I'll have to upload the files and share, I gathered an updated TWRP from the note 5 section and used the CF Auto root.
If you want to locate them since I can't get to them till later do a search for
TWRP-3.0.0.1-M-TEST4
Download cf auto root for sm-g928p link here
https://download.chainfire.eu/807/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-zenltespr-zenltespr-smg928p.zip
Flash cf auto root first in Odin, let it do its thing and followed by the updated test TWRP.
This worked for me, keep in mind your doing this at your own risk.
I did have to flash TWRP more then once with this method to stick.

I can only confirm what worked for me, TWRP-3.0.0.1-M-TEST4 is what I'm on with no issues. Also very important that OEM unlock and USB debugging are on.

sch-i500 fassy just installed beta 4 hoping i don't get phone failure again
well read here that fassy doesn't handle twrp well but there is a work around....not checking insert twrp when using twrp

Phone stuck, and won't boot. Possible soft brick?

Alright so my dad just got a S4, and I did the same steps I did when I rooted my S4, except this time it didn't work. I flashed CWM Touch Recovery v6.0.3.2 and flashed the root file via recovery. Now when I reboot it gets to the Samsung Galaxy S4 logo, and just gets stuck. In the corner it says "kernel is not seandroid enforcing". I'm doing my best not to panic, but I could use some help fixing this.
I can:
Get into Recovery
Get into Download Mode
Any tips and advice would be amazing, thank you!
What "root file" did you use? You need to flash the stock firmware and then use Odin to flash CF auto root or something.

No clue. I just assumed it would be the same as mine. I'd make the safe assumption it's 4.4.2 as the android version, as that is what the website is telling me. As far as Baseband I have no clue. Is there anyway I can find out without booting in?
I've actually done this same exact thing about a year ago with my last s4. All I did was flash the latest firmware with odin and start over. The fact that you can get in to recovery and download leads me to believe everything should be fine, except you may lose all you saved data like messages, pics, etc..

That is reassuring. It was an out of the box thing. We charged it, and then he had me do it real quick. Now I just got to find the latest firmware for 4.4.2.

Okay, and I should be using Odin 3.09?
Instructions
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.09
Extract Odin zip-file
Open Odin v3.09
Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes
I took those instructions from sammobile

Just for future reference, you dont need to hold the HOME button when booting into Download mode or Recovery. Other than that stickboy is right. If you have to, just go on YouTube and find a 4.4.2 root video tut if you feel you need it.
