Do you have a sense 4+ device and love playing games on it? Well your in luck because HTC and Play station Mobile are being generous enough to give out free PS Mobile games to anyone with a HTC device with Sense 4+. Every week has a new game starting February 1st and the first game is Cubixx.

This might have been mentioned in the Apps and themes thread before this official announcement, I managed to get Samurai Beatdown back on 17th Jan for free, Lemmings is there still now
But I agree, a good move for HTC to try and get some better media attention hehe
Tells me that the service isn't available in my region/country!!!

i'm looking at getting a pebble in a week or 2 and general reviews say nothings wrong with it so it's worth looking at. The sony smartwatch 2 is also worth a look as well.
I was looking on youtube and it look's great..But here in Croatia it's so expensive :/ ..And what about other watches?
Galaxy Gear can be rooted and used with another android device..What do you think guys?Or even Sony Smartwatch it's amazing
I've been using my pebble for a week now and I can honestly say go get one even if the price is steep. With 2.0 firmware you get most of what you get with the gear but 2.0 is still in beta/release candidate(battery drain is insane on my hox with 4.2.2 stock Rom when I was using the beta). The pebble has been great with getting texts, facebook, etc and battery life is great with 4-5 days on a charge.

How much did you pay him in Australia?
And please take a few shots of Pebble in action
I got it for $180 at my local dicksmith store (big electronics chain here in Australia).

Hello, I have read that many Nexus 7 devices (ever since the first model) experience significant slow down after a year of use. I'm considering buying one, and would like to know if this issue has ever been addressed or if anyone could give me personal input?
I've had my 2012 Nexus 7 since launch day, and had no issues with slow down over time. My new N7 is obviously even faster.

I have two original Nexus 7's..…a 16gb and a 32gb and I have not noticed any slow down in either one.

That issue was rectified with 4.3 when TRIM support was added.

hi is it possible to install the htc car app on a gpe rom [kanang] cheers
I don't believe so. HTC Car uses the Sense framework which doesn't exist on the GPE. There are car apps available in the Play Store that have more functionality, just not nearly as good looking, in my opinion. Car Home Ultra is one such example.

What features are you after precisely?

None really... I actually like the HTC Car app better than others out there. But, some people really like the extra GPS features like a speedometer. I'm not a fan of that because it means your GPS is always on.

Do you guys think that a port of the nexus 5's dev preview will be feasible or even possible?
Ah yes, I too would like to know how likely it is, since at the moment the GPE M8 is all I have for development purposes. I am probably going to today to get a Nexus 5 unless its going to be possible. I want to make sure all my apps are going to be ready
i doubt it will be possible
If it's in AOSP then why wouldn't it be possible?
Even if it's not the preview could possibly be ported to our devices

That's what I'm wondering. Is the code going to be available tomorrow? If so I have no doubt we will see roms pop up. If not I guess it will depend on if our 4.4.3 based binaries can be used on Android L. Really hope so... I'm tempted to re-buy a nexus 5.
Pretty sure someone will manage it!
They are not releasing code. Just preview images for the nexus 5 & 7. I'm not sure if a port is possible, but who knows.

I have to say I'm pretty disappointed, I expected a factory image for a flagship phone from less than just 2 years ago would be something Google could easily provide, specially considering Nexus 4 still has the most standard phone screen size (4.7") and similar specs as Nexus 5 (except for resolution, CPU speed and LTE), which exactly is why a Nexus 4 is my primary testing phone. Bummer.
By October nexus 4 will be 2yrs old and past it's support cycle. Just how it be. Maybe they will surprise us

Android L Port for a Consumer
I'm a complete noob when it comes to developing, but I hope that a port is possible and isn't too far away, I honestly just want to try it as a consumer. Whoever can make a port of the developer preview is awesome.
I suspect that it will be possible. But I doubt it will be fully functional. But it would still be fun just to play around with it.

It may be possible when mixing GPE and Factory Image of Nexus 5. They share the same Chipset (800 and 801 are almost identical), One M8 has no special Hardware except the Dual-Cam which is not relevant for testing the System!
It is possible, we ported over Android 4.1 from Emulator to HTC HD2 back in the days!
Regards
Was wondering the same thing.
What about official One M8 GPE owners here, shouldn't that phone get priority over the Nexus 5, or at the very least, get the exact same support and releases.
The One M8 GPE is kind of like the future Silver, it's the current highest end smartphone, with official stock vanilla Android direct from Google.

They did say at Google I/O that it will be released for Nexus Devices as well as GPE devices - when the full release comes.
This is just a developer preview, hence why it is only out for the N5 & N7.
Any update on if Google will send the ' L ' developer preview to GPE devices soon ?

Yeah, it seems to be latest Nexus phone #1, then the latest Nexus tab, and then Nexus 4 later, and then GPE even later ?

I would hope so, this phone being GPE class. I know Nexus is first, but we should be close second.
