Hkfriends from the Xperia threads dumped the system folder for the X10, I don't have enough experience with creating the system image for android so I'm looking for some help as I would like to learn how to make this work in winmo as I am very excited by the potential of playing with the Rachael interface. I just fear that this will almost definitely require that 3d be fully supported by hardware so it may not be possible at this time but I believe that we are very close to having hardware support at least. Any help would be appreciated or if you wish to just develop it yourself I look forward to playing with it.

Hello. I recently replaced my xperia play with another xperia play cuz I love it so much. I had Quake 1 installed on the old phone purchased from the play store back in 2011. The developer was Jack Niu (published his source code) and per my request he was able to release a version on 1-15-12 that made the touch icons disappear so I could play on my Xperia Play (with controls) and no touch screen icons blocking my view.
I still have all the pak files on my SD card for the game, however, the game has been removed from the play store and I cannot re-install. The only file I was able to recover was the "tk.niuzb.quake.asec" file from when I copied the SD card.
Does anyone know how to get this back to the apk file that I originally paid for and installed on my old phone? or since the source code is published, is anyone willing to share apk that would allow me to play this without touch screen icons?
Taken one step further, I would be willing to make a substantial paypal donation for any developer willing to make this happen?
All I really want to do is be able to play Quake 1 on my Xperia Play without those annoying touch screen icons.
Thanks ahead for reading and hope someone can help me out.

Someone out there must know how to get this to work? PLEEZ!?
According to its Google Play description the recent Xperia Keyboard update, version 7.1.A.0.28, introduced the support for the Xperia keyboard themes. I have seen one already in a theme. Is there any tool and/or documentation from Sony about it? Sure Theme Creator for Xperia doesn't support it since it hasn't been updated since October 1.
You can use this skin: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z5-...ient-black-t3275722/post64490382#post64490382
But I don't know how to make it.
This skin makes lockscreen white for me on almost stock rom. There must be a possibility to create standalone keyboard theme, maybe with future update

Hello guys, after of 6-7 months of using XZ1 today I sent an Email to Sony regarding the Raw Support of our Xperia and asking about the Gesture Navigation which was not included in the Pie Update. I am posting it here also, may be you are interested about to hear from Sony
Here is what I got as an answer:
Thank you for contacting Xperia Support by Sony.
We would like to inform you that our company’s primary purpose is to provide ever improving services and always acts in our customers’ best interest. We would like to thank you for your remarks and inform you that your email has already been forwarded to the appropriate department.
With regards to your inquiry, we would like to inform you that Android 5.0, 5.1, 6.0, 7.0, 7.1, 8.0 and 9.0 support camera features via android.hardware.camera2, and Google defines three modes for the new camera features:
-Legacy mode (no support RAW capture)
-Limited mode (optional capability for RAW capture)
-Full mode (optional capability for RAW capture).
Currently, Xperia devices support the Legacy mode, which incorporates features and functionality in addition to our already renowned camera experience. We are always monitoring our customers' expectations, and as for taking photos in RAW format we will consider this for the future.
We currently have not included gesture navigation in Android Pie, and cannot comment on future plans to add it. However, we will continue to listen to customer feedback and endeavor to evolve Xperia smartphones based on their needs.
We would also like to thank you for being interested in Xperia products and to inform you that we are always at your disposal for any further assistance.

I know that it probably won't work but how about we create generic e-mail and we spam the support to inform them that we really would like to get this functionality(with included imei or somthing to not get deleted without reading). We would have to get users from other sony to get involved. Mayby they just need nuber of anoyed customers to "inform them" or get "customer feedback"

is it possible to inform a bunch of people to send emails to Sony? Maybe we can spread this answer to other Xperia forums also and with one great and common email that most of us would send we can inform them. I don't know how they still don't act related to the expectations of the majority. I think these Japanese companies don't know anything about marketing. Another point is that we want the camera support in the future but our high-end devices doesn't lack anything from other manufacturers so why not to implement them in XZ1,XZ2.XZ3 series?
Gesture navigation works!!!!
Guys it has been achieved through ADB
https://forum.xda-developers.com/cr...apps/pie-xperia-10-10-plus-launcher-t3905699/
But you have to use the XPERIA 10 launcher port or else the stock launcher will crash if you try going to recents menu.

We need RAW support to be able to use a GoogleCamera port! Please provide a template mail text and I will send it to Sony, too! :good:
Thank you for sharing this.
Can you pls share the email address where you sent your mail to? I think the more they see the demand for the RAW support, the more they will be able to 'monitor' the customer's desire to get better 'renowned camera experience'.
Also, including that we need more xz1 compact-esque handsets rather than xz2 compact or whatever they are planning will clear their head of the good stuff that they been smoking. :fingers-crossed:

The Sony Xperia 1 will be the first Sony smartphone with a Alpha-style camera including RAW support!
"confirmed one feature that Sony fans have been craving for years – being able to access their Xperia camera’s Raw files for editing. The Xperia 1 supports Raw extraction for the first time, so you’ll be able to grab the file using a third party Android app."

We should try to press Sony to active RAW support for our XZ1, too!

Of course! I've sent the email via sonymobile.com (Greece was the country that I had selected) from the Support/ Contact Us menu. Here is the link also : ( https://support.sonymobile.com/gr/contactUs/ ) . I got the reply from
[email protected] . I wish we could show the demand and they monitor the customers desire bro. Every email that is sent is important. Thanks for the support bro. (By the way, I got reply 2 times for 2 different emails that I have sent. I think Sonymobile Greece cares about us! )

I dont have the email bro since I have sent it via the Contact Us part from their site. However, I started my email by explaining my brand loyalty to SONY and then continued with the fact that due to my technological informations, explanations and my dedication to Sony many of my friends in my environment became a SONY user. Then I stated my disappointment about the products after Xperia Z and that this choice of xz1 was a greatly high hope for me. Then I stated that even some Chinese brands have Raw support and they outplay our (SONY's) Camera performance for which Sony is known as the king of Camera and Mirorless. Then I stated about my problem. By the way dont ask the time, arrival time or similar things I think..

Never used stock Android's gesture navigation, but I heard it's trash in comparison to OnePlus and Samsung's. I hope they use those instead, if they ever go for it.
