is corrupt. It isn't because i got it from the skydragon website.

Making a new thread is not the right thing to do in that case.
Bump your other thread if you have to. But don't make new threads for same/related problems. I'll respond to your earlier thread; and ask mods to have this thread closed to avoid confusion (which is inevitable, and one reason that multiple threads are discouraged).

Turn off signature verification in TWRP. You shouldn't have turned that on since the vast majority of custom roms are not signed.
Moderator information,
Thread closed. As per forum rules, please only use one thread per issue. You can bump that one thread one every 24 hours, to get help.

So I was going to try out Cyanogen Mod on my CDMA One V, and I fastbooted the boot.img then the rom and gapps afterward. Well now no matter which rom I flash over to it, everything boots and works just fine, wifi, bluetooth, etc.... but mobile data will not connect what I try. I've tried flashing the stock boot.img to no avail, and even tried to unroot, I've tried to relock the bootloader, unroot and start over and still I can't connect to mobile data. I"m lost on what else I could do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I thought maybe I could flash the RUU but can't seem to find the Virgin Mobile version anywhere to give it a try.

Such a helpful response, wouldn't even have been so bad if you would have attempted to answer the question AT ALL. But I guess telling me that I have posted in the wrong section and that the post has been reported is worthy of a response. Haha
Even if you would have just posted some kind of help ALONG with the fact that I broke the sacred posting rules would have been great. But this site must not be about actually helping others, but instead the posting police making sure the rules are adhered to at all times.
Thanks again.
Yes, this is the wrong section. No, its not ok to be rude when you're the one who needs help. No, its not ok to double and triple post because you failed to research before flashing. Yes had you taken the time to search before posting, you could have avoided this in the first place.
BTW: XDA is a site by, and for developers, and is not a help site. If you want help, this is not the way to ask for it. This attitude of "entitlemnt" will only work against you.

I am trying to return my glaxy s3 back to stock and it just won't work. I downloaded the stock firmware from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737855
I put the phone in download mode
open odin
click pda and search for the file.
First it wouldn't find the file, so I checked my download folder and found it
Samsung-Updates.com-GT-I5500_TIM_1_20111103150347
It seemed fishy, so I went back and redownloaded the file again making sure I was getting the SGH-T999 stock
Tried odin again with no luck at odin seeing the file.
I opened the file and found this file
I5500XXKJ3_I5500XXKJ3_I5500XXTIMKJ3_HOME
Odin sees this file but as soon as i hit start I get an error on the phone saying
Unsupported dev_type
SO what is going on here?

Easy put it in the box. Now it's stock
Try renaming the file ...I think sometimes its zipped...or its named ***.tar.zip so either unzip to get the tar or remove the .zip
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
That's not the right tar file. It needs to be t-mobile SGH-T999

Use this:

Thank Wild for the link.

I'm so tired of seeing these posts in development! The OP's know very well this is the wrong place, but they think their problem is more important then anyone else's, so this is the best place to get quick attention. READ THE RULES, OR DON'T POST ANYWHERE AT ALL!

For being a senior member, you need to relax and just report these things. No need to flip out like you did.
@OP. Before you post, check what section your in. Development is straight development, not asking how T return to stock.

I wouldn't consider that flipping out. There was no name calling, no degrading of anyone, and definitely no foul language used. It happens so frequently, that if the questions are just answered, then it encourages others to do the same. I'm not the XDA police, and I gladly & politely help new users all of the time in any way possible, but if the rules are continued to be disregarded then there's not much point in having them. I think there's a difference between flaming /trolling someone and telling them something firmly so that they won't forget it.

You may not consider flipping out since you typed it, an its your post. In my eyes you slightly did.
If you have a problem with something, just report it an leave it alone.
Also if you want to continue this PM me.
Does anyone know why the folders that clockworkmod is creating when I perform a backup don't have the correct date on them?
ex. 1970-01-28.06.02.02
Instead of today's date. I just went into clockworkmod and installed the latest update, 6.x or whatever... but it is still like that. Am I missing something? Hard to tell which backups are which with the incorrect dates.

seriously search a little, its been discussed numerous times... actually about a day ago this exact topic was brought in its own thread... there are a few threads on TWRP and CWM and reports in those threads about the issue. Just read a little and you shall be granted knowledge that you earned on your own.
There should be a hall of shame forum where every repeat thread, every thread that starts with "a customer service rep told me such and such so if must be true," and every thread that posts a satirical or false story as true should be put. Then everybody could have a counter in their sig that says something like "this user has 3 threads in the hall of shame."

Oh the irony, this thread was hit #1 for me when I google "clockworkmod backup date".
I have been searching all morning for an RUU that I can use to get back to stock. Everything I find is either broken links or links to rooted RUUs.
Can anyone please direct me to an RUU that is not rooted that I can use to get back to stock?
Please try searching using Google, if you're unable to find the information on XDA. I found this, using a simple search

That's great but the file on the link you gave for Verizon M7 is 99 MB whereas the signed RUU on this thread is 1.2 GB.
I also don't think it's helpful to tell people to search Google, particularly when I say in my post "I've been searching all morning".
Thanks

You posted a question in the dev section.
He was kind and moved it where it may get answered or replied to. instead of deleting it.
If you look at the second post in my stock thread, there might be some files of interest.
Otherwise use the rooted ruu that's available and then simply unroot...
Yes, thanks I found your thread after posting my question so I think I'm all set. The only thing I'm not sure of is whether or not I can use fastboot to flash a signed (encrypted) RUU or if it has to be decrypted.
Alright... I'm gonna be the first to say, I probably messed up really bad... So I was running stock rom with TWRP, when for some reason I wiped the entire phone through TWRP, not factory reset I went to advanced and wiped the entire phone. Now this is where first off I say do not smoke weed, you might get cross faded and delete Android. Anyways I downloaded a ROM from Team Venom (Viper), Pushed it through ADB to the phone, and installed the zip... I didn't swipe to install super su (as TWRP prompts) but when I reboot my phone it boots straight to boot loader. I can still access download mode, and TWRP but can't boot into the rom... Is there something I missed? Please help! Thank you!
P.s. I have ADB and Fastboot along with the drivers...
