I'm having trouble figuring out what C0SE (start day) represents with regards to day number. I've tried day in year, day in month, day in week, etc. Does anyone know?

#C0SE# represents the day on which your first calendar event starts. If your next event (i.e. dentist) is on Monday, it shows MON, if it's on Thursday it shows THU.
#C1SE# represents the day on which your second calendar event starts ... and so on
If you want the day number to be shown you have to type #C0Sd#. Hope I could be of any help...

The past 2 days i have woke up to find my phone has turned itself off in the night despite being fully charged. Also today on a few occasions my phone has switched itself off and keeps randomly freezing. It is a Tmobile handet from the initial release on the 26th march. has anyone else had any of these problems?
Maybe get it replaced ...
Try uninstalling any apps to see if it related to a app you've added. My T-Mobile desire (arrived on 26th as well) has been terrific.
mine had been terrific until the past couple of days. I removed the most recently added apps earlier and am waiting to see if this has sorted the problem.

I just got a replacement phone today from t-mobile. my phone was from the original batch received on the saturday 27th. the first few days no problem wotso eva (not including the pink tint on gmail app, htc website etc.. I wasnt bother about that) then the phone reset itself off, thought it was weird but didn't take any notice of it, till it happen another 2 more times. than when I make a call the screen would turn off for standby mode, once I press the red call button, this was annoying because i wanted to use the keypad. it took me a few press on the screen or pressing the power button a few times to turn the screen back on. maybe this was software problem but I decided to get a replacement as Im still in the 7 days cooling period. take advantage of their 7days as once u pass it and your problem still occur they will have to fix it rather than swapping u for a new one. btw if you received your phone on the 27th march, today is the last day of the 7days cooling period.
this is how t-mobile 7days cooling period work. I wrote this in another forum b4.
just a useful info, just rang t-mobile regarding on their warrenty, and was inform of their 7days cooling period:
if you experience any fault, problem or don't like the phone you can get a straight replacement or exchange.
these 7 days period start from the next day when you received your phone and are working days! and does not includes weekend or public holidays
e.g, received phone on saturday 27tth march, 7days period start on tuesday as they would count monday (working day) as you received it, since we have good fri and bank holiday monday those days are not included. therefore 7 days period end at the END of business day on thursday 8th april.
Today I noticed the weeknumbers displayed by the calender of the Desire is not correct...
This week is week number 16. Now take a look in the weekview in the calender. At the top left side of the calender it says it's week 17 :S
I doubt it can be solved.... But ideas are welcome.
That's odd. Mine shows w16.

Mine is showing the correct week number - 16. My build number is "1.15.405.4 CL155070 release keys".
The difference is when you have the week started?
If you set the first day of the week on sunday it displays the right week number, if you want monday as the first day of the week (like most of us here in the Netherlands do) it suddenly says it's week 17 :-S

You're right - If I change it to week view starting monday (which is the danish standard as well) I get the same error - week 17. We should let HTC know about this.
Completely off topic I know, but is your up time and awake time very different or almost the same (in settings>about phone>battery)? Thanks in advance.
Thnx so much for pointing me in the direction of week numbers (I had looked but couldnt find it!) and thanks now for the "fix"!
I've notified HTC of it.
But still it's strange that others, who have put the first day of the week on monday see the right week number (week number 16 for this week).
Question for people where it looks right, where are you from? In the Settings -> Language and Keyboard, select locale, what have you put in there? Here English (Netherlands).
edit:
When put on Netherlands (Netherlands) the week number is correct :S But I don't want my phone in Dutch, I want it in English...

Yep that is the case. I changed mine to Danish (Denmark) from English (Denmark) and it now displays week numbers correctly - So it seems to be by design.
it seems that it is because if it is set to monday it seas the 2nd and 3rd of january as week 1. however if it is set to sunday it sees the second and third of january s week 52, 2009. hense an extra week

And still I think they had to solve it in another way then this one.
I've set mine to Netherlands (Netherlands) so the week number is now correct. But I prefer my Desire in English because sometimes the translation to Dutch is way to strange!
I got the "My desire reboots" issue.
I've called HTC, they said that I need send it in to their swiss local repairpartner and that it takes 7-10 days.
As the repairpartner is in the area i am living in, i wrote them a mail if i can drop it there and catch it (which saves 2 days). No answer for 24 hours.
So i called them and they said "yap, we fix everything within 24 hours"
So I was driving there and the man at the desk said "ah, systemboard, 24h"
good, next morning I got a call "we dont have systemboards, it can take up to 1 week"
That week was over yesterday so I've called to just find out what happens now.
They said that they do not know when they get the new systemboards. it can be this week, next or whenever in if I want to complain I need to call HTC.
Good, as I am keen getting my phone back I called HTC.
This was probably most frustrating call ever.
My question was when will I get my phone back, as I need it for my job. (long waitingtime=searching a "Plan B"
HTC Switzerland is not having any idea when parts get shipped. And they have no Idea how they could find out.
But as my case is just 6 days old they cannot excalate my case. Good, after explaining how a week is "builded" the lady also came to 9 workingdays. (she said I need to call then tomorrow again to get it escalated)
How can it be that a these days a company does not have any idea when a part will be shipped?
How long did your repairstories take?
My friend is planning on buying a used EVO. He's wondering just "how used" it is though. Is there a way to tell when the phone was originally activated, and how many minutes have been used in the lifetime?
The amount of time that a person spent talking on the phone doesn't necessarily give you a good idea of how much it has been used. I don't talk on the phone often - maybe a couple of two or three minute calls here or there. When my boyfriend is out of town (about every other weekend) we talk for a while, but other than that I don't use the phone part of my phone very often. I do abuse the crap out of it though.
Even if someone talked on it constantly, it wouldn't mean problems would occur. My first two Evos were brand new. The charging port broke on the first one within a month. The second one had irreparable software issues that caused me to return it within two weeks. I've had this Evo for almost a year and it was refurbished.
I do know that there are dialer codes that will give you more information, like if it has been refurbished or not. I don't know what the codes are or what information you'll get from them, but it's a place to start. Maybe you can find them through a Google search or something.

I agree with plainjane on this. I use about 45 minutes per month on my phone. Sometimes I use less than that. However, I am a text and data whore. The first phone I had was brand new because I bought it the morning the Evo was released. Six hours later I was robbed at gunpoint and my phone was stolen. So I got a replacement. It spent some time as stock and then I rooted it. Phone worked perfectly but I had dropped it a few times. The case was cracked slightly but nothing too visible. Then I cracked the screen. So I got a third one. And this one has been physically treated like a baby but has been flashed to hell with various ROMs and software packages.
##786# gets you revererse logistics support. You can see all info and reset if you want, just saying
##786# will give you the activation date as well as call time history, data useage history, etc.
All
Dunno what happened, had it for a day and used after initial 14 hour charge then plugged it in when it got to 1% charge.
Hasn't worked since, will not turn on under charge. It is dead.
Can't even get the IMEI number or serial number to see if it's a known issue among us.....
On the btm of the box is 17th Nov so I guess this is inital stock.
It's being replaced next week.
Dave
Sorry to hear that. Always hearing all sorts of things when it comes to early adopters of any new handset device. I'm sure it's just something fault with the unit you got.
Hope you get your replacement soon!
It will be another week as I work away from home
Ah well, lets see what the next one is like!
