I recently rooted my phone by unlocking the bootloader and installing TWRP custom recovery.
Now I'd want to go back to stock, fully unrooting my phone and having stock recovery with locked bootloader. Completely stock and factory.
Can anyone tell me how can I do this? I heard something about using Flashtool but I'd want someone to help me through this and walk me through.
Thanks in advance.

Kinda new at rooting/Android etc, right now I have .434 rooted with docomo status/nav bar mod, I want to get all the way back to stock, is the only way to do this is to hook up the phone to a pc and use pc companion? Factory data reset doesn't do it. So let's say I want everything wiped, cwm recovery/root/mods, all of it. PC Companion is the only way?
I used Flashtool and a stock firmware to get back to stock. That gets rid of root.
I'm not sure about un/locked bootloader though.

So if I use flashtool with a generic .434 firmware that would get me back to stock and wipe everything in the process ( i intend to flash the rooted .253 that is out there after this...)?
Similar question here as well. Unlocked bootloader, custom kernel, custom ROM. I imagine just flashing FTF is not going to fix everything? Do we re-lock bootloader via sony's website first?
To go back to stock, just simply flash the FTF (with Flashtools) corresponding to your phone model, that will get rid of all the data, even the custom kernel to give you a Stock Rom & Stock Kernel. Then you can start all from 0. There's no need to lock the bootloader again to do this.
I'll be going on a trip to China soon and I need to unlock my phone. I have tried unlocking my phone with the help of this post, but unfortunately it didn't work out. I read that I need to be using the stock rom for the unlock method to work.
My question is: if I unlocked my phone on the stock ROM and then restored to a backup with Clockworkmod, would my phone still be unlocked?
Also does anyone have a link to good stock based ROM that I can use to unlock my phone?
Any stock based Rom will do it, even the plain rooted stockones. And once it's unlocked, it stays that way until you relock it. Flashing a Rom shouldn't cause you to relock
Hi,
I bricked my phone by accidentally downgrading my boot-loader. I was running Quantum Rom which had previously required me to upgrade my bootloader. Since I was encountering some issues with the rom, I decided I wanted to flash back to stock. Foolishly, I used Odin to flash stock firmware which involved a bootloader downgrade as well. This resulted in a bricked phone . I can still boot into download mode but I am unsure on how to unbrick the phone since Odin doesn't work. Any ideas?
Thanks!

If you are on the i747 and not an i747M, this should help you fix your phone, AT&T I747 UCUEMJB Stock Restore. It is done from a custom recovery.
Hey all,
Is it possible to relock bootloader and restore stock recovery? I have stock room with root and twrp but want to revert back to full stock. Anyone know if that is possible currently?
I'm pretty sure the only stock firmware that has been released for this device is the Chinese variant. If you're on the L24 variant like I am there is no way to get back to stock of you rooted and installed twrp unless you made your own backups.
I made my own backup from stock but would like to make sure I get any OTAs. I assume I need to get back to a locked bootloader?
Nope. I have an unlocked bootloader and I just got an OTA yesterday. Installed with no problem. The twrp is a definite reason why one wouldn't be able to install ota and I'm not 100% sure but I think that being rooted is another although I've read conflicting stories about the root part.
Hey guys.
I'm currently with stock Oreo firmware - v365. Bootloader unlocked, TWRP installed and rooted. I get a notification of an update (373) daily, which I can't install I reckon because I'm with a custom recovery. Each morning I find the phone restarted in recovery and I have to reboot it manually.
So, how can I go back to full stock + stock recovery which will allow the proper function of the OTA? This will be my wife phone, so I don't care about rooting and relocking my bootloader.
I'll appreciate any help and advice.
